just got mine yesterday MacBook Pro m3 pro 18gb ram 1 tb ssd 12c 18g version. I spent 45 minutes in store just standing there confused about the colours. It was really hard for me to make a choice between Space black and silver. Finally went with the silver one coz space black has some fingerprints issue which I noticed in store. Love the new Mac and silver colour.
Silver is a great choice too! Same specs as mine 💪🏼

I picked one up on Wednesday. Space Black, 14 Macbook Pro M3 Pro. 18gb, 512 ssd and am very pleased so far. Worth noting that this is my first macbook (and foray into macos). I still have a desktop I built for gaming but also have the M1 Ipad Pro, Ultra 2 watch and Iphone so figured why not take full advantage of the ecosystem. Happy so far.
Welcome to the Mac! Having the whole ecosystem really makes a difference, and you've joined at a time when Macs are pretty awesome.

Just ordered the same MacBook too after a long struggle of deciding wether to go for the 14” or 16” waiting till between the 16-20th of this month to receive it in the UK, can’t wait! My first MacBook too.
I traded in my 2017 15" Macbook Pro in-store as I bought my m3 pro 14". It's the only way to do trade-in+giftcard+payment plan. A few of the staff weren't sure how to do it all though and kept having to discuss how to get it all to work. Loving my new laptop, it was a good time to upgrade for sure.

Just bought mine yesterday and it's nice. Love the new color space black. I first bought the silver base model and had ordered it and then once I went to the store and seen the space black and more power and with the education discount couldn't resist. Love it. Thanks for the great video.

I have the Mabcook Pro M2 pro 16'' I think it is a great machine I also do have 1tb or storage as well, I have space grey I like the space black more however its not a deal breaker to spend more money.
Yeah and it’s tough with the M2 and M3 being launched in the same year. Maybe if you wait til M4 you’ll get FaceID!

I did order the same but chose the 11 core CPU and 14 core GPU, and 36gb RAM. Do you think I need to cancel and update to 12/18? My mane usage is online teaching and using multiple tabs and a virtual camera. I currently have the 16 inch 2019 with 32gb memory, but the it slows downs when I’m using the virtual camera with all the tabs. (Virtual camera is Manycam). Thank you again.
Thanks! And no I think you made the right decision going more RAM. For your work and the tabs, that’s more important and you wouldn’t see a noticeable difference with a couple more cores
Bro, I upgraded to the 16 inch MacBook Pro M3 Pro. I did not feel the max was worth it, and honestly I am loving this M3 Pro!

Wow, that is a beautiful machine. It looks really good. I wonder if they ever gonna have a midnight blue that would be cool I’m a big fan of dark blue and navy blue. One thing from a far as it kinda looks like a PC that’s the one thing I don’t like it just a quick glance from afar, but it’s gorgeous looking and I think I say I don’t like that just because these machines are truly works so art are so much better built-than PCs

What did you use for filming, and how did you connect your microphone. I often find myself needing a third hand if I do tutorials and vlogs.
Actually filmed most of it on an iPhone 14, sometimes used the Osmo mobile gimbal, and the Rode Wireless GO ii actually records locally on device even if there is no transmitter present. So I connected to my Mac via USB-C, imported the audio files right off the mic, and synced them with a multicam clip in Final Cut!

Can you do shortcut which can run youtube on your iphone to be airplayed to apple tv
Try the "Change Playback Destination" action in a Shortcut, that should let you AirPlay whatever media is currently running!
Do you have wireless CarPlay? I’ve been thinking about a mount like the one at 0:37 but I’m not sure if it’s just duplicative to have it mounted and not really in use, and mine needs to be wired.

I reviewed the WaterField AirPods Max case and really like. I just found none of them put the Max to sleep like they should, so I end up keeping them in the default case anyway.
I went with silver, can't beat the contrast, just something about it.

My last MacBook lasted me 10 years although the last year was very painful it was a 2012 model but then I upgraded to the M1. It was like a night and day unbelievable so I’ve got a M1 pro I believe 64 gigs of ram 2 TB SSD if I had to do over again, I would not have bought so much computer, but my thought of the time was is to try and make another 10 year run, I think what I’ll do going forward once I wear this one out and maybe I’ll get 10 years I don’t know is I’ll look more to a five-year upgrade cycle but I’m wondering maybe you said it I’m only halfway through video why did you upgrade out of your M1 just to an M3? It seems like your M1 is super capable machine. Do you have something specific you’re going to do with the M3? I would love to hear about that. Thank you.
It was a totally unnecessary upgrade 😅 and I don't really spec my laptops up because a Mac Studio is my main editing and production machine. That I may upgrade to the M3 Max if there's significant improvements, but more likely I'll wait for M4 or M5 for a reasonable upgrade cycle.

Hi ! What happens if you trade in your old mac but then return the new one? Do you get the old mac back or the full value of the new computer?
Huh, that’s a great question. I imagine you would get the full price of the refund and whatever credit went to your card will be an even further credit. It’s possible they give you an Apple gift card too
I asked this question at the Apple Store today, and they said you cannot get your computer back if you change your mind after trading it in.
I’m still trying to decide between the base MacBook Pro M3 Pro and a refurbished M2 Pro for $1600… mostly for photo/video editing.
If you can spring for the M3 I’d recommend
@@beardfm I’m leaning that way since it will have a higher resell value. I feel like Apple could have added a little more with the new pro chip but is try to get people to go for the Max. I tried to go without a computer for the last 3 years but iPad Pros are still limited….
hey how do you find the battery life on this so far? I have a similar one ordered but with more RAM and I am curious to know what the battery life is like.
I’ve only used for a couple hours so can’t say for sure, but seemed on par with my M1 Pro

For me, the differences, the application, Vivid, it makes the display 50% brighter so I'm getting the 16 inch MacBook Pro

I have always been using windows laptops and keep on saying need to get a MacBook but still don’t know which one the MacBook Pro 14 inch m3 36gb ram 1tb ssd with 12 core cpu and 18 core gpu or the Apple 14 inch m3 max 512gb ssd for normal doings like watching UA-cam, surfing the net watching movies and office work
For that use case, get the M3 with more ram

Traded in my 2021 MBP 10 core 14 GPU for $1055 and stuck with upgraded M3 MBP 14 in 1 tb or a M3 Max. Help?
What’s your workflow like? Unless you’re doing 3D animation or super heavy GPU tasks, I’d go upgraded M3
Using for school apps and wanna future proof for sure and I’m going into digital marketing. So prolly photo related stuff. I have the Apple Card and that trade in cuts the new 14 MBP (upgraded pro w: education discount) in half. So I’ll pay $110 a month.
I need a side gig - I need disposable income that I can go mall shopping. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through you.

Congratulations on your sweet new laptop. I listened to the podcast this morning. Have you told William yet you did go ahead with the purchase? I bought a M1 Max MacBook Pro and used it as a desktop. That was before Apple announced the Mac Studio. The M1 Max MacBook Pro was loaded. It will be hard to get my money out of it so I will just keep it and use it as an in-house mobile device. I did buy a M2 Ultra Mac Studio. I'm looking forward to the M3 Ultra and waiting to see how insane it is. I hope Apple offers the Mac Studio in space black.

is the m3 pro enough for creating short3d animated films
You may need to upgrade the RAM but it should be plenty powerful. Depending on how intricate your animations are, there may be rendering / waiting time, but that may still be the case with M3 Max also
