- Hyunjin Kim, the CEO of Superani and a long-time friend and manager of Kim Jung Gi, sends a message to the many friends and fans who have expressed their support for Kim Jung Gi's departure.
When I say this man had an impact in my life, I mean it.
Kim Jung gi is a hero to me. I watched his videos close to everyday, and no matter what he blew my mind.
What was more impressive than his drawings is his commitment, dedication, curiosity and passion to understanding subjects, and to draw them.
Before I watched Kim Jung Gi, I treated art like a hobby. I only cared about the end result, and got frustrated easily.
Watching kim Jung gi, I realized to him art wasn’t a hobby, but a lifestyle.
And when it comes to one’s life, you aren’t going to focus at the end of it, but live it during the moment.
Kim Jung gi taught me to love drawing, not just the end of it. The moment is what matters the most, but the end has a great impact.
I realized Kim Jung gi drew to live, and lived to draw. In all our hearts, I think we can all agree he is a legend.
Kim Jung Gi meant a lot to us, the art community and even more to you, his family and friends. We thank you for sharing him with us.
Thank you Kim Hyunjin for your wonderful words. When I saw the notification for this vid, it was difficult to click on it and watch because I knew that all the memories and shock will come back and remind us. But this message was reassuring in a strange sense knowing that we all feel the same. I'm very very glad Kim Jung Gi was sent away with such love, respect, and reverence from millions across the globe and all my condolences, prayers and thoughts are with Kim Hyunjin and staff, and most especially, Kim Jung Gi's wife and children. May they receive the support they need. I hope they are doing well.
Kim Jung Gi will never be forgotten, and time will never bury the legacy he has left for us through his art.
My heart goes out to you Hyun Jin Kim, the team, family, friends and everyone who loved Kim Jung Gi.
He will forever be remembered and cherished in our hearts.
It was such a shock that he was taken from this world at such a young age. He was one of a kind, there is no one else like him - a true genius

You know, to me I respected and loved Kim Jung Gi more than just an artist.
You can tell he truly has fun as he draws. He hasn’t lost his child like spirit. There’s just something so pure and beautiful about a person constantly doing what they love. He just knew how to live in his truth, and didn’t hide it.
I didn’t know Kim Jung Gi personally, but I can tell he truly had a special personality and aura around him. I miss Kim Jung gi a lot.
When I heard about his passing, it just didn’t feel real. I was just talking about his yesterday before he died, and to me it just didn’t make sense. Kim Jung gi is a man who has all my respects, seriously. Rest In Peace to the goat

마음이 치유될때까지는 좀 더 많은 시간이 걸리겠지만 (완전히 나아질 수는 없겠지요) 김정기 선생님이 남기신 너무 많은 추억들, 웃음들 되새기면서 지내겠습니다.
아직도 언제건 금방이라도 라이브를 시작할 것 같은 착각이 가끔식 듭니다.
유가족들이, 김정기 선생님이 얼마나 많은 사람들에게 위안, 영감, 희망과 열정을 일깨워줬는지, 얼마나 큰 의미와 영향을 줬는지 아셨으면 좋겠습니다.

Thanks, Kim Hyunjin for your message, I could not control the tears rolling from my eyes as I watched this video. I still can't believe that KIM JUNG GI is not with us because he is very much alive in each of us. Kim Jung Gi is an unforgotten HERO who will live forever.
The world has lost a true visionary and a very beautiful soul, this has been awful news to hear, many condolences to his family I wish them strength in such a hard time in their lives.

I can't imagine how hard it was for you to make this video but am glad that you did. I never met Kim Jung Gi but through all his posts, videos and live stream, it almost feels like I did. The way he was so eager to share his artwork and his knowledge with us and with such a joyful smile is a gift we will always cherish. He's a legend and his legacy will live on for a long time.

for a while i had been hoping to one day meet mr Kim Jung Gi but am too young to do any traveling on my own. So instead a started drawing, a lot, in hopes that i could one day meet him when i was older and have him see my work. When i heard knews of his passing i was extremely sad that the person i looked up to and strived to be passed away. I cried for quite a long time saddened by the news. I have nothing but admiration for Mr Jung gi and still do now. I thank this channel and all of superani for introducing his amazing art to me and so many others so we could be inspired and strive to become someone as great as he was. He inspired me to never stop drawing and for that wanted to thank him for that. His work was very dear to me. Thank you for this video. I hope that everyone that was close to Mr.Jung Gi is doing okay

No tengo palabras, esto parece irreal... aun no puedo creer que mi artista favorito desde años cuando descubri sus obras impresionantes ya dejara nuestro mundo fisicamente. Seguia sus dibujos desde internet, no tenia recursos para poder ir a ver sus eventos o poder comprar sus libros. Vivo muy lejos, en otro continente, pero aun asi, el fue una gran inspiracion para mi. Son de esas personas que solo nacen 1 cada 500 años, un talento desorvitante. Gracias Maestro KIM JUNG GI! se que tu arte sera eterno e inspirador para todos aquellos que lo descubran.

The sad feeling of loss is the result of years with love and happiness with the person that passed. We percieve this as a negative but again its a reminder of the good times we have had with a person close to us all in some way or another :) Kim Jung Gi was a great man and will forever be remembered as such in the artists hall of fame that will live on with every artist that learns of him and watches his huge Video backlog. Thank you for sharing his art and I hope you all will keep producing content like live drawing sessions on stream and more with other artists in honor of the man that made us love it :D KJG was a happy go lucky kinda guy and we should all, to the best of our ability, celebrate him and remember him with a silly slightly perverted giggle he so often sported hehe :) Wish you all the best and cant wait to see what our future holds in relation to KJG's ureleased artpieces.

Sympathies to his family and friends. I found this out today watching another video and was sorry to hear it. You did a great job holding yourself together while delivering us information not owed to us. I'm sorry you lost your friend. Having an empty space where someone you love once occupied is hard on the heart and soul. I hope you find a way through the web of grief experienced after loss. Kim Jung Gi's work and the heart he put into it will move on through time inspiring future artist and people along the way. His life will change lives.

My deeply felt condolences. Kim Jung Gi was a real source of inspiration. I never met him, as well as I never met Caravaggio or Dürer. Yet their and his virtuous skills and style influence how I draw myself. He was a genius, and just by watching him draw, one could learn a lot. Thank you Kim Jung Gi. And thanks, Superani Team.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Kim Jung Gi may have been a true inspiration for a lot of us, someone we admired, but for those of you close to him he was a father, a husband, a friend, a teacher... I can't even imagine the pain and sorrow you are experiencing right now. May he rest in peace and may those who are heartbroken find some comfort.
