First: accelerate the trakpad (and mouse) to the maximum speed (pro level) and if it's too fast move it a little slower Settings->Trackpad->Tracking Speed
A lot of good information thanks Greg. One thing Greg said (he must not work in an office setting) because he talked about extending the lock time for someone that is in security you do not want to do this. You should always lock your computer when you leave and having a shorter time is good in case you forget to lock it.
Thanks for this! I just picked up my first Mac and this was so helpful...must say...this thing is INCREDIBLE. I am IN LOVE. I got the M3 Max 16 inch, which is WAY more PC than I need, but I will keep it for years and years and it will take forever to outgrow. I now understand the Apple obsession. No more making fun of you guys!!
About the app dock - I like to hide it for even more screen real estate, it comes up when you drag the mouse to screen edge or press shortcut. Also TopNotch, for those who want to mentally get rid of the notch
Don't use a wallpaper, and certainly not the animated one: it's taking up memory and cpu cycles, and if you're remoting into the machine, or screen sharing, then all that movement will definitely kill the remote desktop experience or screen sharing session. I always use a simple constant color.

@@Stephen_Lafferty thanks for reply, I’m getting the base model 12 core MacBook Pro with the pro chip and 36gb ram. I’ll be doing mainly logic stuff so wanted the extra memory. It’s a shame cos I can get a good deal on the 18gb one but figured 36 would be better for me.
het Greg just found your video, i was wondering how you can customise your folders when using stacks to group certain folders together instead of it being lumped together. Also being able to now finally customise your folders is a game changer, I've been wanting to do this for a very long time 😃
True tone is one of those features I cannot live without; I don't understand why anyone would turn it off unless they're doing super colour accurate work.
I want to have an iphone 15 pro cause I want to experience the next level gaming performance it has as well as the newly improved camera and of course the new shortcut button everybody is raving about! I’ve been using an Iphone XR all this time, I think it’s about time to upgrade for a change. 😅 #GREGSGADGETSGIVEAWAY
For hot corners I recomend:
Top-Left: Start Screen Saver (or Lock Screen)
Bottom-Left: Launchpad
Top-Right: Mission Control
Bottom-Right: Disable Screen Saver (or Quick Note)
First: accelerate the trakpad (and mouse) to the maximum speed (pro level) and if it's too fast move it a little slower
Settings->Trackpad->Tracking Speed
That's the first thing I do. The default speed is so slow

You have broken the illusion for me that you’re extremely organized. Thanks for this helpful information.
SCAM!!!

Welcome to the Dark side. 😎
Before browsing you have to turn on the firewall. It’s off by default. This should be on your top 5 suggestions. 🥴

Agreed!!
Even better. Don’t use the computer whatsoever.
Problem solved.

@@SwissPGORFC is a great protocol to use. I tend to remote in using the ID 10T protocol however. Easy for most users.

Thank you so very much. My very first MacBook so I really needed this. Most helpful 👌🏾

You don’t need an app to hide desktop icons. The same feature is built in!
The sad part about the hills with flowers wallpaper is that all the yellow is invasive mustard 😓

Hold on a second Greg, so you really use trackpad at its slowest speed 😮
Thanks for sharing. Blessings on your day!

Can you use the widgets on the new air as well?
Great review. Thanks!
What laptop can you recommend to a college student ?
m2 macbook air base (or extra storage if u can afford) or m1 air with upgraded storage
Thanks, I don't see the more space option available. 14.2.1.
True Tone helps me sleep so ima keep it on
For me, the differences, the application, Vivid, it makes the display 50% brighter so I'm getting the 16 inch MacBook Pro

Do you Mac guys have any 3rd tools to suggest for me? Thanks!
Interesting. New macbook but it seems like it drops fps in animations quite noticeably
Good job. Thanks!
The first and most important part you shoulda done first is install the update ...
Rectangle works exactly the same as magnet and its free so ...
First things to do: Change wallpaper!

I'm looking to add the sound preferences button to the top bar but I don't see the option in the M3.
