- This is my first attempt at playing to a drumless track. I still have some work to do with the mixing but it's not bad for my first one. Sounds like a tambourine in the chorus which I didn't play, everything else is me. I was a bit off on the ending but I think it came out good enough.
Drums: Bill Berry
Thank you for making this video. I have been learning this song, and the drum parts turn out to be more challenging then I had originally anticipated. It really does help sometimes to watch somebody else's drumming interpretation of a song.
Thanks! I'm glad to hear you are finding it useful. I watch a bunch of other drummers, too, when I'm learning a song or I'm stuck on a particular fill.
Nailed it!!!
Thanks!
Learning this now. Very helpful video thank you👍
Thanks!
Simply perfect! Congrats
Great job.
Thanks!
I love It so much!
Thanks!
Really nice job! That's how you do it. I'd like to see photos of your kit and miking arrangement too, but I guess that's not likely since this took place over two years ago! :)
Check out some of my most recent drum covers that were shot with a GoPro camera. It gives a much better view of my kit, which really hasn't changed since this video. Thanks for watching!
Outstanding job

Hope you won't mind if I practice this song on my drum kit while your awesome cover is playing. by the way, I am not a pro. Just starting out to play the drums on my 1st. drum kit. Modesty aside it's a 5 pc. Pearl Vision Artisan 2 New York Splatter. Thanks & God bless you kind Sir!

Neeeeeeeaat!
Do you play professionally?
Nope. Just a basement dweller doing covers to post on UA-cam.
nice where did you get ur drumless tracks
Thanks! This one I found on the internet. The others I've done I made from using my Rockband game.
hi
hi your start is different to the original.. and your right is a bit messy at the end.. your hi hat eazes are not pronounced enough and your rock ride is not bell ringing /ticking enough its like your not hitting it close to the middle or hard enough/// having said that.. yours is the best mix.. its sounds good and like you said its your first drunless track// i listen to it many times.. and still thought you did a very good job// keep un the good work.. thanks for doing the video ,, Take care

Good job. I'd suggest turning down song and turn your drums up..cause we want to hear YOU play. Plus, can' barely hear the bass drum at all.
This was my first drumless video so I had much to learn about mixing. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
@@twocanchu no thank you! I'm setting up my own "studio" to do my own; learning on the way as well, so thanks and nice work.
Great job!
Thanks! Still trying to refine my drum sound. Playing to a drumless track like this seems to help.
***** You're welcome...that makes sense, since you have one less thing to consider while mixing you're drums...the original drum track.
