How nice to see two young couples enjoying those mountains. The wife and I did it in 1962, but she was a native of the Balsams (part of the Parkway), and I was an outlander. We did 60 years together. May you young couples enjoy life as much as we did. Have fun guys. Enjoy life and your trip, no matter how many years. There is some poetry in your souls, and it shows.
I so much enjoyed your authentic video. I plan on motorcycling the entire Blue Ridge Parkway soon and even adding Skyline Drive to the northern part. You captured so many scenic spots and hikes that I’ll incorporate into my adventure. All the best.,
Thanks for the trip. I am new to the Parkway and in the process of planning a 3 day in May 2021 and a 8 day trip in July 2021. I can't get enough of the beauty, peace and awesomeness of the Parkway
As a Blue Ridge fan myself, I was most impressed with this video. I've never seen one that starts at the beginning of the parkway and continues all the way to the end. I'm also incredibly impressed with all you kids, how clean cut and well mannered you are! At the risk of sounding old-fashioned, I was amazed that you could pull off the narration without a single swearword. That's extremely rare these days. I'll be watching out for more videos from you guys. By the way, I loved Luke's song. Great work!
This is a great place. In 2002, Sri Rajesh Unny who was working in Washington DC took me to this very scenic beautiful place and I recommend this to be seen and enjoyed by all visitors to DC. A great place to admire, relax, cherish and remember for ever.
Great video! Wish I was young enough to camp as I did when I was young! Will drive the parkway this year(2021) in December! You seem like a great bunch of kids! I’m 72 so I hope saying kids is ok!
Well done! We are from Fayetteville NC and heading up to Grandfather Mountain area this weekend and you guys have indeed inspired me to take time off from work soon and drive through the Blue Ridge Parkway.
We bought property 30 seconds away from the parkway not far from where you stopped for lunch in meadows of Dan, I was born in Christiansburg, but raised up north and have always had a huge love for the blue ridge mountains, am so proud to now own my own piece of the beautiful blue ridge.
Gonna spend some time on the Blue Ridge this October. Came across your video. Really glad I did. Got me a copy of your song now too. Keep on keepin on! Hope to hear more from y'all musically... Good stuff. Great to catch such talent in the early stages. Thanks for sharing this little part of your life with us.
You deserve to get some comments on this. I think your philosophical insights are as moving as your music. That is one of my favorite drives. And, believe it or not, as I watched this, (while camping at the beach in NC), I happened to be wearing the Shadowgrass tee shirt I bought from your mother! For real!
"Luke & Madison" thanks for the invite on this video. "No Destination / Driving The Entire Blue Ridge Parkway" is really well done & I had to go through this adventure story more than one time with all its variety. The original music & instrumental tracks flowed smoothly throughout the entire video. For me on this video I would mostly go for: hiking trails, sunsets, mountains, waterfalls, expansive views, campfires & pictures (if the weather was good). Also I thought the commentaries (explaining a spoken account of an event as it happens) were family oriented.
I love this video! I love you kids! For the record, I could be your gramma! Grampa and I are planning to do the Parkway from Cherokee to the northern end in June 2021, tent camping along the way. We are starting in Tampa and will make our first stop at Red Top Mtn. State Park north of Atlanta...then on to Cherokee and the Parkway. Your beautiful video is inspiring. Thank you!
Awesome video. Thank you for sharing. A few questions. Was there cell service? How was the coverage? Was it spotty service? What cameras were the picture taken on? Make and model and lens type please. Thanks
Thanks! Cell service is better than most national parks but still pretty spotty. All the shots were on a cannon sl2 with 10-18mm efs lens and an 18-55 kit lens for some longer stuff.
What a great video. This felt like a professional documentary and learning it was your music at the end just topped it off perfectly. I was on the parkway earlier today around Little Switzerland after a weekend with my wife and friend where we walked the mile high bridge. Im terrified of heights, lol. But what you said about living is true and it was an experience I’ll never forget. Don’t know if I’ll ever be brave enough to do the whole thing though. Keep doing what you do. This made me even more glad to have been able to experience a piece of it.
Just saw you guys Saturday night at the Blue Ridge Music Center with Sierra Ferrell! Had a blast happy the rain held off! Looking forward to new music from you two!
So its 3am my cat is soooo awake I started looking for videos of NC since my husband and I are planning to move there, found your video and everyrhing was so nice until the -following- situation, I literally choke up on air and fell dizzy.. still trying to recover...anyway we'll have to be very careful and pray it doesn't happen to us.. Nice video, good luck with everything!
It’s hard to estimate because we made a lot of short stops but Including the three hour drive to the northern entrance it was around 7 hours the first two days and almost 12 on the third day
Never pull over on the parkwAy for blinking lights you'd never be able too tell this good story besafe! The parkway and mountains are very tricky and criptic

Great scenery... wish you would film more of that than yourselves
Great vlog, like your music, the Blue Ridge Parkway is on my bucket list, once everything is back to some sort of normality
Well done! We are from Fayetteville NC and heading up to Grandfather Mountain area this weekend and you guys have indeed inspired me to take time off from work soon and drive through the Blue Ridge Parkway.
That’s one of our favorite areas and leaves should be awesome this weekend! Thanks!

The speech at 25:00 is my favorite

Awesome photography guys! It really looks like you're there! What did you shoot this on?
Thanks! It was all shot on a Cannon SL2
The guy in the hammock over the waterfalls was crazy!
Don Smyth we were pretty shocked!
Way 🆒
How many hours did you drive per day?

No Destination / 3 days..... I want to spend 3 weeks....I wish it was months though.
Definitely! Hope to do it again one day and really take our time
Is it just me or does this guy look like Brian laundry with hair
I am new friend here done to you.
Peak of otter probably an ancient undiscovered pyramid.
Haha, it definitely looks like it!
Why can you show so much of yourselves and so little scenery.
I know what people look like may I see the scenery please.
