The actress who played the Oracle died during filming, that’s why they recast
It’s the same thing with Dumbledore in Harry Potter
yup Rip sweet lady...She seemed like a cool person
@@funnyclown2514 i heard the second dumbledore took the role because his grandaughter was a fan of the books and demanded it
Aw damn didn't know that, well even tho they recasted her looking difference makes sense anyway since she's a program she can change her looks
:(
I always tear up when Neo and Trinity's ship goes above the clouds and she sees the REAL sun for the first time...So beautiful and sad.
Tbh the actor who played Bane did an INCREDIBLE job of mimicking Smith's speech patterns. Really great stuff.
That`s because Hugo Weaving and Ian Bliss(Yes, that`s his real name) went to the same film school in Sydney,Australia.
The stories about Keanu taking a cut from his own money to pay for a lot of the staff during these movies is actually true according to a lot of eyewitnesses during production. Overall awesome dude tbh!
I heard he also bought motorcycles for his stunt team
And also he given 80% percent of earnings from the trilogy (appx 90M usd) to the movie crew making them millionaires in one night.
why did he do that? the movies were successful and made hundreds of millions in box office
@@phoenix.974 Because the crew are paid a flat rate and not a percentage of the box office earnings.
Also, did you just ask "why is Keanu Reeves such a nice person?"
@@phoenix.974 Because he's literally such a good person, it doesn't compute with most of society.
If you're craving more Matrix material, there's a movie called The Animatrix, that's made up of 7 different short stories made by different creators taking place in The Matrix universe. It's pretty awesome.
The Second Renaissance is some haunting shit
That was a collaborative masterpiece
Almost an understatement. For my bucks, it's by far the most enjoyable part and I liked the entire trilogy. I'm not even talking World Record, which is just bonkers levels of cool, I'm talking all the little side stories and adventures, cool animation styles, some absolutely wicked dystopian nightmare stuff... should have just taken Second Renaissance and turned it into a TV show.
Animatrix is the absolute best thing to come out of this franchise, definitely a huge contender for best tie-in into a movie universe I've seen.
It's also where you see the Kid's backstory (how Neo saved him). And what happened to the surveillance team referenced in one of the opening scenes of Reloaded.
i want to see the reaction of this man of the machine war that was really brutal and the part of the soldier suffering is really f*ck that.
The irony of trinity is she's the only living person as of now to see the true sun and she died before she could even describe what she saw.
Not really the true sun thought.
@@Sednoob erm yes it was....they were in the real world when she saw it.....just no one had ever flown above the clouds before
@@gloriebluestein9721 That's not the real world, just another layer of the matrix. The architect told that at the end of the second movie. And it explain why Neo can somewhat control machines in 'reality'.
@@Sednoob No, he said that Zion was another layer of control, to funnel dissidents into. That does not prove it's another layer of the Matrix - although this intended fourth film, may change that.
@@Sednoob actually that is just a theory. The Architect does not say that specifically
Bane isn’t a traitor, agent smith copied himself onto him just before he got out of the matrix. It isn’t bane anymore, it’s smith in the real world.
YA! Bane is a fallen hero!
@@philipocallaghan yeah he stayed behind so his buddy could deliver the message to Neo.
Well ye, Primate realized that around 12:00
I know, was going to type the same thing. It's only THE critical twist from Reloaded.
do you think it is the real world and not another level of the matrix?
The Oracle’s original actress passed away before this movie was made just like Dumbledore they had to recast the character
The Actor who played Bane did an *amazing* Job imitating Hugo Weaving as Smith.
Also, the final fight between Smith and Neo is the closest we all got to live Action Dragonball Z, yet.
Overall, why I still think the first movie is the best of them all and might not have *needed* Sequels, in hindsight I am glad they made this into a Trilogy, as the Sequels have hold up very well.
Man of steel?
OMG YES! Even if I didn’t know what happened, you could clearly tell. He looked and sounded like Weaving’s equal for Smith.
12:30 this shot with the light flashing i almost see his face instead of the actor
I don't care what anyone says. This movie is CRIMINALLY underrated. Glad you enjoyed the trilogy! Can't wait for your reaction to the 4th movie :>
Agreed!
This movie sucks the first one is way better, it's the best
people that don't like the matrix sequels are just too dumb to understand them. period.
completely agree
@@alexsclewis or they understand them fine but just don't like them for some other reason
Mifune's speech to his troops never fails to give me goosebumps
The backstory for the kid obsessed with Neo is in the Animatrix. The episode called "Kid's Story".
he is missing a lot by not watching the animatrix, even after seeing all 3 movies i think he should watch it.
My favourite of the bunch
Chronologically I think that Animatrix should be watched in its entirety after the 1st movie.
"I fuck with the Oracle, man" for some reason your little one liners in quiet moments kills me
I personally love the theory of the origins of The Merovingian. The possibility that he was the first Neo that found a way to live inside the Matrix without his body.
The actor playing the Train Man is Bruce Spence. He also played The Mouth of Sauron in Return of the King (mainly the Extended Edition), and the Chairman of Utapau (who Obi-Wan meets before he faces General Grievous) in Revenge of the Sith.
And don't forget he was originally known as The Pilot character from Mad Maxes 2 and 3 many years prior. 😉😁🚁
He also played Zed in _Legend of the seeker._
Watched this movie again for the first time in like 15 years and man, the death of Trinity really hit this time. She really loved that man like...that's ALL she was about in life. Gave her life for him with zero regrets.
Uh, I don't think she planned on dying there. It was a freak accident.
@@MoMoMyPup10 Do you remember a major part involving her and the merovingian? Where it was established she was ready to die for Neo? That was forshadowing. She also knew Neo's trip was one way and even talked about how afraid she was to even lace up her boots, but she knew she had to go with him on what was always gonna be a suicide mission.
@@joshjones9749 That is just a script choice. The rebar that came through the windshield didn't have to kill her - it was just a freak accident. It wasn't like the end of Reloaded where she made the choice to go in to give her life to save him, and the plan. She was just the victim here of a nasty crash. But yes, she would give her life for him if needed, as Morpheus would've too. They all would to save Zion. They all fought for the cause.
@@MoMoMyPup10 I mean we're getting into technicalities at this point but come on...Trinity didn't expect to just fly back home out of the machine city with Neo when all was said and done. That was a suicide mission...that actually did kill them both
“Cookies need love like everything does.” Best line of the movie
Also very true
If there’s one thing I can agree with Agent Smith on, it’s that cookies are dope. Also, you gotta check out The Animatrix
The animatrix has its ups and downs, the origin story is really dumb. The rests are good.
I remember a theory that the reason why it was raining during Smith and Neo's battle is because Smith corrupted the matrix so much it was starting do degrade internally. The rain is really the code of the matrix raining down on all of them because it's coming apart
Apparently those that watch in IMax could see the code rather than the rain
"The eyes of the oracle", which the Merovingian so desperately wants, is actually an important plot point. "They say they cannot be taken, only be given". Smith "takes" them, when he copies himself into the Oracle. But Neo was "given" them, in part 2 when the Oracle told him "You have the sight now, you are looking at the world without time". Neo made blind by Bane also references this. Although he is blind in the real world, he sees beyond the physical. The "eyes of the Oracle" are not that she foresees the future (as Smith assumes) but that she understands choice and purpose. Neo realises this at the end, and lets Smith have his way. As soom as he is copied onto Neo, his purpose has served and his program is deleted.
And as for popular fan theory that Smith is the actual "One": he's not. He may be the "One" for the machine world, securing the Matrix will stay in existence after the war. Neo is the "One" for the human side, stopping the war and giving all humans the choice for the Matrix or the real world.
I believe Neo sacrificed himself by dying after Smith copied him. He let Smith beat him. When he died the program died with him. That was the idea all along - the only way to kill the program was to have Smith 'kill himself', in a sense.
Neo is an anagram of 'one'
The final fight between Neo vs Smith is the closest thing we have ever seen to a dbz fight adapted into a movie
Man of Steel had plenty of fights like these.
But that fight was ahead of its time. CGI and everything. It’s ashamed that a 2003 movie was able to do something like this yet they came out with that sad pathetic of a movie evolution lol. Wish the director that director the matrix would direct the DBZ movies.
What the hell is DBZ??
Actually, it always reminded me of the final battle between Cloud and Sephiroth in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children - the way they fly through the air, are thrown into buildings, et cetera.
Look it up on UA-cam, great fight scene and overall great movie!
@@sergiodabawse we dont need a dbz hollywood movie no matter who's the director. everyone will get whitewashed and the stories will be shit. keep anime away from hollywood.
You should do the Animatrix too, its pretty phenomenal too.
She may not have had many lines, but Sati is one of my favorite characters of the series. Literally a love child with no true "purpose" since she was born from love rather than necessity. Hence why she was going to be deleted. And yet she was able to create this beautiful sunrise at the end.
"Mr. Anderson, Welcome Back. Weeee Missed You."
It Ends Tonight
clinches fist
@@Mr.Homebody_18 of course it does I've seen it that's why the rest of me is going to enjoy the show because we already know that I'm the one that beats you
Us 80s kids always knew Keanu had something special. Now here he is with three successful trilogies under his belt. Matrix, Bill&Ted, John Wick.
Something I like about this movie is Neo and Smith being mirror images of each other. Neo is the One, a human who develops a better understanding of the programs/machines and becomes more emotionless to reflect that. Smith is the Many who was a program that despised humanity which he saw as an out of control virus which he would become within the Matrix and in doing so becoming an emotional being
Neo died. His mind was destroyed by Smith. As Morpheus said in the first one: "The body can't live without the mind."
That's the downside of being a messiah figure.
How do you know he died. They are making a forth movie
@@chrisastin184 the One is a constant in the matrix, his genetic code is recreated over and over, so it will be the One, just not Neo, I think, but who knows.
@@chrisastin184 The 'other' part about being a "messiah figure" is being resurrected.
@@chrisastin184 The movie "Neo" was already the 6th version of him. He obviously died.
@@QuayNemSorr Well we won't know that for sure until the new movie comes out. All we saw was him being lowered by the machines.
I was heartbroken when Trinity died... poor Neo. Love the trilogy. And yes, the actress is in the fourth film ;) cannot wait for it to come out honestly 😂😂😂
YES
So good!!! Obviously the first film is the best, as it is just an epic, revolutionary movie, and is perfect as a stand alone, but the hate some people had for the sequels always baffled me. Love them all!!!
One thing I think they do really well in these movies is making the agents intimidating as fuck especially when there's loads of them!
Neo, trinity and jada pinkett smith are cast in Matrix 4 but no other info yet. And the actress that played Oracle died while they were filming this and reloaded. So they recast her and put in a quick explanation
Do you plan on watching the Animatrix stuff? It's honestly pretty interesting, you'd probably like it, hopefully you could react to it 😇
Great reaction/observations/etc as always, my friend 👍👍
when they go above the clouds. that is the first time they had ever seen the sun
I believe the original Oracle died prior to filming the 3rd film, hence the re-cast
She did die, September 2001 of Diabetes
There was a Matrix Game that was pretty good called the Matrix: Path of Neo. I remember it being easy and didn't take long to beat. But it was entertaining to get to play as Neo.
That game was fucking phenomenal
Played it on the ps2
Also The Oracle's in-universe reason for a chance in appearance is explored in the game Enter The Matrix which is canon to the trilogy and includes an hour of original live action footage.
The actress who played the Oracle in the first movie passed away from cancer shortly before they started filming this one. To honor her they decided not just to recast her but to mention why the Oracle looks different.
I love the theory that the “real world” is another layer of the matrix which is why neo can control stuff outside the matrix
I mean, that theory is the only way Neo's "powers" in the 'real world' make any sense. Unless you just say it's 'magic'.
Certainly it's very, very credible, and has a lot of narrative sense to it.
We may have to see, though.
I don't think so. It's revealed that the machines are made of light. They are not just machines, they have souls. When they created the one, it was more than just a program, but a being that could have "access" to the light in the real world
You are so animated and geeked! Sowas I when this trilogy came out.I just had to get my own dvd copies ofeach movie. I loved them!
There's alot of backstory that explains alot of stuff in The Animatrix and Enter The Matrix Video Game. Try to watch/play those if you can because it really builds the world up and answers tons of stuff and develops alot of the side or minor characters.
2003.
When the world was feenin' for more of The Matrix.
Good times.
i have the ultimate matrix dvd collection that has like 10 discs on it and one of them has all that footage from the games. it explains how the frenchman deleted the oracle as revenge for stealing the keymaker, and the oracle willingly gave the parents of the last exile the code to delete her so they could trade it to the frenchman for saving their daughter, because she said sati was very important for the future of this world. a lot of important story to put in a crappy game that hardly anyone played.
You should watch the Animatrix next. Gives some extra story about how the matrix was started and a lot of other cool stuff. It ties in to the movies as well.
The most popular theory is that no one ever leaves the matrix. Zion is a failsafe to make the humans think they've escaped since they always attempted to leave the prime program. That's how Neo can kill sentinels in the "real world" and Smith can exist in Bane and how the machines became efficient in destroying it over and over.
He took a pay cut,, but got a higher percentage of total sales a win, win Situation
Here’s the crazy part, the “real” world could still be the matrix. The machine could be tricking the human to think they’re in the real world because how does neo uses his powers in the real world with no explanation
20:33 where Smith Earth-Slammed Neo..
I heard that was the same corner/area where Neo hangs up the phone and starts flying at the end of the first movie.
Gotta be honest... It was incredibly wonderful experiencing this trilogy through your eyes. It was almost like seeing it for the first time again. Thank you for sharing this with us.
To see the back story of how Neo freed Kid. As well as for a very entertaining and trippy time. You would have to watch the animatrix. I recommend it highly :)
Keanu and Carrie-Ann back in Matrix 4. They were filming at several locations downtown San Francisco last year February. The office building I worked at was across street from building they were doing some internal scenes. And a night scene was filmed with a helicopter going up and down street office building was at. There's several videos uploaded by different people of different stunts and sequences filmed downtown San Francisco. Yeah, when finally see Matrix 4 I'm gonna go "wait, Iv'e walked down that street. Wait, I've eaten lunch there."
hahaha I watched episode 2 with my brother (for the very first time), and we immediately jumped to the 3rd! Couldn't wait! Man, I love the matrix series.
The oracle doesn’t have “eyes” she’s a computer program in a simulation....
I have patiently waiting for the Matrix 4 and John Wick 4
The question becomes “is the real world, just another matrix”
Again,
Please react to
The two short movies
The matrix renaissance part 1 and 2
Their short , 4 to 5 minutes each , you will know more about the history of the matrix, directed by the wokawsky brothers so it's 100 % canon
See, I assumed Neo died at the end, they were carrying him away like a funeral
Pretty clear that Neo was stretched out like the Christ on the cross. So he definitely died, but will he be 'resurrected', and how?
They won't do 4th movie without Kiany.
Is his mind now part of the Source...?
He died.
It's been suggested that Shanti (the little girl program) might be the next One. She can clearly alter the matrix, something no one else can do other than Neo.
It's amazing how fast you forgot. The guy on the bench is not a traitor. He's been taken over by the program Smith.
I like how they show AI like child, baby face, scream "We don't need you! We need NOTHINK!", it's child of all humanity
Or that's how they perceive humans: Like infants. So that's the visage they chose to present them with.
The Wachowskis originally wanted too release Revolutions two weeks after reloaded.
Literally a true sequel movie.
WB wanted a 1 year gap, they compromised on a 6 month. Reloaded came out in the spring (May), Revolutions was in November.
A popular theory is that Neo and everyone never left the matrix but escaped to another matrix. That's why he had powers outside the world and I think was given a spoon in the "real" world. It's why he was able to save trinity as he affected her real body and see digital code. Morpheus says a weird line implying that if that was the end of it all.
The actor who played the Train Man is Bruce Spence, and he's been in a ton of amazing films... he was in half of the Mad Max movies so far, Star Wars Episode III, Return of the King, Finding Nemo...
Yeah revolutions was so amazing for me I just was in disbelief.
I cried so hard when Neo was fighting Smith
and it was just a shock this is just see him just allow himself to be taken.and allowing the machines to kind of delete Smith on The matrix was clever. that that entire time I cried when he died. And if you really think about it look back into the very first movie Neo technically created the solution of having peace between the machine and human. Through Smith
and I think you know they're going to do a fourth matrix is so exciting I want to see what they do
a little bit of a fun fact for the matrix movies originally for Jada pinkett Smith's character actually the singer Aaliyah was going to play that role but she died in that plane crash and I think the original actress that played the Oracle she passed away before the shooting of revolutions.
I was crushed when Aaliyah died. She was such a beautiful soul.
Jada killed this role though 🥰
@@Dinkdownn Jada did kill it
I think one of the best scenes when Trinity first time sees the sun with her own eyes in her life (and not in the matrix)... Carrie played it very good, rly like it.
The squiddies really give a whole nother meaning to the term wave assault.
here is my theory about the world of Matrix:
The Matrix is a program the the people outside of the Matrix uses to access the "other world", BUT here is the kicker that suprisngly few people get (Unless I am the stupid one here of course). So in Matrix Reloaded the architect mentions that they have destroyed Sion 5 times already and that this time will be the same, the 6th time. Wouldn't that mean that Sion "the REAL world" is also a program? That the world that is destroyed and run over by robots that harvest people is a program in itself.
The Animatrix (a collection of anime shorts) fills in a ton of the history and backstory. Worth a watch.
The Trainman is played by Bruce Spence, a New Zealand actor who also played Tion Medan in Revenge of the Sith, and the Gyro Captain in the Road Warrior.
Neo is presumed to be "dead" at the end, at least his body, of course he was *in* the matrix and we don't know what that actually means. The only thing I can really think of is the new movie is a different instance of the matrix, but I'm sure they'll surprise us. Part of the reason this movie has a bad rep is I don't think anybody knew what to expect at the end there..
The back story for the Kid with heart is one of the episodes on the Animatrix. Itlll be the skateboarder one
Fun thing to think about as smith (clone, predetermined) and neo (one, emergent) are counterbalances, when Smith was able to act on humans out of the matrix, neo was able to act on machines out of the matrix. When smith became the oracle, neo was also able to see without eyes etc.
the original actress that played the oracle in the first 2 films passed away before filming of revolutions began.
Matrix Movies are 🔥 af
The kid from the matrix one who bends the spoon,Is the young guy that you're saying that you don't know the backstory...He's Just grown-up somewhat.. The reason why you see him with a spoon in one scene just Grown-up... Love when he says "I believe and then shoots the chain
The actor that plays The Trainman in this is the same guy from Revenge of the Sith who tells Obi-Wan, "He is here! We are being held hostage. Tenth floor. Thousands of Battle Droids."
I still say "What in Ze Hell?!" to this day after this came out. But, dude, that whole Zion battle/Sentinels chasing the ship part of the movie, on an IMAX screen with full surround sound. HOLY SHIT! My jaw was on the floor and I lost the ability to blink during that whole part.
The Matrix would be so different now because of wi-fi 😂
With 5G they dont need a land line any more
@@matsv201 I dunno if you know this; 5G is deadly. It's literally radiation beaming out of our phones and antennas, shutting down our respiratory systems.
@@florentinovasquez3801 You do realise radiation always comes out of our phones, even bananas have radiation
@@igorplebankiewicz1114 Yup. And don't forget the sunlight. If people are concerned about 5G they should be way more worried about the sun. lol
@@igorplebankiewicz1114 realize**
Tho Zion is apparently outside of the Matrix it was built by the machines and not human built.
The Hammer is actually the nickname for the ship’s real name, Mjolnir. As the ship heads back to Zion, Morpheus, Naobi and the rest of the Hammer’s crew are fending off Sentinels from trying to destroy the ship.
It rushes into Zion doing exactly what Mjolnir does when Thor tosses it. Morpheus fires the EMP, effectively bringing the lightning and destroying the Sentinels.
No like you said the shots were so beautiful, good lord, this was twenty years ago. they knew what they were doing.
Sadly, the original Oracle actress died of labor complications in between films so they had to recast the character(Luckily, the twist in the previous film of her being a program allowed them to say she simply had a 'change of shell').
when you think about it, Neo wasnt the One. Smith was.
He was born in the matrix where as Neo was born in the machine city
Smith said in Reloaded how he knew he had to return to the source but refused to
and in this film he is connected to the source when he copies himself onto Neo and the Matrix and Zion is saved
Production of the last two films definitely had some problems. The character of Zee was originally played by Aliyah who died before her scenes were shot. The actress who played The Oracle died during filming of the third movie which required her scenes to be reshot and Carrie-Anne Moss he plays Trinity broke her leg while shooting in Australia.
Neo isn't actually The One, it's Agent Smith. There are really good fan theory videos about this and everything that Morpheus said describing The One fits Agent Smith exactly when you look at everything he's done over all three movies. Think about it, Smith was actually born and reborn in The matrix, changed. He's the one that can actually change anything he wants about the matrix world which is shown in the movie as him making copies of himself. He is the anomaly that takes over the code.
FYI there’s a theory with the matrix that fits perfectly, where neo isn’t the one, but Smith is
You MUST watch The Animatrix before the new movie comes out, explains alot in detail about the history and there's alot of material for a new movie, it doesn't even has to be related to the story of the 3 prior movies.
I don't think he understood that Agent Smith downloaded himself into Banes
Clearly not.
The Animatrix shows that back story.
Another explaination of Neo using his power in the real world is...he is still inside the matrix and there's never been real world. Just imagine a first chosen who waked up, falled down to the water and somehow he survived without a muscles, food, water, warm, he found the way to connect himself to the matrix to awake another people and build high technical city deep under ground....even it's fantastic movie, there's still some mess of logic. But there's more sense if "the real world" just another layer of matrix
If you want the backstory of the kid Neo saved, you can. The Animatrix is 7 short films made by different directors and they are all just different stories about the matrix and the world and all that. It's really good and widely unknown
Mobil Ave, the train station Neo is stuck in is an anagram for Limbo Avenue - he’s stuck in Limbo. A world between the matrix and the real world
17:01 Trinity is the first human to ever see the sun in over 200 years
The Original Actress who played the Orichal passed away before the third film was completed.
Keanu gave away a lot of his pay to the staff of this franchise. Look into it.
Hes just a badass
One thing I will never understand about the Subway Tunnel loop Neo was in. He's the "One" right? He could see the encryption code of The Matrix, so why could he not find a way out of the tunnel. The Trainman left from out of range and out of sight. Meaning Neo now can find a way without having to wait on Trinity & the others to basically pick him up. That one always bothered my years ago. Now, I speak of this today... has anyone else realized this? Maybe it's a consistency? Did they forget Neo can bend laws of The Matrix to a degree? Am I just overthinking it? Can someone please explain this to me.
So glad u like this, a lot of people don’t but it’s my fav one, especially the neo v Smith fight
The actress who played the original oracle died during production on the second movie so the recast was important. And the way they pretty much said she upgraded/her choice she made changed her was pretty good. I get people hate the 2 sequels but they are massively underrated. Especially the 3rd one, people saying it’s too complicated, it’s pretty much all action due to everything being built up I.e. the battle for Zion, smith vs neo final showdown. It’s actually good
The eyes of the Oracle refer to her ability to "see the future", her programming. I think so anyway, it only makes sense.
I’m glad that Link survived. He became of my favorite characters other the main trio and Niobe
Fun fact... this series was “filmed” before 9/11... so blowing up the building to see the Architect was Before. Yes it came out after BUT filming was before.
1) the "eyes of the oracle" is the piece of her code that gives her the ability to see possible future events (procognition).
2) the club is called "Hell", The Merovingian and Persephone where an analogy for Hades and the goddess Persephone in the nether world of the dead
3) Neo's "power" in the real world is a passive Wireless connection to the Source (both the Machine Mainframe and the central energy core for all Machines and Programs) He is projecting his thought
"self destruct" to all those Sentinals and Suicide Bomb Mechs, so they blow up. It's not telekenesis and it's not an E.M.P. blast, but he eventually got overwhelmed because there were so many of them....
4) the Dark Clouds generate their own Electro Magnetic Field which shuts down electronics, hence no machines or human ships could escape Earth. Humans forgot the tech used to create the Dark Storm clouds so no one knows how to "de activate" the clouds
5) a copy of Smith's code incorporated into Bane's neural pattern (his consciousness) and so it was no longer Bane, it was Smith-Bane. His energy (that which came from the source) could be "perceived" by Neo after he was blinded.
6) the huge machine that talked to Neo is the Deus Machina (God Machine), which Neo sees it's energy it resembles the sun. Trinity saw the real sun, then Neo sees another version of "the sun". (allusions to a Sun God)
7) Neo accessed the full power of The Source, allowing him to act as an Anti-Virus to Smith and eradicate all copies of the Smith code, but the people and programs formerly were preserved (Neo is like Shiva the preserver and destroyer of the World, Smith is like Rudra the Hindu God of total destruction the God of Storms)
8) Neo's body is dead, his mind has become one with The Source. The machines treat his body with careful respect and reverence, something they've NEVER done before.
9) the Matrix is now more vibrant and peaceful, being the Seventh version (Heaven-like), and any humans that want to leave the Matrix (subconsciously choose to "wake up" ) will be allowed to leave freely. How long the truce between Humans and Machine will last is unknown... Sati engineered the Sun and the beautiful sunrise, she is the first unique Program that has "no purpose" is free to act and choose her own path in exsistance, no other Program truly had that before...
Keanu Reeves and Carrie Anne Moss ARE going to be in "The Matrix 4" but it's unknown if they're playing "Neo" and "Trinity" or characters that are genetic "reincarnations"...
The story may take place 100 or 500 yrs after "Revolutions" (just speculation for now). But some major upheavel had to off happened years after the Peace Treaty started.
WHY MR. ANDERSON, WHY WHY DO YOU PERSIST?!
Revolutions isn’t as bad as I remember. But my two main problems with the movie remain the same:
1) The fan theory that it turns out “the real world” was just another layer of the Matrix and that Neo and the rest of Zion never left after waking up was real. It would have been a fantastic plot twist that better explained why Neo could control the Machines after meeting the Architect and would have changed our understanding of the first movie. The current explanation was kind of dull.
2) The battle of the Zion docks is a fantastic battle scene and Mifune is the most underrated badass in science fiction. It just is in the wrong movie IMO. We spend so much time out of the Mattix in Revolutions and during this sequence we’re mostly following characters that got 30 seconds of screentime in Reloaded. The whole sequence should have been moved to a different humans vs robots movie and there should have been a lot of backstory about these characters beforehand
When people originally saw this movie, some were hoping we would get a Superman movie that would have this kind of flight and action. We got it with Man of Steel, like you mentioned
