The Perfect Size Airflow Case - The Ultimate Fractal Torrent Compact Review

The Fractal Torrent is my favorite case, I am happy to see you using it for different builds. Looking forward to hopefully finishing my build soon so I can also enjoy that sweet sweet airflow.
I love seeing the temps so low in this case with air cooling. I always enjoy your honest reviews and the less than optimal space for cable management is a bit of a deterrent.
The added visual dimensions of the different motherboards, PSU and GPU into the case as well as mentioning max heights of CPU cooler was such a considered and informal execution. I now know exactly what parts I can fit in here. Well done Rebeytech!
Lovely review! Great content
Man this is sick
So glad i found this channel, really good contenet and information, and a great upbeat vibe
subbed instantly
Welcome aboard!
I've been after a Torrent for a while, this video has convinced me, especially the section on cooling the CPU as my 3900x on an AIO is a toasty boy!
Hi Robey and crew. I usually watch you on Twitch but the cut down versions of the streams are great when put on UA-cam. You gotta do more of those. Anyway, I always love the dad humour and editing (sick Tony Hawk reference bro) plus the on-point technical observations that make your channel's special sauce.(And yes, I spell humour with a "u" but that's just how we lunatics do it here south of the equator 😁)
But I digress. This video just happens to be the most perfectly timed and relevant video you've ever done for my needs as I am finally building a PC after many years of waiting. In my country, it's often hard to get great PC parts like this but I am convinced that this case is worth the hassle to import. Despite the slightly less roomy cable management space, you made it work so kudos and I reckon I'll be able to do the same. Btw when will case manufacturers give us more room for cable management? RGB fans have been around for years now and we're still getting 20mm for cable management. Come on folks!
Once again, keep up the fantastic work. I've always wanted to leave a comment; you gave me the perfect excuse. Take care.
Also, the parts you chose are super close to what I chose for myself. That was a surprise. Get outta my head Robey.🤣
Aww! Thanks for the awesome comment!
I went for the nano last week with a12600K on biostar b660GT. Nice looking, efficient and silent air cooling.
This is one of my favorite cases and I think I will evaluate it for the next PC that I hope to build in a few months, if the difference in cost of the fans to be added does not exceed that of the big brother.
Precise and detailed review, as always. I love air cooling and prefer it if it's not strictly necessary to switch to AIO or custom liquid cooling.
Too bad that DARK ROCK PRO 4 didn't have the KIT for the LGA 1700 socket, I was curious to see how it performed with Torrent Fractal as it costs less than Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black and has more space for the height of the RAM, also simila performance/silence.
I agree, it would be better to have a little more space on the rear panel and the possibility of inserting a 140 cm fan on the rear panel. Also I think it would be preferable to have the HDD position at the bottom with any vibration dampers, as they would be amplified at the top (ruining the excellent acoustics of the CASE). Obviously no CASE can be perfect, but this comes close.
Thank you so much for the $ 25 and making building my next PC closer.
Its so small yet so good ❤️
It looks like you went with the Fractal Aspect 140mm fans for the bottom and rear (120), am I right? If so, how do the colors match up with the Prisma 180mm that come with the case for you?
I ask because I cannot find any 140mm Prisma's for sale at a reasonable price, so I have a set of Aspects in my cart.
I honestly love the full size Torrent.
Hello, I'm making a build with a 13600 and 3060 equivalent card and my PSU will be semi-modular, AKA with the big fat combo wire. Do you think that will be fine or cause a bulge?
That look like a great case just for the air flow.
I’m curious to see your opinion! I built with this case and it’s absolutely lovely. Initially I thought double glass side panel was weird but it actually looks really premium. I have my case to the left under my desk. My biggest tip is to run the front fans really low because they pull in so much air they reach max effectiveness for my hardware at super low RPM. I tried running them full blast and it didn’t drop temps at all (this is a good thing). I’m planning to retire my last HDD because it’s by far the loudest part in my build. Maybe I should get to work on that nas!
Great build. It would be nice to see what the temps would be with a 360 aio.
Hopefully you can get a solid panel and see what the temps are like as well!
Whats the size of the fans at the bottom that were used in this build? 2x 140?
So to clarify, you can still fit two 140mm fans at the bottom with an atx mobo? 8:13
I'd think adding a rear fan at all is likely of no use for a front to back airflow situation, considering you wouldn't need additional static pressure for the path of least resistance (out the back of the case)
Can i fit 2x 180mm Fans in Front ASWELL as 2x 180mm fans in the bottom ath the same time??
how can you make case longer than torrent nano buy fit the same max gpu size?
Hello, does anyone know if i would have issues installing a Noctua NH-D15 in this case? MB will be a Asus TUF Gaming X670E Plus Wifi.
Thanks in advance!
I have SEVEN hard drives and my tower is 27 inches tall and I never heard of a NAS before must learn more thanks
Is the scythe mugen 5 good for this case?
@6:25 RTX3090TI Founder's edition is 336mm.. Would it fit?
Fractal Torrent Compact + Noctua NH-D15 chromax black or NZXT Kraken X73?
What I think reviewers should do, to actually see how good the airflow is regarding GPU temp, show the AVG clock speeds aswell, the GPU temps might not be the best or better than some cases, but maybe the clocks are better as this can keep it at 65 at higher clocks. Maybe I am wrong, but I think this is a good area to be looked at regarding cases.
Specs in the description above are wrong, not updated for the change of cooler and RAM.
Is that Christmas music in the background at the build + montage bookmark?
In my country rgb version cost 400+ us dollars up to 650.Its insane!
no noise numbers?
This guy is so cheesey. Seems only a few PC reviewers like gamers nexus and a handful of others aren't cringey as hell.
Appreciate the feedback. Not every person is going to be for every viewer and I am glad you found people you like who review PCs. Thanks for at least checking out the video and hopefully you got some use out of it.
How big of a fan can you put in the back 140m??
No, only 120mm in the back . 12:32
Do you think I could fit a 330 mm gpu in this case? Looks like yours is 324
I have a 330mm and as you are probably aware by now, it's tight.................so, so tight.
Well, it would be the perfect air cooling compact case 30mm wider for better cable management. Also, I'm also curious how happy the PSU sucking hot air from the CPU cooler. Although, the Lian Li Lancool 216 also competitive for the best title. A CPU/GPU thermal comparison would be useful here.
the 2 180mm do not fit if you have 2 180mm in the front
mATX with 4 180 fans is kinda what I'm looking for. Though I'm not sure about noise.
I want a size between this and the normal torrent😆
like the case and that it gives 2 360mm spots for radiators... wish this and most other cases with vents on bottom would have slightly taller feet so that they wouldn't be dirt devils aka dust suckers...
Good quality video with fun script, good review but WHY THE HELL ARE PEOPLE NOT SUBSCRIBING!?
i just checked the price today 2024 ,,,i wanted the fractual torant there 229 dollars no way i would buy it at this price,,, i dont like the fact you cant put a water cooler at the top of the fractual torant it has a solid top with no holes only can put at the bottom of the case or the front ,,i will be buying the LIAN LI Lancool III RGB Black i can buy it for 165 dollars i like it way better
I think the case looks amazing except for the glass panel on the backside of the motherboard... unless you're amazing at cable management...
The white version comes with a steal back instead
Uh oh, the charts are getting mixed up again! Maybe your editor should nix the distracting exit animation of the charts entirely and just keep making sure the numbers are in the exact right place.
We noted it in the video
m-atx on the nano? nope
This vs meshify c
matx doesnt fit the nano unfortunately
