I like the 60s Wonder Woman Look with her hair down wearing go go boots I brought so so many comics I have them all put up
As someone that was born in 1963, This brought back memories for me. Thanks.😊
I remember that Issue on Superman where he races The Flash
I'm freaking out at that Major Matt Mason set. I loved those toys as a kid!
Johnny West and his horse was one of my fave toys as a Kid
Those were toys from my childhood in the 60's and I remembered most and had many of them. Nice video.
I had Major Matt Mason as a kid(I'm 62)and remember fondly playing with him. The only setback was that they had wires inside of them so you could pose the arms and they would break.
Yes! I noticed one of the arms was not posable and that would explain why.
Had those too, the cool blue plastic space station. The crawler, the astronauts and the green alien.
I've been looking for a nice MMM for years, they were my favorite toy when I was a kid.
That Space 1999 brings back memories. Great show for its time!
My dad used to get SO aggravated playing the game aggravation, lol.... RIP dad , and rip the 70s.... I recognize almost every toy and game there, wow that stash is crazy, and all boxed and complete too
THAT SPACE 1999 SHIP HAS GREAT VALUE. AND BOXED GAMES ALSO HAVE A GREAT VALUE . KEEP THE MATCH BOX TOGETHER.
All the best toys in amazing shape!
All my life I have wanted to do what you just did! Thank you for taking us with you on this treasure hunt. I enjoyed every second of it.
Happy to hear! As I was going through the stuff I kept thinking how fun it was going to be to share with everyone. In retrospect I wish I took more footage!
The HotWheels. Just WOW!!!
That was awesome. Takes me back to my childhood. Loved the die cast cars and Space 1999 Eagle.
You have a lot of great videos. This was the most enjoyable for me. Thx!
I was mildly disappointed when I saw you pulling up yet another Batman book, but then I got super excited when I saw The Eraser.
The best part is that he uses his eraser to get rid of evidence in crime scenes. That's it. And his only weapons are his absurdly long pointy shoes that look impossible to get around in
I had that Major Matt Mason Crawler when I was a kid. That was my favorite toy. What a memory!
Your Lois Lane reaction was perfect… it’s strangely interesting to find out what the hell is going on.
My introduction to American Comic books was an issue of Lois Lane, #51 from 1964, my Mother bought it for me to keep me quiet while she spoke to the lady in the newsagents! She didn't know what she started, 59 years later I'm still buying, reading and collecting them! In the early years of the Lois Lane run, it used to outsell virtually every other DC and Marvel book, so no dissing Lois, if you please, lol! By the way, you've probably already been told this but on the cover of Superman #195, that's the Bottle City of Kandor that Brainiac shrunk, first appearing in Action Comics #242!
Wow!!' So cool. Very nostalic! Congrats
Loved this.Thank you.👍
Great stuff!! But I have been in many an attic and that one was too clean. Nobody's attic is that neat!! 😂
Very cool stepping back in time 50+ years
When you said "60's space toys" I immediately thought: "Oh man, Major Matt Mason" and sure enough! Wish you had pulled out some of those toys, were there any MMM figures in there? Those toys were amazingly pristine the boxes looked like they just came off the shelf it was like some dream!
Are these toys going to be offered on a site anywhere? If so can you post?
@@50scap3 MMM and some aliens were in the box. I haven’t decided how I’m going to sell these yet but you can always hit me up on IG or lunchmoneycomics@gmail.com if you are interested
My first time watching one of your videos. I collect comics, and I think It's a collector's dream to go in an attic and find some awesome comic books. Great video, subscribed. Keep up the good work.
The Eagle Transporter is wow. I don't think you know what you have there!
What a great adventure bro!!! Amazing collection of toys and what great shape!!! Comics are still cool too. Thank you for taking us on the journey bro!!!
Check under the first layer of matchbox cars. Most carrying cases had 2 layers...
You are a dude after my own heart. I am having flashbacks to my bedroom wall with the shattered X-men poster. Forgot about it and if I still have it but remember it.
NICE FIND DUDE!
Amaze a matics so cool... my dad had one at his office in the 70's.
Always on the search. Awesome
So freaking cool!
Holy crap!!! That boxed Eagle 1 is amazing and worth a crap ton of bucks. I have a half complete one and is one of my favorites. Matt Mason stuff is killer too!!!!
Yeah and the Matt Mason boxes were full of expansions and adds on. Crazy stuff.
Love any early flash covers. So nostalgic. Dont worry about superman being tied. Bondage covers are on🔥😉
So damn cool!!!!!
great haul and your uncle's stories behind each book would be fascinating !
It must have been great spending time with your family on a treasure hunt. That hot wheels green crane truck with the orange, jib, there is a hook on the end of that. I had several of those. The first time I got one 😮was the mid 60's. If you don't look after your stuff. Some poor relative is going to have to sort them out. They may get fed up & sell them super cheap as one job lot.
What a great video. Those Space 1999 toys are awesome.
I collect comics and toys so this was double fun for me to watch
Thanks so much for bringing the toys along, too.
Though all books were stored wrong, dirty and in rough shape I hope you enjoy them.
Space 1990 eagle awesome
I would kill for some of these!
Major Matt Mason THE ORIGINAL BUZZ LIGHTYEAR
Incredible finds!! How cool!
15:00 - I'm sure you've probably already researched it, but in case not, O'malley And The Alley Cats is from the animated Disney movie The Aristocats from 1970.
Ah thanks! I saw that as a kid but didn’t make the connection.
What an absolutely wild collection of items, like a true time capsule of a time before many of our generations. This was so cool, and surreal to see. Thanks to you and your family for preserving and sharing this.
Also, those very old Supes and co stories are absolutely batshit insane lol. Definitely read them for their sheer lunacy 😂
Lois whipping a dummy superman, Infront of tied up superman was the weirdest/kinkiest thing I ever saw.
@@sebastiengendron6427 lol I kinda want to read it to see what’s going on… but I’m kind of terrified too
Have you ever seen the documentary about the poeple that created and did wonder woman ? They were some super freaks
@@technodestructo In haven’t, do you know what it’s called?
It was a comic documentary on Netflix last year don't remember the name ill try to look it up
That Space 1999 Eagle
Best find ever
Cool ❗ stuff👍💯
Wow sorry about her and your family's loss
That world’s finest I went on eBay and grabbed a copy of right away for under $20 ..insane price that is definitely a wall hanger
Actually have that world's finest book signed by shooter
You might get a bundle deal with some stores like Dallas Vintage Toys. Price would be lower, but I believe they´d grab it all
What a great dig and you had it all to yourself. Family will appreciate your help with all that. Nice when you can make a profit on something you bought along time ago. Fingers crossed. ManThing looked like it was in pretty decent shape. Great fun!
Those sweet 16 Red Line tires are really expensive and collectible congratulations brother! And the little badges are worth about 20 to 50 bucks a piece at least.
loved this video! Awesome that you're helping out your family.
Oh man. Definitely a treasure hunt as I haven't seen that many redline hot wheels together at once. Usually they are pretty beat up. This was so much fun. Thank you kindly for sharing. 😎❤️
Man! What a great vid, LMC. So much fun to watch. 😁
God afternoon Michael
Brilliant show, thanks for the dust and the dirt. My twin loves old comics old toys, never undervalue Gold Key Comics, they sell and sell, nearly all Gold Keys began with a TV show, and oh so hard to find in a good condition, We had the same TV shows here in Australia, hence my love of Gold Keys, I am sure you had great success in finding willing owners for the toys! This is really saving history.Keep up the good work.
Sorry to say I am a bit behind on your shows but I save them up to slobber over. And appreciate seeing snatches of your great State.
Cheers
The Gold Key Four Color Kid from Downunda.
What a fantastic channel! So happy to have found this kind of content. It would be interesting to hear an update on what you were able to sell and their values.
Such a great video buddy, I need cooler relatives 😂. World's finest 177 is absolutely awesome, still baffles me that it's not expensive too. Superman 199 is one of my favourite books, i had it graded recently and it's on my "keeper wall"
What a great hunt into your families attic. There were tons of great toys and some neat comic books
As a kid in the late 60s/early 70s, the toys brought back a lot of memories. Thanks.
Awesome Stuff! I had a lot of the toys including the Matt Mason set. Love the Jerry Lewis and Bob Hope comics!
Green Lantern is the man! Superman was my first at 4 5 years old and then a couple years later came Green Lantern. Those are my two main DC guys. Love the books man love the books.
Was there a follow up video on this? I'd love to see how well things sold for. Great video. Love this channel.
I told it in bits and pieces. I sold the cars for quite a bit like 1.5k, most of the good toys for about the same amount, and everything else at flea markets and such which you can find videos on. So all told around $3k I think for all the toys
thanks for sharing - good luck with your finds
I am a new subscriber to your channel and have been binge watching this evening. Love this one. This is what most of us dream about and you were able to experience it firsthand. Granted most of the comics were in well loved condition as a friend of mine likes to say, but so what. Lots of fun and great comics to add to anyone's collection.
I really enjoy looking at all the old items brings back a lot of memories as a child especially like the 1999 ship I had one of those when I was a kid and I love comic books thanks for sharing all the old items that you have found
Just happened onto this video. The space you'd mostly from 1960s, were really popular during the space race, etc. I recognized nearly all the comics with a couple exceptions. Hold Key did a lot stuff that's actually pretty interesting if people take a look. Magnus Robot Fighter was a favorite. S nber of these are from 70s. I believe everything with 15 cent cover price on up is from about 1971 forward. Regular size comics remained 25 cents for several years. The SPACE:1999 Eagle probably 1975-1977. Shame the comics were in mostly in rough shape. Guess it's clear I'm kinda old since I actually read a number when they were new!🙂
Dude you hit the motherlode, you def will get a pretty penny for that space 1999 eagle as well as the Major Matt Mason set, those are worth good money,
Two words or removing stickers from surfaces. Peanut butter! The oils in the peanut butter will neutralize the glue in the stickers. Words of caution. A little peanut butter is good for this, More is not necessarily better. Also rub the peanut butter on the sticker gently, very gently.
I had that same Eagle-1 back in 1976 for Christmas and tossed it in the trash around 1981. Last year I discovered its now worth about $1500. 😂
That’s awesome! I had a similar situation happen to me this Summer in our attic. Golden Age
OMG I remember that Billionaire game back in the day. Great games in amazing shape. Your Aunt should do very well selling them
Really fun video! I love a proper treasure hunt!
Love your comics enthusiasm. Great video with the split screen and all. Keep them coming. Take care. Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy thanksgiving to you too!
Awesome Video, Toys and comics are collectables and I like to collect alot Toys and comics. Thanks for the Video!
Such a fun video. Not many boxes from my toys escaped survived. I recognize a few of the hot wheels that I had in the late 60s.
People frequently ramble about how everything has been picked and/or discovered. There's no basements or attics left with gems to find. But, I've always argued that as long as people are aging stuff will be found.
Last year there was a baseball card collection found in NJ that will probably be the best one ever. "Uncle Jimmy" is what I think it was titled.
The promise collection for comics from early this year is one for comics
So cool!! Congratulations!
Love that Space 1999, I made that ship from Lego as a kid, very nice
What a great collection! I hope you will show the rest in a later video. I liked all the comics too, even if the condition is pretty bad.
Echoes of Chuck Rozanski finding the Edgar Church collection here Mike, the world's first recognised pedigree comics collection; unfortunately your comics aren't in the same high grade but they were clearly well read and enjoyed, which is just as important. I don't know much about old toys either but I do know that my pick among the ones you found is definitely the Eagle from Space: 1999, one of my favourite SF tv shows ever. DC's Secret Six is an interesting title, especially for the 1960s, despite only lasting for seven issues; the identity of Mockingbird, who secretly controls the Six, is not revealed until 1988 in Action Comics, two decades after Secret Six was cancelled! The title has been revived a couple of times since. A few of your DCs have beautiful Neal Adams covers I see. You're right, there were definitely some whacky stories in those Silver Age DC comics with Batman and Superman - I couldn't count the number of times each impersonated the other to get out of a sticky situation, for example, often to put Lois off the scent. Your two biggest books are really significant comics; I have always liked the appearance of Annihilus, there's something implacable and unstoppable about him, with his armour and bat-like wings. Thanks Mike for letting us take this ride with you and your family. For me, the dustier the location, the greater the chance of finding treasures.
Thanks for the great comment!
Price tags easy to get off
1. Hair dryer low heat at an angle
Warm it up so the glue melts then
2. Take a pair of tweezers and slowly peel the tag off using the dryer to continue to blow low heat under the tag and pull it off.
3. To clean the residual off take a cheese cloth or something clean and smooth put a dab of clear shoe cleaner(wb40 works too believe it or not) and gently clean off the rest of any glue left. Works in plastic toy packages too.
Great info, thanks!
Wow...bringing back some great memories. The first item you had in your hand was the Caesar Roman Galley, I believe it was made my either Remco or Marx. It even still had the roman catapults...awesome find. If my memory serves me correctly it came with roman troops in various poses.
Yes! It was missing the soldiers, at least we didn’t find them, but everything else was there
The Marx cowboys and horses, the Major Matt Mason playset and the Space 1999 Eagle One are the highlights, that currently demand extremely high prices.
Comics used to be sold to stores on a returnable basis, so what didn't sell they could send back. To save money on piles of comics being returned, they were allowed to just send proof of the comics (ripped off top cover) with the notion the comics would be destroyed. Some retailers may have destroyed them, but many didn't, and sold them super cheap to kids who back then weren't too bothered that a piece was missing. Those comics may be examples of that.
I was going to point this out also. Retailers did the same with magazines. Paperback books could just have entire cover sent back
They also sometimes removed the whole cover, depends on their requirements.
New subscriber here. Being a toy, game and comic guy this is my favorite video of 2022! You should do very well on the sale of the Hot Wheels and pretty good on the Matchbox. I loved seeing the attic filled with old toys and games! Comics, well, as you showed , just don’t hold up very good in kids hand’s sometimes.
That was a cool adventure for sure.
There's also an eraser villain, The Living Eraser, in Marvel comics Tales to Astonish 49 where he is erasing the legs of Giant Man. I think he is also the only Marvel comic book character to ever acknowledge that he is a comic book character. Great cover too!
love all rhe cars !!!
Fond memories! When visiting Gramma as a kid, there was a big box of Matchbox cars in her walk-in cellar. Older brother, older cousin, we'd pull 'em out, play w 'em in the red foothills dirt, and always put them back when we left.
Back home, I made my own Hotwheels from a cork from my grampas booze bootle. Stuck tacks in it w big tacks in the rear for mags, smaller tacks in front. Drew✍️🏼on a racing number. Then in class, I used a pink eraser for the homemade hotrod.
I've always been a Marvel dude. To me, back then, mid70's, DC was for the older generation from the 50's. (DC was referred to as 'our distinguished competitor' by Marvel, always respected)
It’s really cool that you’re in my home state MA. Condolences on your uncle. 🙏🏾
BTW the Superman comic with Sups and the Flash, Superman was called away for a major disaster, and someone set up a bulletproof glass Flash didn't see and ran into. As for who won, well you will have to read it. I had bought a comic like that in my early years. A lot of the DC comics you showed, I either had or read at the grocery store waiting for my mom. Thanks for bring back good memories. 😀 😊 😉
I have the Batman eraser comic mine is in decent shape cover is intact I think I bought it on Marketplace.
😮😮😮 its probably wise to keep them for a while (google its price and pay your aunt) 😊😊😊...soon you will have your own fair/garage sale or join in a toy convention, a silent collector may lurk behind the scene and all of these remarkable treasures will be worth 5 digits or more and its worth the wait!!!
These were some cool comics you found recently I got to look through my friends dads comic collection and a green lantern 7 and a 16 were in there i did a trade for the 7 and the 16 had a full spine split and he gave me that because i like green lantern but keep doing what your doing.
The Johnny West figures were huge in the 70's my brothers and I all had them, including the horses and the Indians that were part of the series
Great video - I think the guys on weed in the 60's got to write the Lois stories they are crazy
Nice well-kept toys. I had the Hot Wheels red Firebird convertible, the blue wagon and the blue boat shown. Space 1999 was a TV show that I remember. The western figures are from Best of the West I believe. I had a Jerry Lewis comic. Great stuff.
