I wish they'd bring it back this channel was a staple of my middle to high school years I used to watch the reruns of Scary....But True every Saturday night and then they did a showing of the 90s revival of Dark Shadows one summer great memories
I never understood the excuse of low viewership when Nielsen themselves released ratings for the channel that were in the millions. NBC must have had something else going on at the time.
The issue, more or less, is that the channel simply had no purpose besides being "the home of horror reruns"- whatever new shows they made barely got seen anyway, and the channel was slowly bleeding viewers and expenses to continue operating. For better or worse, G4, Esquire, Olympic Network, and plenty of others show that if the numbers drop even slightly, regardless of how it started to begin with, Comcast simply doesn't want to waste the extra money wherever it's being wasted.

Chiller was the last of the NBC universal channels to shut down in 2017
I miss "Chiller" already... i wish theyd just just left this up forever as a memofial to this channel.
