Gotta say been watchibng every day for a few weeks now-not always a metal/punk guy guy but did dig Ramones and Sex Pistols-saw Zeppelin-Hendrix-Who-Ten Years After-Woodstock Groups - way back and played the albums till they wore out. ALL were great. This is the first group in years Ive been listeing to till my ears are worn out. Theres a combo of metal-straight rock-punk at points and musicianship-every note and beat counts- and energy that just melds a lot of years together. Must have listened to Thunder Vengeance and all the rest 20 times each already. Anyway REALLY want to see them, Can't find music like this anywhere else.

Enjoyed the 1st reaction and here I am for part2, i Remember the first time discovering Lovebites back in 2017 watching dont bite the dust MV, then Shadowmaker dropped, Fucking Jaw dropper. I mean it was fucking awesome to see Metal in a classy and elegant display but still in your face Raw Power. This was the first song of the concert , that’s why they are wearing the jackets and they seem somewhat stiff. They took off the coats afterwards and they continued with Holy War.

I still can't believe the Miho situation. I want her to be happy. But damn. She can't be happy in Lovebites? I wish we knew what was really going on in her head. But they aren't saying. Maybe she wants to be a mom. If so, that's cool. We would respect that 100%. Maybe she is fed-up with Victor-Ent. We would understand that too. We just want to know WHY. We are sad because we don't know why.

You know what they say about genius, it often comes with an eccentric mentality. It almost sounded as though she felt being a rock star was not "important" enough to the world and that she felt it was not as noble as "helping with the world situation". Which is of course completely wrong, bringing joy with music is as helpful as any medicine. But again, I said, Genius often = eccentric mentality. But that is the way it came across to me, it's a real shame in any event, and I only hope with fingers crossed that they find a new bassist, with equal skill and passion, ASAP. Because the rest of the girls deserve better than now sitting at the threshold of super fame, and unable to cross over due to this interruption in their careers.
@@HorrorMetalMaestroRedrusty66 What you said is certainly true. The interesting thing is: they were already on a hiatus. They can't tour for awhile. Their new concert DVD is about to be released next month. Miyako was working on new songs for their next album. They were signing photo postcards and selling their merch. And they were posting photos regularly on their social media accounts. I figured they would just work together on the new songs with Miyako, and ride the rest of this year out. Maybe do a few interviews, and post them to UA-cam. But now Miho is gone, and all their Lovebites activities are on hold. Maybe they just want some time to find a new bass player. Hopefully that's all it is. Miho was helping lots of people all around the world with her music. And we will always be thankful to her for that. If she needs to go and do something else to be happy, we support her. I imagine this situation must be tough for her band-mates, too. I hope they know wolfpack is always here for them! We ain't going nowhere! We will be right here waiting for them.

You should be aware if you go to their youtube channel that they are releasing a live concert Blu-ray this will be their third live concert DVD, "Daughters of the Dawn" was their first, This song was the opener of "Five of a Kind" which was their second DVD, and their Third being released in September is "Heavy Metal never dies" Their new DVD if you can believe it or not has even heavier faster thrash on it, that they have never played live (Set the World on Fire (Extremely fast with Dragonforce speed solos), Winds of Transylvania, and Glory to the World (More progressive than thrash) to name a few. Their discography is actually quite large for a band that is just about 5 years old. A couple of the hidden gems are Mastermind 01, and Set the World on Fire. (These are two of my favorite outside of Break the Wall, Shadowmaker, Raise some Hell, Scream for Me, The Crusade (Iron Maiden Tribute that sounds like a faster version of Aces High), and of course, the one you just reacted to Thunder Vengeance). Miyako (Black hair, Serious eyes) is a Virtuoso, She plays multiple instruments, has been trained since she was 3 as a Classical Pianist, she didn't even pick up a guitar till she was 18 years old. She also writes and composes the majority of lovebites music. When asked what band she would most love to play with, her response was "Metallica, they are the godfathers of Metal". Swan Song features Miyako's masterful piano work and absolute face-melting shredding. Don't let Miyako Hide Midori (Blonde hair) though, Midori is a straight-up fucking shredder, I'm talking old-school Dream Theater, Steve Vai, Satriani, Eddie Van Halen style shredding. She really shines when she is going fast. The faster she plays the better she is. Haruna the Drummer, what the fuck can I say about her that isn't evident, while lovebites fans will tell you she is amazing, its an understatement, her body of work is phenomenal, this is a 2-hour show and she is blasting away on those double bass drums all night long. Her kit is completely custom, it is custom because she is only 4'9, so standard placement of Chinas would be hard for her to reach them. She is been featured by pearl as one of the great drummers of tomorrow. If Lovebites is a train she is the Engine, she is a human metronome powered by a mini nuclear reactor. Asami the singer, while at first, it took me a bit to get used to her vocals, I love it now, I hear the aggression in her voice in certain parts of the song, her stage presence, showmanship is second to none. She also has an amazing range. She is the hype woman of the group, she knows how to control that crowd. My personal feelings about lovebites. I grew up on Metallica, Pantera, Pink Floyd, Sabbath, Maiden. Metallica's early work is the stuff I listen to on a repeat lol. One thing Lovebites does that I adore is the ability to create songs without gaps, there are a lot of bands that have great songs out there, but they are missing things, Great initial openers, Transitions, Bridges, Break downs, and Outro's, Lovebites songs have them all, I always feel like I'm listening to a complete, perfect song.

Guitarist dark hair here is Miyako, very melodic in solos. Midori is blond haired guitarist more flashy in solos. Midori was here in USA at Namm show in Aneheim, Cal in Jan 2020. She played in the Kemper amps booth. She shredded a few feet away, so cool. She is so down to earth freindly taking selfie’s with you. Miho is the bassist, here, but she left LB this week. Ironically, "Thunder Vengeance" is not the most interesting song in their catalogue, but it's a perfect opener for their show, setting the tone for a merciless 2-hour metal storm. So: Congratulations on finding the most insane new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. We can only hope they find a way forward, after their founder and bassist announced her departure on Aug 17, 2021. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miho and Miyako have composed most of their music, in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer, but Midori has also been getting into the act. Asami writes a lot of the lyrics. They have only been around for about 5 years. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. and aced it all. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and at this point they’ve taken it to another level. This is one of their usual first songs for reactors, and rightly so--you get a good sense of the band. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash, and almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. Miyako is also a professional-level classical concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. The bassist, named Rosana Miho, has left the band, and for this reason in the near future all shows will be canceled and the band will take some time to find Miho's replacement, Miho's abandonment is a real trauma also because together with Yosai Haruna, the drummer, they founded the band.

@@HorrorMetalMaestroRedrusty66 What you said is certainly true. The interesting thing is: they were already on a hiatus. They can't tour for awhile. Their new concert DVD is about to be released next month. Miyako was working on new songs for their next album. They were signing photo postcards and selling their merch. And they were posting photos regularly on their social media accounts. I figured they would just work together on the new songs with Miyako, and ride the rest of this year out. Maybe do a few interviews, and post them to UA-cam. But now Miho is gone, and all their Lovebites activities are on hold. Maybe they just want some time to find a new bass player. Hopefully that's all it is. Miho was helping lots of people all around the world with her music. And we will always be thankful to her for that. If she needs to go and do something else to be happy, we support her. I imagine this situation must be tough for her band-mates, too. I hope they know wolfpack is always here for them! We ain't going nowhere! We will be right here waiting for them.

You should be aware if you go to their youtube channel that they are releasing a live concert Blu-ray this will be their third live concert DVD, "Daughters of the Dawn" was their first, This song was the opener of "Five of a Kind" which was their second DVD, and their Third being released in September is "Heavy Metal never dies" Their new DVD if you can believe it or not has even heavier faster thrash on it, that they have never played live (Set the World on Fire (Extremely fast with Dragonforce speed solos), Winds of Transylvania, and Glory to the World (More progressive than thrash) to name a few.
Their discography is actually quite large for a band that is just about 5 years old. A couple of the hidden gems are Mastermind 01, and Set the World on Fire. (These are two of my favorite outside of Break the Wall, Shadowmaker, Raise some Hell, Scream for Me, The Crusade (Iron Maiden Tribute that sounds like a faster version of Aces High), and of course, the one you just reacted to Thunder Vengeance).
Miyako (Black hair, Serious eyes) is a Virtuoso, She plays multiple instruments, has been trained since she was 3 as a Classical Pianist, she didn't even pick up a guitar till she was 18 years old. She also writes and composes the majority of lovebites music. When asked what band she would most love to play with, her response was "Metallica, they are the godfathers of Metal". Swan Song features Miyako's masterful piano work and absolute face-melting shredding.
Don't let Miyako Hide Midori (Blonde hair) though, Midori is a straight-up fucking shredder, I'm talking old-school Dream Theater, Steve Vai, Satriani, Eddie Van Halen style shredding. She really shines when she is going fast. The faster she plays the better she is.
Haruna the Drummer, what the fuck can I say about her that isn't evident, while lovebites fans will tell you she is amazing, its an understatement, her body of work is phenomenal, this is a 2-hour show and she is blasting away on those double bass drums all night long. Her kit is completely custom, it is custom because she is only 4'9, so standard placement of Chinas would be hard for her to reach them. She is been featured by pearl as one of the great drummers of tomorrow. If Lovebites is a train she is the Engine, she is a human metronome powered by a mini nuclear reactor.
Asami the singer, while at first, it took me a bit to get used to her vocals, I love it now, I hear the aggression in her voice in certain parts of the song, her stage presence, showmanship is second to none. She also has an amazing range. She is the hype woman of the group, she knows how to control that crowd.
My personal feelings about lovebites. I grew up on Metallica, Pantera, Pink Floyd, Sabbath, Maiden. Metallica's early work is the stuff I listen to on a repeat lol. One thing Lovebites does that I adore is the ability to create songs without gaps, there are a lot of bands that have great songs out there, but they are missing things, Great initial openers, Transitions, Bridges, Break downs, and Outro's, Lovebites songs have them all, I always feel like I'm listening to a complete, perfect song.

Happily, Haruna didn't aim an Olympic field runner. It's a kind of amazing that Miyako taught herself guitar with an instruction book. She is so gifted.
@@gatograto Miyako understands music, that understanding is like a tangible, essentially a skill she was born with. She has stated that metal is very very close in composition to classical and that helped kind of bridge her understanding learning on the guitar.

Guitarist dark hair here is Miyako, very melodic in solos. Midori is blond haired guitarist more flashy in solos. Midori was here in USA at Namm show in Aneheim, Cal in Jan 2020. She played in the Kemper amps booth. She shredded a few feet away, so cool. She is so down to earth freindly taking selfie’s with you. Miho is the bassist, here, but she left LB this week. Asami is the vocalist. Miyako plays piano as well on some songs like Swan song. Miyako does piano, keyboards on backing tracks as well.
Nemophila is another female band you might like, try their songs Raitei( music vid), or Dissension live. Band Maid another great female band, songs: Onset, Warning, Manners, Puzzle live.

Thank you for coming back to Lovebites so quickly! It looks like you may have missed my comment on your first reaction to them, so here is most of it again, including a lot of links. Ironically, "Thunder Vengeance" is not the most interesting song in their catalogue, but it's a perfect opener for their show, setting the tone for a merciless 2-hour metal storm. So:
Congratulations on finding the most insane new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. We can only hope they find a way forward, after their founder and bassist announced her departure on Aug 17, 2021.
Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background:
They were formed from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miho and Miyako have composed most of their music, in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer, but Midori has also been getting into the act. Asami writes a lot of the lyrics.
They have only been around for about 5 years. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. and aced it all. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and at this point they’ve taken it to another level.
This is one of their usual first songs for reactors, and rightly so--you get a good sense of the band. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash, and almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands.
Miyako is also a professional-level classical concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. The bassist, named Rosana Miho, has left the band, and for this reason in the near future all shows will be canceled and the band will take some time to find Miho's replacement, Miho's abandonment is a real trauma also because together with Yosai Haruna, the drummer, they founded the band.
