- Today we are leaving Tetouan, a city that we learned to like a lot, but we are traveling towards Tangier, a city that hold even more interest for us as I have been there 25 years ago and would like to see how much it changed. This video covers our trip from our house in Tetouan to Tangier, please do check it out.

Moroccans are very hospitable, regardless of economic status. A guest for a Moroccan is always an influential and respected person. He will be offered all the best that is in the house. According to an ancient custom, dates and milk are presented to a special guest of honor. This basic food of the nomads of the Sahara became Moroccan bread-salt. In addition, each guest will definitely be given green tea, which has become an integral part of their traditional mint tea, even jokingly called "Moroccan whiskey."

The custom of dates and milk is an Islamic custom/tradition. The Prophet’s (ﷺ) would eat seven dates and one cup of milk every morning. He never stopped that and the Sahaabah asked about this, and he said, “This mixture of dates and milk produces power to the brain to think well and it takes the poison from the body.” So the Sahaabah used to eat dates and milk.

I am amazed the air-conditioning does not work. Got a coach from Agadir to Marrkech a few years ago. I was cold. Maybe people complained? Of course it is better to be cool than hot in an enclosed space. Enjoy Tangier. I loved it.

All part of watching the video. I thought your school remark was unkind and snide to this lady. You do not want to send your kids to school. So good for you. But we live in a democracy and have a choice how to educate our children as we please. School does suit some children and of course may not for others. Also depends on the type of school you choose. Like everything some are good, some not so good.
