Jordan may of got beaten down hard by those teams in his early years, 3 things we can say for sure. 1. He had 0 all stars on his team. (As Skap noted) 2. He still perform amazing in those series, even though he was beaten down. We live in a society that want instant gratification and always take the easy way out. A wise man once said “Nothing in this world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty”. Hence this last one is the defining factor for me. 3. Even though he got beat down hard, he stuck with it and prevailed. Never jumped ship to take the easy way out.
you know from my perspective, even though he lost those series Jeff himself was never beaten.... i think in every series lost he averaged like 40 to 45 a game, I know for James his average in lost ply off series is much less, so I've had to come to terms w/the possibility that if he did have better plyers back then like say for instance a prime Ice Man George Gervin he probably would have done better or maybe even gotten passed the early Pistons.. I dn't see the Celtics though they were just way to deep to beat and had a Larry Bird before his back injury that changed everything for him....
@@maxacorn Yea losing to a team with 5 hall of famers. But you never heard Jordan say the Celtics are just too good. Lebron loses to the Warriors with 3 hall of famers and then 4 and over and over it's "The Warriors are just too good." While Lebron has Kyrie, Love, and JR Smith. Supporting cast vs supporting cast in the 17 Finals: Kyrie, JR, and Love outscored Curry, Klay, and Draymond.
First he had George Gervin who was a 4x scoring champion up until’82 7x All NBA player when Jordan got swept by the Celtics, whose strategy was to let Jordan cook while his team watched. Michael Jordan is the only star player of his era who complained about the Pistons trying to hurt him, neither Magic nor Bird ever did, but the MJ myth must be fed 🤣🤣🤣

That's what happens when you have the best roster in the league by a country mile in a watered down expansion era with a limited talent pool. I mean who was the best team MJ faced in the Finals- Utah? Stockton & Malone right? Who else? Where are those two ranked all time? SHHH.

The ‘98 series alone proves why Jordan is the undisputed goat. And to me it’s one of the best series performances ever. At 35 and playing without pippen for half the season jordan led the bulls who were the oldest team in the league and one of the worst ranked offensive supporting casts ever, to a 62 and 20 record while he led the league in scoring, made the first team all defense and won the mvp. He went to win the championship facing the Utah jazz who at the time had the greatest power forward ever and one of the greatest pgs ever that beat the Hakeem, drexler and Barkley rockets and swept the Shaq lakers in the playoffs. He did that with pippen struggling with back injuries that final series especially in that crucial game 6 . He single-handedly took that team on his back yet people talk about how lebron “carries franchises” and “bum squads” to the finals
@calebshorts8024 if you actually watch that play and not listen to what people say, you would notice that as soon as Jordan crossed over and Russel kept going forward, Jordan's hand fell straight down. if he pushed off, his arm would've kept going forward with Russel. what you see is basically jordans hand was more like resting on Russel. he probably used as much force as you would guiding your girl to her seat with your hand on her lower back.

Jordan´s North Carolina team trained with the greek national team when Nick Galis invited them. The greek´s learned a lot these days, but you could see a shift in defence in NC´s game.
Great video but one nitpick is that Scottie was an all star in 1990, so Jordan did have an all star then but tbf Scottie got a Migraine in against detroitbso Jordan was alone again. Doesn't affect the point though.
You should have mentioned the following INSANE Jordan stat: only time Jordan played with another all-star on his team (Pippen) was from 1991 to 1998, during that span Jordan played 26 playoff series, his record? 25-1, only loss coming in 1995, when he un-retired and returned to playing basketball with only a few games left in the season. In Finals, he averaged 33,5 PPG, winning, as we all know, 6 Finals MVPs and never even allowing a game 7. That's inhuman

Lebron has played with more all stars, hes played more than 450 total games, and hes logged over 17,000 minutes than jordan! At first glance it seems that lebron has a slightly better FG% which by the number he does but most of those shots that lebron took throughout his entire career have been from 0-3 ft from the basket! Layups, dunks and put backs, point blank range but what about outside of 3ft? Lebron averages 37% outside of 3ft and it's even worse in the playoffs with 35% and in late game situations when they are down it falls again to about 32% As a 40 year old Jordan average 42% from outside 3ft. So even as a shell of what he used to be on the bulls Jordan is still a better shooter! So to say that lebron is a better shooter than Jordan just by looking at the percentage is quite misleading! Yes LeBron has made the finals 10 times to Jordans 6, but let's not look at this as making the finals is the same thing as winning a title! In the NFL the buffalo bills made a Superbowl appearance 4 consecutive years but do you really think that the fans wouldn't trade just one Superbowl for the 4 appearances!? Lebrons lack of performance in buzzer better situations. Oh but I forgot many LeBron fans like to bring up his couple buzzer beater shots that he did make. But let's look at this more closely. 5 seconds to go in the 4th or OT who do you give the ball to? In the regular season and playoffs LeBron has shot many of these and his percentage is around 20%, 20%! That's just embarrassing compared to the same situations for Michael he's around 50%! That same numbers as any other time in his career! That's clutch! Don't tell me LeBron is clutch because he did it a couple times! Lebron lead the league in scoring only once in 2007-2008 season. Jordan lead the league 10 TIMES! That's 10 consecutive as well! Jordan lead the league 3 times in steals and he's won defensive player which is something LeBron hasn't done! That don't mean hes a bad defender well, I beg to differ! As many times as I've seen his lack of attentiveness on defense I will say he's not in the mix of great defenders! Jordan has 6 titles in less games and minutes! I can go on and on! This 'debate' isn't even close! The only reason this is even a debate is because you young generation walking across the road looking at your phone idiots don't know the greatness that came before your time! As well as the sports media hyping up LeBron with ever now and then eye opening shot or move he does and his longevity for his scoring record! Yeah, longevity! Tom Brady has 7 Superbowls, why? Because he's played a lot longer than all the other great QBs of the game. But the difference between Brady and LeBron is he has eclipsed everyone in achievements, but even with longevity LeBron still hasn't eclipsed Michael! Lebron is goat! YOU HAVE TO BE A MORON!
You also have to consider different rules today's rules makes it easier to score with more spacing to operate which makes mjs competition even more impressive than lebrons especially when mj only had one allstar while lebron had 2
Don’t forget the phantom “broken hand” that wasn’t. Dude is throwing down dunks with that same hand an hour earlier, and shaking hands with it 30 minutes after that, then suddenly it’s “broken” as soon as it’s interview time…😂
Sports media is like the news media . They don't report the facts, they just push narratives . Honestly lebron is barley 10 of all time and that's due to longevity .
2013 one vote shy of unanimous mvp 2nd in dpoy voting finals mvp and a ring 2018 most 40 point games in a run run and 2nd most points in a finals run shooting 54% with 9assist or 9rebounds per game
or in 2015 where bron created 62% of all points by the cavs and single-handedly took a 67-15 win team to game 6 in a finals or 2016 where he had arguabally the best three game stretch in finals history
What's also interesting to note is that each year the Bulls lost with Jordan, they got a little bit better each ensuing year and made further progress than the year prior. They lost twice in a row to the Celtics and got swept both years in the First Round. The following year('88), they won their first ever playoff series when Jordan hit the first "The Shot" over Ehlo against Cleveland, and then lost in 5 games in the Eastern Conference Semis to the Pistons. In '89, they lost again to the Pistons, but this time they advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals and got one more game off the Pistons and lost in 6 games. Pistons win the ship that year. In '90 the same thing happened except they push the Pistons to Game 7, gaining one more game than the year prior. And then in '91, they broke through completely, swept the Bad Boys who walked out of the arena with their tails between their legs(watch vid of Isaiah walking past Bulls' bench before Game 4 ended), and with Jordan playing a full season, ...... THE BULLS NEVER LOST AGAIN. Jordan and the Bulls pressed through adversity and progress and never regressed. LeBron and the Cavs(version 1) progressed and then regressed and when that happened, instead of sticking it through and putting in the necessary work to get to the mountaintop, LeBron bails on his teammates on the floor in Game 6 against the Celtics, jumped ship, and bailed on Cleveland the following summer and manufactures the beginning of his 3 "superteams." I knew he was done in Clevelan when he walked into the tunnel and pulled off his jersey.
The Bulls did lose again after 91; they lost in 95. Also, the Cavs were a sub-20 win team without LeBron and constantly lost despite him averaging near-30-point triple doubles every series. LeBron was practically forced to leave Cleveland because it was impossible to win.
Also , imagine Le Bron having to deal with prime Karl Malone, Shaq, Ewing and their crews .. Le Choke would be so scared he'd become Curry before Curry , shooting baskets from mid court.
There is no goat of any sport that has lost more than they won. Every goat also had to repeatedly over come adversity. No goat recruited all the best players to play with them. Goats live for adversity. They love competition. Lebron hates competition, it gives him a headache and makes him quit
Beautifully and perfectly stated. LeBron has been trying to take the easy way out since he took his talents to South Beach well over a decade ago...

Jordan may of got beaten down hard by those teams in his early years, 3 things we can say for sure.

LeBron james carried an absolutely horrific 2007 Cleveland Cavaliers team to the nba finals

Kawhi Leonard (2019)
Giannis Antetokounmpo (2021)
As you can see, LeBron James is on the list and Michael Jordan isnt
Lebron james has won 17 playoff series, without an nba top 75 teammate. Michael Jordan won ZERO
In the year before Michael Jordan and LeBron James joined their team and the year after they left their team, their records were
83-84 bulls 27-55

2018-19 lakers were 20-14 when LeBron James got injured on Christmas day.
As you can see When LeBron James joins a team, the team improves more than Michael Jordan and when LeBron James leaves a team, the team always goes into the tank.
Michael Jordan, excluding the 94-97 seasons, when the NBA moved the three point line to 22 feet, was a career 28% three point shooter. LeBron James is a career 34% three point shooter
Michael Jordan was a great defensive player, in an Era where you could handcheck. Playing defense is much easier when you can handcheck. For nearly 6'9 250 LeBron James' entire career he wasn't afforded the opportunity to handcheck.

I have added a Postscript
So many have replied, that LeBron james didn't make the playoffs his first two years and Jordan did. What they fail to say is, in 1985, 16 of 23 teams made the playoffs. In 2004, 16 of 29 teams made the playoffs. It was MUCH EASIER Making the playoffs in 1985. In bowling Walter Ray Williams Jr. said Earl Anthony was better than him. Then you got modern stars like LeBron just saying "yeah I'm the greatest of all time."

I just don't understand what's wrong with these people. Even if ya wanna challenge MJ as the G.O.A.T LeBron ain't the one to do it with. It's ok, almost no one gets close to that level. I don't get why they can't just be happy that he does what he does.

@@skap_attack Just found some Incriminating stats regarding the Kobe vs Lebron "debate"
Lebron has NOT won back to back or any title WITHOUT a 20ppg scorer
Wade 23PPG in the 4 years playing with lebron
Kyrie 22.3PPG in the 4 years playing with lebron
Davis 24.6PPG
Lebrons 3rd option Kevin love and Chris bosh both averaged 17PPG in the years playing with lebron
with Pau alone
3 straight NBA Finals appearances and he averaged 18.7PPG
CONCLUSION
Lebrons 2nd options both had greater output than Kobes 2nd option
and lebrons 3rd option had just about equal output compared to Kobes 2nd option
and if you compare lebrons 8 year run to the finals he averaged 26.5PPG and Kobe as the 2nd option in the 3peat years averaged 25.4PPG
So with slower pace of play Hand checking rules still in place Kobe as a 2nd option had similar output/impact as lebrons prime years going to 8 straight finals LOL

Thanks for doing this! Hopefully all the Call of Duty experts will eventually grow up and see these videos. Not sure if Nick Wright will ever grow up. He is probably fully grown by now:)

LeBron's performance in the final three games of the 2016 Finals was one of the best performances ever. His level of effort and total dominance was astounding. That one series is how Michael Jordan played every game.
not true jordan wasnt on that level every game lmao
He might of had a great performance in the series, but to be the goat is to have the mental to push for that extra inch when the pressures on the most. Kyrie took the last clutch shot because Tyonn Lue looked at LeBron and knew he wasn't there mentally to take it (he said in an interview) whether from exhaustion or something else, he called the last play for Kyrie. You can't be called the Goat when you aren't even involved in the final play for the chip. And yes Jordan did pass the ball two times for the final shot (Pax, Kerr) those were option plays based on the defense not a iso play for Kyrie like in LeBron case. Bron fans just can't admit he's great but not goat material, and that's OK.
@@AadiLakha hes talking about the effort
people forget that a monster of mj played on guard position while he plays defense and offense, a nonstop effort. a forward like james is too fragile for the early 90s style. the pistons would break him thats for sure. 😅
I'm going to go have to go with my instincts on this one - MICHAEL JORDAN, by a long shot! He won so many more awards in a much shorter time than LeBron. MJ played 15 seasons and LeBron is going to play his 21st. Congrats on LeBron for playing so long, however, MJ is a hundred times better.
Jordan is etill better than lebron

Opaaaaaa Skap caught cooking yet again. LET THE MAN COOK

@skap_attack Aren't you really insulting MJ by equating him in any metric with a player who has no legitimate jumpshot or go-to move? Three-feet shooting James takes three or four steps, plus the Euro step, en route to unfettered dunks or layups. His only other option is the three-ball, which at 34% can't be called a signature shot. The morons who aggrandize Lebron are incapable of deductive reasoning, so you will never sway anyone mired in stupidity. Nonetheless, your efforts to inform are much appreciated.

People who think getting to the finals and losing is an achievement have probably only won participation trophies.
MJ played against a tougher Eastern Conference, LeBron played against tougher Finals opponents. Everyone already knows this stuff, they don't need your word vomit to make them any dumber.
Besides, I have some more numbers about LeBron and MJ's Eastern Conference competition, and their success against said competition:
Average net rating of ECR1 opponents
LBJ: +0.3
MJ: +2.6
Average net rating of ECSF opponents
LBJ: +4.0
MJ: +4.4
Average net rating of ECF opponents
LBJ: +4.4
MJ: +5.9
There's a gap there in MJ's favor, but the strength of competition between MJ's East and LeBron's East is probably closer than you would like to admit.
EC playoff record vs 50 win teams
LBJ: 10-2
MJ: 11-5
EC playoff record vs 60 win teams
LBJ: 2-2
MJ: 3-2
EC playoff record vs top 5 offenses
LBJ: 3-1
MJ: 7-2
EC playoff record vs top 5 defenses
LBJ: 10-4
MJ: 9-5
Again, probably closer than you'd like to admit. Again, MJ does have the advantage here, he did go up against a tougher Eastern conference, however their levels of success against their best opponents are very similar.
I loved that breakdown ❤ Jordan =GOAT!
Just made me a subscriber. Straight facts and on top of the facts you laid out. Lebron is no where near the defender Jordan was 9x first team defense and DPOY

Lebron battled more all stars but he also played with more all stars. So the argument that he face more harder competion heck his team is also stacked always.
I don't know how long you can milk this, but I still watch them. Thanks again.
How about noting how a young MJ frequently couldn't get past the first round, while LeBron often progressed to the second round or even the conference finals with 0 support in his early years? LeBron might be slightly overrated, but there's no need to spread hate. Consider Steph: he has amassed fewer career points than both Westbrook and Harden. But does that rank him beneath them? Similarly, MJ might lag behind LeBron in career points, rebounds, and assists, but he's still widely acknowledged as the goat.
How about the times LeBron didn't make the playoffs? 🤔
@@Narukami2D how about the times when Jordan didn’t even play?
@@Narukami2D In my opinion, LeBron is somewhat overrated. However, what truly frustrates me is the double standard. People often overlook the darker aspects of Kobe and MJ's careers.

4 more defensive first teams.
3 steals leaders (has 0)
2 more rings.
2 more finals MVPs.
1 more league MVP.
1 DPOTY. (Has 0)
1 scoring title and DPOTY at the same time. (Has 0)
3 more ppg average.

Lebron averages 37% outside of 3ft and it's even worse in the playoffs with 35% and in late game situations when they are down it falls again to about 32%
As a 40 year old Jordan average 42% from outside 3ft.
And while Jordan was swept by the 86 Celtics, he DID score 63 points against them. But yeah, LeChoke is definitely the GOAT.
You also have to consider different rules today's rules makes it easier to score with more spacing to operate which makes mjs competition even more impressive than lebrons especially when mj only had one allstar while lebron had 2
MJ won a championship with the flu and LeGOAT lost being carried off with cramps. Nuff said!
Don’t forget the phantom “broken hand” that wasn’t. Dude is throwing down dunks with that same hand an hour earlier, and shaking hands with it 30 minutes after that, then suddenly it’s “broken” as soon as it’s interview time…😂
Great video!! you should of included how much weaker the eastern conference was for lebron as well.
The video not even started and was already clicking liked
LeBron and the Cavs(version 1) progressed and then regressed and when that happened, instead of sticking it through and putting in the necessary work to get to the mountaintop, LeBron bails on his teammates on the floor in Game 6 against the Celtics, jumped ship, and bailed on Cleveland the following summer and manufactures the beginning of his 3 "superteams."
I knew he was done in Clevelan when he walked into the tunnel and pulled off his jersey.
Man Skap if I ever get my 2min of TV fame, I'm going to give a huge shout out and tell everyone to watch this channel to end the debate!!!
