Since i'm back to testing Infinimist optimizations, a lot of viewers were asking what my skill rotation and decision making steps were for navigating combat scenarios and I figure it might help out a lot of people to know the questions you need to ask to make the best choices while piloting this build. I go over the basics of what the build does, why it uses the skills it has, and when you should prioritize one action over another, depending on the specific combat scenario you find yourself in. lucky hit while having a barrier up makes infinimist so smooth even in single target you spawn so many corpses best change ever

Absolutely valuable. I came out of the "Bone Spirit" setup mentality where I wanted to go in -> Reap-> Tendrils-> Damage, while this is clearly Mist in and have options when mist drops. This video will change the way I will approach my gameplay moving forward.
My only add is to say that you may have understated the core philosophy of the build: this build literally lives and dies on Lucky Hit chance so trying to build into infinimist with

@@lawlinyourface Lucky Hit interacts with Abhorrent Decrepify. The skill reads that "dealing damage to a target under the decrepify curse has a chance (based on lucky hit) to reduce your active cooldowns". If your lucky hit is high enough you can reduce your Blood Mist cooldown to less than its duration from all of the AOE damage you are dealing; hence the name Infinit-Mist.
Definitely a great video, I would only add that it is very easy to rotate in blight/sever or even a golem. With inifimist as the base, there is still quite a bit of build diversity. I cleared a t60 at 80 with the basics here + lidless and sever.

i’m also running sever+infimist and really enjoying it. with “consuming corpses causes % damage for your next core skill” and sever spawning blight, i have better single target damage, and just spawn sever whenever im out of mist giving me max sever bonus after every mist rotation
T100 cleared at 87 with no core ability at all
The best thing about this build is that it allows you to ignore so much bullshit, like CCs, exploding enemies, energy management... and it gives necro some much needed mobility.

I figured out today that aspect of grasping veins works with dot damage if you are using barber. 240% blighted aspect on 2h, 75% damned aspect on amulet, 40% decay aspect of ring 1, bloodmist apect of ring 2. I switched out howl for grasping veins because of how much more damage it was and just did a t80 at lvl 78
Since they nerfed NMDs and monsters are way easier, the minions are great at surviving for the exception of some things like obelisk and fire explosions. Next update they are fixing that so lets assume it's actually a good fix and those things stop killing the minions.
Wouldn't be better to have minions instead of reap? The sacrifice bonus are not as good for this build and they bring a lot of utility to the table. Reapers produce a crazy amount of corpses and you can have shadow mages proc more shadow damage. They are also really good at distracting and pulling monsters away from you and you really don't need to invest in them other than the glyph for damage reduction.
I just feel they bring a lot to the table compared to what you use in this build since all reap does is 1 corpse every 4 seconds when reapers will produce a crazy amount of them and the shadow mages are not bad to proc extra darkness.
I was doing this but I dropped them because they just melt to fire enchanted mobs. Then every time you mist, you are auto-rezzing skeletons instead of auto-exploding corpses. Will revisit though once the patch hits.

I have build in mind for the next patch where they change the uniques. I know it sounds crazy, but shadow triple blood wave blood orb bone spirit shield build. The blood wave turned to shadow applies dot 3 times and each wave spawns 3 orbs, thats 9 orbs each cast. Another aspect reduces the cooldown of ultimate only by 1,5 second when picking up blood orb. Thats 13,5 seconds off the ultimate cooldown just for casting it, when stacking cooldown reduction (including focus offhand) you can reduce the cooldown to like 25-30 seconds another 13,5 from orbs, rest by decrepify lucky hit. With correct gear, the blood wave will be basically spammable. Im also throwing in the blood artisan cuirass because the amount of orbs will be crazy (tendrils to spawn more orbs, screw vulnerable). That leads to new temerity, because the orbs overheal. The changed greaves give another reduction to dotted enemy (all of them) and another lucky hit chance. This leads us to unique (pun intended) situation where we use 4 uniques (gloves, chest, pants, boots). This limits what aspect we can use, with some being mandatory (ultimate shadow, tidal, fastblood), leaving us only 3 free aspect slots. Embalmer being semi-mandatory. Last 2 may be to personal taste, but most likely blighted and blood soaked. Would be nice if you tried it out MacroBioBoi (and gave credit due :D)
sure does look interesting. Only downside, this build depends on Blizzard fixing bugs and broken mechanics, you might wait a while before you're able to try this build.
@@Bruno-lr9lm the only bug i can think of right now is the vines not generating orbs, but i hope that will be solved in few days. What else you had in mind?
@@Rencol666 the greaves of empty tomb are also broken but you’re not using the sever thingy proc so nvm, just the blood orbs with tendrils
@@Rencol666 you could also put the aspect that has a chance to spawn blood orbs while consuming a corpse, it procs quite often also
@@Bruno-lr9lm yeah thats the embalmer, i mentioned its semi-mandatory and plan to put it in helmet. As for hearts i want to go with the one that drains essence to buff your damage (its non-spender build so no issue, also exploding corpses regenetes mana and the essence shouldnt move at all, because we have willpower for scourge glyph), red one to passively explode and cast tendrils just to group up and generate orbs, and the blue one for 20% dmg reduction. Blood wave pushes back, and each one of the three does it, so its long distance build initially, followed by blood orb pick up in mist and barrage of spirits

So I see you have updated the Maxroll build, this time using different paragon boards, could you please explain the reason why they're so different from the previous boards? Also you are using the Creeping Death heart instead of Barber, which seems different from the majority of the builds, so it means our dot damage is finally the dominating one instead of shadowblight? If we do not have to manually cast decrepify, and add an essence spender, would you recommend sever or blight -- does blight work the same way as BCE such that even the damage number is consolidated, the lucky hit chance is calculated by each dot instance on the floor? I am sorry for so many questions, and thank you for your educational videos!
I tried blood lance minion build. I tried sever minion build. Tried other things. I ended up with a very similar build 2 this 1 u have. I go around with my bone storm and blood mist all the time as my minions destroy everything. I have so much fun with this build.
Pure gold as always. Maybe try it later because it looks so strong; but right now i'm struggling to make a Lidless Wall + Sever build actually functional. I'd like to see you cover some build alike
After hitting level 100 I tried several Lidless Wall builds. Couldn’t really find anything I considered great, sadly.

It's very bananas the multiple Bone Storm procs to clear low tier nightmare dungs, but as you scale up in difficulty it gets more important to have corpses around to cas CT and to generate essence for SingleTarget burst with sever. The last hope is the fix to Expossed Flesh aspect in future patch
Look up how Echohack used it for his HC S1 speed run to 100. For that purpose it’s very strong.

If you wanna be really spicy use blight instead of decrepify with the aspect that pulls them in when you blight+ aspect with resource on CC, spam your infiniblights and watch them dance since they wont be able to move as they explode for 2 mill+

I currently am running this build and find myself sometimes in a position I have not ever been in before with my necromancer saying, where are my corpses! So yes, this helped.
My question is do you / you guys think that the ring of Medellin build with minions and bone prison is a more viable / dmg dealing build.
I was told this is 3rd rate to that but this kills so fast! 2nd is adding home spear in the mix not reap and 3rd Medellin ring with minion reapers and bone prison.
Thoughts?

You said to cast Corpse Tendrils manually in Blood Mist down time for sustained CC, applying vulnerable etc. etc. ... but i wondered: from the wording of the grasping vines aspect ("when you cast") and the Malignent Heart ("Automatically uses one of your Corpse skill on nearby corpse")... did you by chance test (or maybe just know^^), if the Sacriligeous heart Corpse Tendrils "use" does procc the aspect-buff? If not, it would in addition to the other reasons be almost mandatory to manually cast it against beefy Elites or bosses, right?
It does work like that but Sacrilegious only casts once per 6 seconds and you need to have dealt damage to the target with the tendrils to deal bonus damage or it, so you need to overlap the heart's casts with your own to apply the effect to all enemies.
Just did NMD70 with it, have you tried Iron Maiden instead of Decrepify, while having Heart for Decrepify Aura and Aspect of the Damned? 50%[x] shadow damage got some insane numbers. Also Iron Maiden damage procs Hewed Flesh, Decrepify CDR and other stuff. Also I am using Barber, even if it makes your Bone Storm Barrier generation unrealiable, the damage is just way too insane, might drop it when I get to even higher dungeons where I need to have Barrier all the time.

I am currently Level 78 hc. I made the following changes in the season (maybe you can tell me what you think). I dont have much gear for fortify. So I put those points in Iron Maiden for the + DMG on Doublecursed stuff. The decrapify from the heart. I run the cc wrathful too, so I play with penetant greaves to get another cc. I also run a shield (only cause HC, which allows me to play 20dmg reduction for 6s after Baseattacke instead of the decay aspect)

Now that I get slowly to the 90-100 area I wanted to ask if Uber Lilith is possible with this or if everyone switches to the special bonespear uber setup.
Specially respeccing the whole paragon board just to kill Uber lilith smothly annoys me already now.. why is their no possibility to just save a board and detach it for a while ....
I feel like the patch today broke this build with Explosive Mist not reducing the cool down nearly as fast. Have you seen this happen with this build in your testing after patch
What are your thoughts on swapping the Decrepify on the skill bar with Iron Maiden, then using the Aspect that adds 50% damage when affected by both?
Since Decrepify is already cast as you move through in Blood Mist (provided you have the heart version with either 1 or 0 nearby enemies)
Doesn't seem like a big skill point investment since it isn't a core skill that needs 7 whole points that would take a away from passives
And easy rotation: cast Iron Maiden -> go in with Blood Mist + Decrepify Heart
It seems to have been working well for me in my setup :)
I do this on my non-crit DOT build. Works well, only issue you have is not having that damage reduction on an enemy before you are on top of them. It's minor, but worth mentioning. The heal on kill is also really good in my opinion. Single target is lackluster, but being beefy is great. I'm only 89 and can easily do a NM75, easily farm ~NM65.

That's Infinimist for you. Make sure to Reap every 4 seconds and keep density up as long as you can. Don't forget to corpse explode instead of letting the heart eat everything with tendrils.
Why not use Aspect of the Damned, and swich decrepify for Iron Madien ?
Im having a problem keeping my mist up. It doesnt seem to get its cool down lowered while im mist form. I have 7p% lucky hit chance. Is there something im missing

When I got necro to 50, I find there is only 2 good builds: blood surge and this one: Infinimist. I like Infinimist more because it does a lot of aoe damage without being out of mana all the time.
macro, do you think we'd be better off without the auto-corpse skill heart? it seems to mess up the cooldown mech of bloodmist

Side though. If you're focusing on as many damage instances as possible and you maxed on that. Wouldn't attack speed be the best thing to stack cause it would give you even more damage instances? Edit I tried it and now I'm machine gunning corpse explosions. With howl from below it's hilarious! I'm getting close to 2 corpse explosions a second.
Where are you getting attack speed from? I'm running Howl so no glove slot
Idk, maybe i dont have enough lucky hit but my blood mist takes forever to come off cd. When im against like 3 still strong targets it works but if i fly into a massive group of mobs they die and my mist doesnt reduce at all....
But how is your single target damage?
It's infinimist so slower than bone spear but faster than blood builds

This is the build I’m trying to play in the current season. I say trying because so many of the aspects I need aren’t in the codex and I’m not having any luck in getting them to drop.
Hello, I'm running this build (as listed on the maxroll site) I have all the powers you suggest and all of the legendary aspects you recommend. I just got Howl from Beyond last night. My gear is all sacred as I have just entered tier four at level 65. I am finding that my cool downs on blood mist and bone storm are still taking a long time.
I have a lucky hit change of 32 and a lucky hit with barrier of 18. is my lucky hit too low? After season 1 I find it difficult to keep track of decrepify as I used to rotate around me free. If I am missing my decrepify hits do you think that is my problem? Or will I just need to get my lucky hit up with ancestral gear?

You need minimum 50 base lucky hit and to prioritize Decrepify in the rotation to feel good on the build

How do you get that blue circle around you at all times? I'm running this build but can't work it out, dunno if I'm missing something, or if it's because I have the graphics on low.
You need the Decrepit heart and sometimes it bugs out.
Is Black River even worth running on this build?
If the DPS from blighted corpse is capped & the AOE doesn’t get buffed… my initial thought is that I would rather have the corpses proccing individual lucky hit effects with slightly reduced damage than to have multiple corpses only proccing to one lucky hit effect with slightly buffed damage.
IMO, people forget that the base damage for 2 corpses is 200% damage.
If Black River only improves the damage by 120% for 2 corpses you’re only doing 220% damage.
It’s essentially a 10% damage boost per corpse… but you reduce your chance to proc lucky hit effects by at least 50%.
AND you’re also reducing the # of shadowblight procs when the corpses are pooled together under one DoT. So the overall damage might not even be better.

So a wand is better then the unique scythe? Not inly gives a wand lucky hit, but 4 individual corpse explosions trigger 4x as much lucky hit as when the scythe combines 4 corpses into 1 big explosion?
Wand is much better. It all adds up to one big corpse explosion as opposed to 5 individual corpse explosions.
I really do wish people would just adopt explosive shadowmist as the name like the person who first made it popular wanted since we aren't in blood mist infinitely.
I was covering Infinimist 3 months before the game came out, so imma keep calling it that.
Is this feasible in T100? Or do you just get one-shotted if you can’t immediately go back into Blood Mist? I’m doing T100s on Bone Spear right now and it’s so fun.

I am trying to determine the viability of stacking some extra Willpower to gain more benefit from the "Wither" legendary node, at 800 Willpower it's a 32.5% damage multiplier! However, I am seeing many people claim Wither doesn't interact with "various abilities" (whatever that means) and Blighted Corpse Explosion doesn't benefit from "Shadow Damage" or "Shadow Damage Over Time" bonuses. Can anyone confirm this is the case?

Can I kill uber Lilith in season 1 with this build?
do you know how legendary aspects with an "x" scale exactly? do they multiply within the "all damage" bucket? how do legendary nodes and passives scale such as "core skills deal X%[x] more damage"? do they work multiplicative within the "all damage bucket" or do they onlymultiply with specific +damage% values?
most aspects are a new multiplier of 1 + the bonus in the tooltip

@@MacroBioBoi just to confirm. a legendary aspect that gives you 50%[x] more damage would multiply your entire damage by 1.5? And the same goes for legendary nodes? "[x]" is always its own multiplier bucket?
after watching videos on how damage works there was only ever the mentioning of "buckets" -> wpn dmg, skill dmg, main stat, crit, vuln, overpower, and finally the all the rest dmg bucket. from my understanding the [x] damages multiply itslef withing the "all the rest dmg" bucket, but you can confirm they are their own multplier?

Yes. I am doing NMD 70 with AotD and Barber and damage is just insane. Using Iron Maiden instead of Decrepify since you have Decrepify aura.

I think the thing your missing on infinimist is bone spear. I made a hybrid between your build and bone spear and it's carrying me through nightmare dungeons 10 lvls higher then me. I'm currently lvl 65. So I personally use reap, bone spear, blight CE, decrepify, blood mist and corpse tendrils. Gear is basically bone spear and skills points I'm sure you can figure out. It plays like a melee bomber. I love it. I can't wait to see what you com up with next.
Was just about to say. Im rockin a Deathless Visage bone spear INSTEAD of a basic skill, and instead of Tendrils im rockin an Iron Golem as a tank distraction for enemies, as well as the guaranteed Vuln/Stun when i activate.
doesnt bone spear without bone passives (which would directly compete with darkness skills and pasives that infinimist and CE need) just reduce your overall affectiveness? everyone in diablo is doing 10+ levels higher with any halfway decent build. I was clearing tier21 NM at level 62 with infinimist+sever, and even killed the butcher without sweating or a mob to assist in uptime.
@@RussellD I never said I didn't run bone passives. I hybrid into the most important ones on both personally. The theory is to get the best single target and survivability in a build. The dots are just to fuel more corpses to pump out bone spear which has a super high lucky hit and resets blood mist and corpse tendrils instantly. I find that shadow blight doesn't give enough dps compared to the bone spear passive. Also bone spear crits constantly for massive damage on the same amount of targets as shadow blight but with better burst. So now I have great single target and AOE damage, as well as unequivocal survival compared to a non infinimist build. I'll let you know how it goes as I reach higher tiers and better gear.

Just a thought at this point. We have the ability to sacrifice our reanimated entourage, but we can’t sacrifice the ability to use corpses-even if we don’t want them.
To me this seems waste of opportunity. Just saying.
Also I don’t understand why the corpses drop. Why can’t we just use the ragdoll mesh a dead target already provides - OR - better yet, have us sense the souls of the dead instead.
The loading screen tooltip says only we can sense the corpses of our defeated foes. Nope. Technically everyone can see them. We just sense small heaps that… no wonder some necromancers go insane.
I like your version of this build. When I see infinimist builds with core abilities it doesn't really seem like a true infinimist build anymore. I'll probably swap back to this if they are not going to fix blood orbs on corpse tendrils soon.
