watching in 2020... I remember drooling over these units when the GSP's first came out.. who knows, maybe someday I'll score one on fleabay.. Great video mate!
Better than the petal crap of today. 135 is mine to play.. they went backwards for the new shit. College phds wanted it different to sound like 1960 again they don't make the stuff no more . it's hard to find I love the limited edition that I bought the best. that's why we have all the pedal crap all over again like we saw in the 90s who wants to bend down and touch what they're doing when you got it in the right of so you can push a button . Rack gear is so much simpler but it's hard to find now because everybody is so stupid in the alternative crap. Thank God I grew up in the eighties to listen to some good stuff made from rack units.
well yes everything is debatable and subjectove of course - just sounds to me that mine sounds better and i have that stuff on - no offense or bad intentions - just honest remark - i m especially talking about the heavy distorted sounds
Pieter Loose I tend to agree with you actually. what I find even better sometimes is in recording use one channel cab sim, other no cab sim. Pan hard left and right, blend and EQ to your taste. I look at sound like I look at paint. A lot of different colors and screw whats your "supposed to do" :) Cheers
That Digitech Processor sounds great. Great job with your demo. What song are you playing on your guitar at 7 minutes & 36 seconds? That riff sounds very familiar. Please let me know.
lol ive been using that 111 for about 4 years. that GSP2101 is easily the best piece of equipment ive ever purchased in the 12 years ive played guitar. especially if youre tech savy enough toknow how to upload your own presets
Hi Robby-I have one of these processors with the Control One pedal board. How much do you reckon the system is worth in today's market? I found it was a bit too complicated for me as a guitar vocalist primarily but I'm sure a young gun with some time to explore the patches would get some monster sounds from it. Phil-Malvern-UK
GSP2101 is a experimentator`s tool for sure. If you`re into 80`s-90`s music, you will get things you need right away. It`s not great at modelling (so popular now with AxeFx and kemper) - it`s original thing by itself. It has great expanding capabilities in signal path routing like splitting it to 5 or more ways, process it differently and control up to 20 parameters with FC at realtime. However, you still limited with (dual) S-DISC power. A UFO`s remote control from 90`s it is =) You can get it for a 1/8 of AxeFX II price, take care and have great fun, but you will really need to learn this thing. And MIDI too. There`s a lot of modern processors to do the job much easily and still not so expensive.
I would say that rig is worth about $300 canadian but I could be wrong. Prices have been strange lately I find, things that I think are worth a lot go for next to nothing. Regardless this is a killer piece of gear in my opinion
Holy batman. 30 fret guitar!

I've got one from 1995, and I will never let go of it. There's never been anything better.
Nice 👍 playing and your demo is very helpful!!! These are excellent units and they really come alive if you put in 2 vintage 12ax7’ preamp tubes !!
Well demonstrated, Robby, I was here before you see in the comments 6 months ago,,
That effect at the end sounds so awesome and epic!
Plus the distortion is brutal as fuck!
Definitely needs a speaker sim on that or an impule response.
The more experienced players seem to agree the factory patches suck and programming there are a bitch. But the effort pays off.
4:47 - 4:51 is an awesome lick.
turn on the speaker simulation and it will sound 100 times better
Debatable. Subjective.

Hi Robby, I was wandering if your unit is wich software version and upgraded full with extra memo card? Thanks for it,,great demo!
Hey no problem. To be honest I am not sure, I sold it ages ago
Hey Robby, why did you sell that unit?
Because I flip music gear for about 1/10th of my living
Sad to read that, you needed the money to survive,,, all the best to you. grtz Luc
