Thanks so much, Debra! That makes sense, with the curved inner surface. I appreciate your suggestion of its age as well. Like I said in the video, sometimes I kick myself for leaving cool things behind. Thanks for watching!
That was the same metal music box powder box my mom had. She got it for her wedding in 1948. I've been looking for one for a very long time. You found some very nice pottery pieces.
New sub! My kids live in Wisconsin and we miss them. We visited them a couple times. They are up by Green Bay. I’ve done some thrifting myself in that area. That metal box was a powder box from the 30’s or 40’s. My noni had one. I love it
Hi, Debi! Thanks for watching and for your tip about the box. Hope your thrifting in WI was fun! I've been on hiatus for a bit but will be coming back soon. More to come ...
New Sub. Your thrift store seems wonderful to the ones we have here. Lucky you. I love all the pottery items there, wish I was there. One question, do you do voiceover when editing or you just record your talking while in the store? It is quite loud :)
Hi, @jeannec7758. Thanks for subscribing and for your question. I've tried both approaches, and my more standard way to do it is to reduce the background noise to about 15% and voice over at that level. It seems to preserve the sense of being there with me while keeping the noise level at a minimum. Apologies for when it's loud. I'll listen to this video again to assess. Cheers!
@@brewcitythrifts752 nonono, it is ok being loud. I was just curious if you talked loud in the store lol... btw, haven't seen you update recently. Looking forward to more videos from U :)
the pottery piece in the wire rack with its cover was temptations
Thanks for the tip! Temptations makes some nice, hand-painted patterns too, do you agree?
Loved it
Thank you for watching and for the encouragement!
Great finds. Thanks for taking me shopping
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great finds, can't believe you found Rowe pottery!!
I know, and such substantial pieces! That was so exciting! Thanks for watching and commenting!
the vase at 7:24 and 7:41 😍
I've been trying to pay attention and learn more about pottery because of you. Thanks 🙂
I'm still learning too, Aunt Kelley! What are your favorite things to thrift?
@@brewcitythrifts752 Green glass. Things for the garden.
That metal musical piece was a dresser powder box. I believe either art deco or art nouveau era.

I had one like it in the mid 50’s that my Dad bought me.
Oh no you missed the lime green pyrex brownie pan and pie plate...😢
Great video and finds! I'm a fellow Wisconsinite!
Aww shucks! I admittedly do not pick up a lot of bakeware, but that was definitely a miss. Thanks for watching, fellow Wisconsinite!

I’m going to run out there and see if those African won animals are still available! I would have taken them all!
I get that! They were all very nice! I might have taken the elephant with inlay on any other day. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Polish pottery was temptations which is a pretty big QVC by
Hello, thanks for your comment. I have to admit that I do like some of the Temptations patterns, but I typically don't pick them up for resale.
Omg I need the carousel 🎠 plzzz
Thanks for commenting! Yep, it was pretty darn cool. I'm sure someone picked it up and was thrilled with the treasure!

Please give prices on all things… like the brass pitchers etc. Thanks!
Hi, thanks for your comment. I typically give prices on items I end up taking with me. I don't always price out things left behind.
Prices prices...i need more prices to learn pleasè...❤
Hi, thanks for commenting! I typically price out the items I end up taking home with me. Sorry if I've missed some.
It is Temptations not Polish Pottery
That makes sense -- thanks for the info! Some Temptations patterns are pretty good pick-ups too, I think.
You move the camera too quickly.
