When the machine has reached the installed humidity. But then the humidity in the room increases , will the machine run automatically?. If the humidity in room rises too quickly within a few minutes, will the machine run immediately? Or do i have to set anything? And how long will the display return?

I've been using the 12 L one for 2 years. It is a grat product indeed. When celaning the filter yesterday, however, though cleaned regularly, I saw there was some dust (dirt), collected inside - behind the plastic grill - where the coils are and between the alluninium radiator ribs. The dust is quite stuck with the moist and I can't suck it out with a vacuum cleaner. But is it there and I can see it. Is, there a way that I can clean up the radioator and the coils? Thanks!

Try using a toothbrush, slide it up and down . Try not to bend the coils.

Is the 20L and the 12L the same technology and efficiency but one is for a larger house?

The bigger the machine, 20 L is for a bigger room or house.

Hi, thanks for reply. It has only been on for half an hour so I will give a chance to run in a bit more. The noise seems to rise and fall in pitch every half second or so and I was just wondering if that is normal.

+Chris Michael I have also just placed an order from your website for the 3 hepa filters. I really did need to invest in one of these dehumidifier as the RH was displaying 91%.Thank you again for support and I feel confident that I will get great customer satisfaction.

Does the hepa filter have to be the right way round or doesn't matter which side?

It only fits one way round. Meaco logo facing you.

The filter supplied for the 12L is not shaped nor does it fit like one in this video 😐

That is because it has been updated to provide a 100% perfect fit. It might be an unusual shape, but it will fit perfectly.

I bought this Meaco 12L a week ago from Meaco approved reseller Love Shopping Direct.
I like the fact that it’s a very design, nice looking dehumidifier and it also has HEPA air filter capability that I want. The machine operations is clever pre-setup - it will turn off once it reached my desired humidity level and then, for every 30 minutes it will just run the fan for few minutes to check whether the surround humidity level is still the same or need to be dehumidified again.
However, I find it’s misleading completely that Meaco advertises its maximum noise level is 44 dBA from 1 metre away. It’s 44 dBA only and only when its fan is running but once the compressor kicked in for dehumidification, it’s 53 dBA minimum!!! Heck it’s exceptionally noisy. I leave mine in the hallway and it does not help - it’s ok during the day but at night, it’s a challenge to sleep with it running.

Chris Michael I have been quite surprised when you responded quickly. Yes, it’s very well design machine especially the unique HEPA air purifier.
I didn’t know you Meaco owner until now. I used NIOSH calibrated device to measure the sound - it may not as accurate compared to measurement from professionals. It seems like first 10 minutes ON the Meaco running its fan only. But when the Meaco 12L having compressor running, it’s much noisier even than my Neff integrated dishwasher which is 49dBA on paper. Hence, I suspected it cannot be 44dB.
I have read your previous response to earlier commenter saying it would become quieter over time. Since I only have had it for 1 week, I will wait a bit longer to see.

Chris Michael Just wish to update, I ordered Meaco 20L Low Energy one. It has been delivered today.
Noise of the 20L version is half of what Meaco 12L I got! Hence, it must be faulty or defect. I’m pleased with the new dehumidifier now and will be returning the bad one.

This thing is so awkward to empty, dribbles water down the side of container on to floor which then needs mopping. The water in the mop then evaporates in turn rehumidifies the home and so the cycle continues wasting my electricity in the process. This came to me from the ministry of crap design, I wish they gave it this to a different department. Arrgh!!
