Only one thing needs to be said: PRE-ALPHA. This game isnt in a beta stage. It isnt even in alpha stage. This is way, way early version of the game. The AI was said to be a placeholder. The performance issues are being worked on since day one. There are massive chunks missing like the super natural element that's supposed to be the main plot of the game. Or a faction that's supposed to be living in the island and work opposite to players. If you like mil-sims and are willing to compromise on an unfinished game, GZW is for you.
I’ve put many hours into this game crash free with 2 different PCs. And I’ve had fun on it. It’s miles away from where it should be and development progress is a bit slow, but it’s still a fun game that has many tense moments. It’s all about mindset, if you’re just gonna go in with a closed mind with one goal which is to find absolutely any bug or glitch big or small and claim “there’s your proof that the game is bad” after showing us a clip of ARMA jank with a Car rolling…
The problem with modern tactical shooter genre is that it's mostly an empty promise, filled with interesting features, mechanics and gimmicks that mostly has little to say about storyline and in game universe, unlike how it was back in early 2000s, when it was filled with Political thrillers, direct action with interesting stakes, over the top action
This game is fun when you get those PVP moments while trying to complete hard quests, but yeah there is a decent amount of cope you have to have, and nuance to understand the potential. I just hope they get there. I never played early tarkov but I wonder if it was similar
I bought the game on day 1, and well wasnt that bad when you think its early stages of developement... returned after the Night ops update and must say i am PLEASENT suprised... but I must admit I havent seen the issues that you show in the video with teleporting or non responsive AI... Just wish they will bring some progression skills or something like that in the next patch, alongside a lot of new guns :D
If slorgs finds games like this boring, no one tell him about trucking sims! "What's the point all I do is drive around" - slorgs probably when he plays a truck sim. What about a farming sim? "all I do is drive around my farm doing the same tasks" - slorgs likely. What about games like Counter Strike, they have been playing essentially the same game for decades now with slight updates "all I do is run around the same maps & shoot people" slorgs playing CS or COD or any other FPS. Point is different people like to play different style games & pointing out that an early access game is half broken is like pointing out the sun rose in the morning.
GZW is a squadish Tarkov I think. Similar bugs, optimalization issues, boring progres with tedious quests, cheaters. I think we might consider GZW to be a Tarkov killer at some point lol.
Guess i started this game at a really good time? i picked it up 10 days ago and i have experienced none of these problems. The AI is actually good and the main problem is they fucking john wick you 2-300m away in between the eyes sometimes and they can shoot you rather well behind bushes. I am not even running a beefy pc and i can get ard 80-100 frames consistantly on medium settings and i have having a blast. Best 20+ bucks i ever spent and i am already above 100 hours in.
easy way to improve the game by miles , better ai , make the servers , maybe bases you can make ? small ones , which can be raided , gives more to do , wildlife to make the world feel less empty , huge map and not a single deer? weird . faction compounds , more basic missions, maybe attack a convoy of mercs driving through the jungle , thats just stuff i came up while typing.. and they cant even do it with a whole paid team ... enemies dont take damage to knifes either ? are they British ? ps loved that charlie reference lol night man
I got the most expensive pack on launch and put like 300 hrs into the game or close to. i wont be coming back till i can get over 100fps and there is actual depth to the world. i done all the missions once and id much rather play Tarkov or DayZ
I run it on geforcenow app on my tablet with my Xbox controller and I'm getting 200 fps at times been working awesome for me GeForce now is so worth itcan turn any computer or tablet into a 4090
I refunded this game due to getting spawn killed at the very beginning of missions & when extracting, it happened so often. That I just wasn't enjoying the game experience at all.
The game has a good concept but fails on performance and AI. Both of them are a deal breaker and the new Update is not really going to fix eather one of those. Early access was not designed to be used for open alpha games to be released in the first place. Instead of bringing night ops and more gear into the game it would have helped more if devs had improved performance and AI. And who could thought of that,... surprise, surprise,... the game (standard edition) will be on sale after the update. It really looks like they will abandon the game unless new sales or player count go drastically up.
6:20 huh, that does reflect well on them isn't it But yeah, GZW is a promise of a game that will be great """one day in the far future""" if they stick by it and nothing more right now
The UE5 hype is so overrated, too many devs rely on the engine and advertise their games with graphics as the key selling point. I'm fortunate enough to have a rig that can handle UE5, but it still leaves a lot of gamers behind, forcing them to play on low settings because the devs went for visual fidelity (which doesn't even look that great) over good gameplay, games who solely rely on "good" graphics more often than not lack charm or identity. Gamers don't care about ray tracing, bullets bouncing off water, doing repetetive tasks. And then you got the heli's, ahh the helis, there's no incentive to traverse the map when you can just land at your task and fly right back to base, rinse repeat. We should've known it was bad when they released the trailer with streamers communicating in coop, it's just boosting their own ego, in conclusion GZW is dogwater.

I dont think you should bash a game just because its not what you wanted they showed everyone gameplay and they told you it was in early test not much more they can do then that. i think that this is a game you have to enjoy watch grow. ive seen where they partner up companies that make NVG just to make sure it is properly displayed in their game. also with how open to critics the game is and you being a influencer im sure you could tell them about any flaws to the early game that need to be worked out. srry if this is hard to read i just got off shift tired AF
What a bad take damn.
love how when indie and AA game went for a complex openworld game, cant escape the jank.
You cant say it "almost delivered" when its literally early access and is still delivering. Its not "released" yet.
GZW is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. The community is top-notch. We're excited for the next update 🤙.
talking about south america have you played the squad favela mod yet? its sick
Working on it, probably end of December
Been playing the new update, never run into the bugs your facing
Considering these guys came from making mobile games for cell phones to this says alot tho ya it might be a technical mess with glitches and bugs but I thoroughly enjoy this game for what it is now I’ll definitely enjoy the finished product if I like the state it’s in now so madfinger has my support. I see something great in this game that down the road is gonna be so enjoyable if they continue whatever they are doing, I’ve got faith in them. After all, this is their first real somewhat AAA title and coming from mobile games says alot
I really wanted to love playing this so bad lol. I even had a few good moments where two friends and I would clear Blue Lagoon together or something, but that was 1% of the playtime when the game was working, the shots were registering, and we wern't getting instantly one tapped through the trees with 0 clue where the enemy was
shot registration and ai aren't hard issues to fix. the base game mechanics is good. people like the uploader are maroons
@@cagneybillingsley2165 I mean to each their own opinion, friend. I hope it gets better with time but it'll be quite a long while before GZW gets installed on my hard drive again lol. Like I said, I WANTED to enjoy it- just couldn't with the existing problems.
16:13 Jason Stathom at the end of a movie in the early 2000’s directed by Michael Bay
Stop shilling + buying early access games. How many times must gamers learn this lesson.
You haven’t played Squad in Early Access? You WALKED everywhere, not even vehicles.
I think we might consider GZW to be a Tarkov killer at some point lol.
i think this game has a great foundation and im looking forward to its future
I had a bunch of hours of mostly queueing so Steam refused my refund.
They need to add more weapons and customization ontop of all the other problems. Game just m4 and ak74 everywhere
"Pre-alpha" ... -.-
This game was ridiculously dogshit, this and Homeworld 3 were the first times in my life I have bought a game and felt scammed
The game was honestly trash in my opinion I bought it when it came out but played it for the first time a couple weeks ago I wish I could get a refund
homeworld 3 went woke. this game is fine, you're just used to call of duty style adhd presentation
@@cagneybillingsley2165 quit ur ragebait lmao
I want to love this game, but there’s something off about it….everytime I get on, I hop off after 5 mins…..ugh
@bunbun2181 truth hurts 😢
Please make a comparison video between this game and older games like Takedown Red Sabre :) it would be fun to see somethin like it. just for fun
nice song
easy way to improve the game by miles , better ai , make the servers , maybe bases you can make ? small ones , which can be raided , gives more to do , wildlife to make the world feel less empty , huge map and not a single deer? weird . faction compounds , more basic missions, maybe attack a convoy of mercs driving through the jungle , thats just stuff i came up while typing.. and they cant even do it with a whole paid team ... enemies dont take damage to knifes either ? are they British ? ps loved that charlie reference lol night man
NGL, i'm subbinng purely because oof that outrro lol
I think they released the early access a little bit too early...
Grayzone is legit af
I mena the game is fun but you right, quests are extremely repetitive it would be awesome to have different things
lmaoooo i am Czar_Vlad
You know a game is good when its defenders use whataboutisms, the early access excuse, and revisionism for other games to prove it’s actually good.
It really looks like they will abandon the game unless new sales or player count go drastically up.
one day in there next few years it will be fucking awesome but until then it will just be a un optimized mess
Music needs more blast beats
Best review ever made on GZW
6:20 huh, that does reflect well on them isn't it
But yeah, GZW is a promise of a game that will be great """one day in the far future""" if they stick by it and nothing more right now
The UE5 hype is so overrated, too many devs rely on the engine and advertise their games with graphics as the key selling point.
Hey you a Grimson boy, we got cookies lol
Yeah this game only has about 300-400 active players. It’s on its way out soon.
So does anyone actually find PvP I go to all high traffic areas and never find any PvP
“Minecraft does it better” bro wtf were u excited expecting ? That zombies and skeletons would come after u ? In a MILSIM ?? Like bro what are u on about 😂😂
ok!
looks like the game is buggy for you. i don;t have those issues
It's actually a good game with a decent update coming out
Let's hope that if the game takes off, it doesn't turn into Squad where the only way you actually have a community is with people who treat the game like it's not a game.
Do you actually play Squad? Because I've VERY RAREY come across people who take Squad seriously and arent just fucking around 90% of the time.
Idk I’ve had a ton of silly interactions in squad, more than not
@BlindxSide I play Squad. You misunderstood it looks like, I meant communities take it so seriously it's like they think it's real life and we're deployed. You can't get into pretty much any community unless you commit several hours of lectures and trainings.
3:35 surprise surprise yet another kill the Führer mission in Sniper Elite....and I am perfectly okay with that 😂
They're a staple to the franchise, like Nuketown is to Black Ops
This guy is so negative and only focused on the cons. This game is extremely immersive and can be a ton of fun. Terrible video
Early access game isn't perfect....go figure....
I just want my money back
Its leaves you like the game… half finished
It became far too easy for anyone with asset access to toss together trash and put it up on Steam.
Did yall see there upgraded editions give NVG while basic sucks off..great scam train
The shortcomings of this game are the shortcomings of every tactical game. They focus too much on all the cool tactical shit meant for killing things, that they actually make the killing the worst part of the entire game. The only tactical games I've played where combat and enemy ai feel solid is Ground Branch (especially because of customisation of AI behaviour) and Zero Hour (literally the best tactical game out there that nobody plays).
Want to see the most brutal AI in a game ? An AI that will give you PTSD ?
Play F.E.A.R ! You will shit your pants how AI is smart, relentless and brutal !
Nothing comes close to this !
@@Real_Claudy_Focan and there's also Stalker and it's AI, comes close too
Ground Branch has solid AI? In what way?
@@Real_Claudy_Focan I've seen a couple videos on F.E.A.R, great looking game, I played trepang2 which was heavily based on F.E.A.R and that game was a blast.
@@OperatorMax1993 Played stalker Anomaly a ton, one of the most immersive games I've played.
Another extraction shooter, and boy do I know how much you love those! Was fun to mess about in the playtest together, but shame the game lacks depth and leaves a lot to be desired...
thats expected in early access
@@RealEyesRealizeReelLies Or any Extraction shooter
This isnt an extraction shooter.
Yeah I got this game but it's no from me
Now I don't feel so bad for missing the play test 😂😬
"I'm well 'ard" 😂
Read this as he said it lmao 😂
@bigblackstick love it when that happens!
i feel like gzw was in pre alpha at launch, literally had nothing to do.
Feel like? It was and they said that 😂
@@gmcleod360 "I feel like" nobody paid attention to how early this early access is (It wasn't supposed to be released but everyone whined because some streamers played it)
Then everyone hopped in on the hype train and then got disappointed that it is in fact incomplete and the earliest of access
@@gmcleod360 even with the safety blanket of a term "early access" there is still the expectation that the game is somewhat playable. like at the very least there's stuff to do. maybe i should say it felt like a tech demo.
@usmokedout I’ve never had issues with any build of the released game more did I have issues with the recent experimental test. People that are complaining of not being able to play are using 20 series cards.
Tarkov began development in 2012 & still not finished. Sniper elite sucks, Its not a scam GZW. It Genuinely is hard to make this sort of stuff.. not much like it out there small team too. most games just make sequels because its easier... new stuff takes too long to make.
this is still a thing?
have you ever used real nvg tbh they look real n tbh if you had real nvg you will complain about the headache that you would get from using it all night in real life this is not a scam n look like the best realism of nvg I've seen jus cause you can't pick out everything n it probably gives you headaches using playing this game well that's what you get when using real nvg that's why their light on rifles now you have to think like a soldier
This game wasn’t that bad
