On top of being a monster guitarist, Jennifer is a fantastic person: very real and genuine. When I told her that she used some "expensive chords" when backing Jeff Beck on GOODBYE PORKPIE HAT in concert 3/20/01, she smiled at me and told me she worked very hard on the arrangement and that she was going to steal that saying from me (I stole it from Andy Summers)!
Thanks to GuitarTV for proving the greater the vid, the less views on UA-cam. Here's an hour forty five of true creative genius on display, with only 189 views after 23 days. This vids views should be in the millions. But thanks for sharing this great performance, and I look forward to more.
One of a very few guitarists completely at ease with technology and totally unafraid to use it. Like Jimi Hendrix, using it to make her guitar not just sing, but speak as well! A superbly talented and innovative musician who works incredibly hard to create unique visual montages to accompany her performances. There's no-one quite like her...
I can see how her presentation here could catch on for other performers. Nothing beats a great band and we'll always have that. But this is a great way for musicians to express themselves as well. Jennifer may be a head of her time with this kind of audio visual thing.
God what she could teach us in just a couple of hours or more. She's ultra educated and practiced in music. Love her!
