fun fact, the reason Popo is portrayed as being so strong in DBZA is that during the Buu saga he casually blocks punches from super Saiyan kid trunks and Goten at the same time without much effort. and they decided to take that and run with it
Thats also partially due to the misconception about Super Saiyan. People have this idea in their heads that Goten and Trunks mustve been as strong as Goku beating Frieza here. Thats just not true. Super Saiyan is a multiplier. Not a rigid power boost. If Goku was at 10 and it was multiplied by 10 hed be at 100. But if Goten and Trunks were at 2 and then multiplied by 10 they would only be at 20 even though they are both in the same form. So Popo being able to block them isnt so far out of the realm of possibility, especially if they were training or whatever the context was. I doubt they would be trying to kill him.

I remember being a kid and being SOOOO surprised by that.
Broly wasn’t around at this point because his movies weren’t canon to the series. Broly was not born a super saiyan he just had a ridiculously High power level
I wouldn't say Goku had an evil laugh when he was transforming. It was more of a seething grunt. My theory is that Goku was having a moment where his Saiyan side was starting to resurface. Kakarot wanted Frieza to suffer, but Goku didn't want to lose control, and in the end, during the scream, both sides reached a compromise. Beat the everliving hell out of Frieza, maybe even kill him.
When I saw this around 7 1/2 years ago when TFS premiered this at the con I went to before they released it on UA-cam, there was something grand about everyone in the audience roaring with excitement and laughter along with myself!
The Super Saiyan 3 transformation is also good. The actual form looks weird but the transformation is great.
Goku was voiced by MasakoX. He's said the whole cast was worried about the scream and took like 20-30 takes before choosing the first one.

It was actually a common misconception for kids watching it when growing up, and chances are he hasn't watched the original since then. So it is an understandable statement.
So Goku and Gohan are both voiced by Masako. Kaiser voices King Kai and later Trunks.

@@ChromaticEagle The only time Toriyama has expressed feelings about ending Dragonball are after the PILAF SAGA. Toriyama didnt know Dragonball would blow up like it did so he wrote the Pilaf Saga expecting that to be the end of it. It then exploded in popularity and he never talked about ending the series until he ended it.

I do think the scream is satisfactory but could have been a couple of seconds more intense.
Yea most people dont understand that Brolys Super Saiyan form is actually its own thing. It's literally Legendary Super Saiyan form. No one else can achieve it, because no one else is it(in this universe). And it clearly has it's own kind of power, which is automatically on par with Super Saiyan 2 and has the potential to reach Super Saiyan 3 and Blue levels respectively. Most people seem to just think Broly is an OP super Saiyan, but again, he isnt a super Saiyan, he is a Legendary Super Saiyan. Sorry for the book 🤷♂️🤦♂️

Original Broly isn't canon. None of the movies are canon, so stop using stuff from the movies as talking points when discussing the canon of the Dragonball story. It is well known that the original Broly is popular with immature meat-headed douchebag part of the Dragonball fan base, but popularity does not mean a character is canon.
Also, TFS HATES OG Broly, don't expect them to treat Broly with much respect. He doesn't deserve it.

@@Melly_Wayy I feel they dropped the ball a lot with Ultra Instinct. It worked in places, but when it came to the final product (Design and visual potential in fights), it was super uncreative. I also think the blue energy on silver hair and orange pants is just kinda bad. A godly ethereal white would have worked much better from a design standpoint IMO. I could go on about all the other choices I would have made for UI, but I'd be here for awhile
Less disappointing Gohan For me it was the concept of someone so much stronger than you but now this one power up just randomly makes you godly lol I just never could get into it
@@Melly_Wayy Personally I find the idea of instant reaction fascinating. What I would have made it was a connection to everything. Your God Ki (Like all Ki) is intertwined with the very fabric of the universe and it's inhabitants. You just pull from a source. But UI should have been you become a part of it. And saying that Goku achieved it by the Spirit Bomb exploding into him (Literally the energy of other living beings) via black hole (something related to the universe itself) it would be the start of the connection between other Ki sources. And you can Dodge and attack instantly due to your connection, almost like a magnetism. Connecting or repelling. IDK. That's kinda weird, but I'd like it a lot better than "Oh you can just dodge now unless the story says you can't"

Freezer is actually his real name. But when the Japanese say it , it sort of sounds like Freiza so the English Fub used the name Frieza instead of Freezer.

17:05 I usually didn't mind the "next time" segments. But I was pretty mad that Vegeta's sacrifice was immediately ruined by telling us that Buu survived. The sacrifice was the end of the season, too.

I always thought of that "evil laugh" of Goku's as being how a monkey would sound when agitated. The way he was moving, combined with the sound, gave that impression. Then again, I was watching things like The Wild Thornberrys on one channel while watching reruns of this on the other, so that might have played a part in it. Plus....Ozaru.

Was there an animation error in the original, or did the spirit bomb somehow cleanly cut his tail again? Krillin cut off Frieza's tail in his 2nd form, he had his full tail again when trying to hold back the spirit bomb, but then it's cut again when Goku stops Frieza from firing a blast at Gohan escaping with Piccolo.
the spirt bomb "cut" it i watched the original and i know (freeza can grow his tail back like other lizards 😂😂)

Watching this a year after it’s been posted, binge watching it all and realised they missed the part that Goku actually held a grudge for Picolo charging his attack while Goku had to distract Raditz.
Now Goku was the one charging his attack while Piccolo distracted Frieza.

Super Sayin 3 is my favorite transformation but 1 will always be the best, question is Super worth watching ? I love Dragon ball z and all even the movies of course but why watch it when most of the side characters are useless aside from the main badass Sayins. Vegeta, Goku, Trunks and possibly Gohan when he is Ultimate form
Yes and no its basically the same thing over and over in super and goku acts literally retarded but seeing vegeta turning into a protective husband/father is nice.

Yes, watch super. The ENG dub is just all around a fun show to watch. A lot of humor in the dub version. But either way, sub or dub, it's worth the watch.

That's not a scam, that's how they make money so they can continue to upload to UA-cam like it's their job (which it is...). You, personally, NEVER HAVE TO PAY for their Patreon if you don't want to. Just wait every week for these videos to come out, and eventually, they'll all be out. So don't complain about useless shit. Are you really upset over free content? They have to stick to a schedule in order for their UA-cam channel to thrive and grow over time (i.e. getting views and likes consistently each week and not blowing their load). Anyway... not that you're going to care, but I figure someone has to set it straight.

Since they compared themselves to Blind Wave with how they say doing daily drops would be difficult saying as in the watch schedule in the order they do things would be to much of a hassle not a release schedule hassle.
Blind Wave was doing them 1 a day up until of course they caught up. They could easily have just daily dropped this series and still kept their schedule. why not drop DBZA daily since it's a fanmade series and just profit from all the other show with patreon? Like they dropped all 3 parts on youtube while on patreon they actually had people wait a week apart. You can even see half their DBZA reactions are in batches of 4 or 5 episides just by the clothing. They'd still get consistent views from daily uploads while maintaining their schedule with the other shows. But hey I'm just pointing out an obvious situation that they said they couldn't do but easily as shown could do.
