The Wyze 2 designer of this door bell was high on something when he designed the sd card in the side. Also no screw to secure the doorbell in place. This is the bare minimum for a doorbell to be secure.
Sorry my chime box was already in place so I only needed to detach some wires and move things around. I am look for an electrician that would be able to help with this.
No it will. Just the extra chime box controller that Wyze gives you with this doorbell does not seem to work they way they say it should. I did not need it at all.
If I do not subscribe to Cam plus, do I still get a thumbnail notification on my phone for motion detection? If I press the notification, does it bring me to the event that was recorded on my SD card?
You will get a thumbnail notification for the motion event. If you select it, then you are brought to a larger image of the picture it took. You would then have to select playback on the sd card and scrub to the point in the time line to where the motion event happend to see the paly back.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews Is the 12 second free recording only when the doorbell is pressed? I thought you still get the 12 second recording even if it's a motion detection and then it would bring you to the 12 second clip?
@@deviate919 Only for the doorbell press, that is saved to the cloud. You can always go back to your sd card to review footage for a motion trigger. I wanted to make sure I could actually test this out before getting back to you.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews Thanks for your replies and the indepth video. Can you confirm when you press the thumbnail, you have playback icon at the bottom that routes you to your SD card recording and it brings you to the exact event that triggered the notification?

Am I right in saying that the chime box from the original doorbell doesn’t work with the version 2?

How is the speaker, I have the first one and when using the speaker mode it is very muffled of scratchy.
at 20:06 I do a audio test. It is not bad for the size.

@@deviate919 If I understand your question correctly then no. If the SD card is open it will access the SD card a few min behind the live view.
Were the screw holes in the same place from the V1?
They were not.
