Lovebites are the best live act this 63 year old has ever seen. And yes, I saw them in Tokyo in March and I’m flying back to Japan in September to see them again. Twice. Can I afford it? Well yes, obviously, but “afford” is relative. Like about 25% of my yearly income for both trips. Worth every penny and more. Best band ever.

In an interview for a magazine project featuring LOVEBITES (2023), LOVEBITES producer Mr. Sugiyama said that several bands have offered to accompany the band on tour, and he is considering which one to accept.
Finally, LOVEBITES will be back to touring activities overseas.

Thought you'd come around. I like the live 2021 Tokyo video a bit better. This band is so talented that they over took Iron Maiden as my favorite band which held that spot since 1982.

The first one you listen to was studio video. Live they are in another league. Of and Stand and Deliver is like a very slow Ballard for them.

yeah 'stand and deliver was a bit of an unusual song to start your LOVEBITES journey with as it is about the only song they do out of about 60 in that style. 75% or more of their stuff is like 'holy war' or 'set the world on fire'. they specialize in power ballads, thrash, power and heavy metal and a few that may be considered hard rock. best band on the planet as you will find out if you keep going.
First time hearing. I’ll definitely watch more reactions to their music if you do more. Can’t deny that guitar playing or those drums. Amazing energy. A little bit more “growing on me” to go though yet. 👍

I thought LB might warm up to you. They grew on me. i wasn't that into them at first and now they are one of my top bands. Please check out more of their live songs. If you do Band-Maid you might need to start with the live too. I recommend Domination, Play, or Puzzle.

I actually respect the fact that you give your honest opinion in the reaction. In my experience, far too many reactors 'love' every song they ever react to as if was the singular greatest song that has ever been written in the history of music. As a human, I too enjoy having my personal musical preferences validated by others, even when I'm aware that it might not be genuine. But I have no problem with a reactor who just admits that a particular band's music (or even the one song they listend to) just isn't to their taste. You've been more than fair, and I'm pleased that you gave them a second chance.

I admit I'm biased, but I think this is better than anything by Slayer, Anthrax or Testament.
IMO if a Japanese band has a live video, don't ask questions and dive in. Very rare for them to disappoint.

I'm sorry, but it's more correct to say, that you gave yourself a second chance to yourself. I think that if a person cannot immediately, from the first listening, properly evaluate this group, then this is only his problem, but not Lovebites. He needs to work on his musical taste, raise the level of his musical erudition, expand his musical horizons. Of course, if he has the desire or need to do this.
Some Reactors are "giving a second chance" to bands because "first chance" had thousands of views and added subscribers to the Reactor channel. These Reactors do not understand that they are giving themselves a "second chance" and behave as if the fate of already well-known and popular bands depends on them.

Lovebites has many sides to them and the first song you heard was not typical for them, this one is, but they have MORE amazing sides. Lovebites is a Shocker for sure. Their genre isnt for everyone. Especially if you dont like Pristine Classic Power vocals over 80's/90's style Shred ,Power, Thrash Metal. If you are into Growl or Nu Downtuned Metal you may loose interest. Lovebites aims too produce Epic Metal that was Fashionable back in the days when Maiden,Priest,Savatage,WhiteSnake was Air Wave rulers but with their own High Energy, High Musicianship and High Class. The Drummer Haruna is an amazingly fast and precise percussionist she literally takes you on a Roller Coaster Thrill ride every song.

Did not see your stand and deliver reaction, but I can say that Stand and Deliver is quite unusual kind of song from them. They mostly do powermetal and trashmetal. Stand and Deliver is more like some kind of rock song, the "Odd ball". They do many different kind of songs, but Stand and Deliver and Glory to the World are rather different compared to rest, and they might not "sink in" for everyone easily, specially as first listen. I always like to recommend first listen as "Break the Wall" from Zepp Divercity live, because it pretty much sinks to everyone ;D

When you watching a concert Video (or Music Video), it is better to listen and watch, because. in this case, information enters the brain through TWO channels (2 sense organs): vision + hearing. Consequently, the human brain receives more information about what is happening and the effect is much stronger. A person receives the greatest part of information about the world around him with the help of his eyes (vision). Ears (hearing) are the second most used sense organ in humans. Such is the physiology of a person, this is how his body functions (brain, nervous system, endocrine system, etc.). That is why people go to the concerts of their favorite bands, not only to hear, but also to see. Otherwise, people would only listen to CDs (vinyl), not buy DVDs/Blu-rays (which are more expensive), and not go to concerts.

Proof positive that most people enjoy Lovebites’ live performances more than their music videos. They have a deep catalog of live songs and Holy War is more representative of their style than Stand and Deliver, which to me seemed like a one-off, coming out of hiatus. To be fair, their Judgement Day MV is one of the best of their MV songs. My favorite Lovebites song is “Swan Song with Chopin Intro” where Miyako brings it on and shreds piano while blending classical into power metal. I guarantee you’re gonna enjoy that one or I will cheerfully refund the 8 minutes you spend watching it. 😊

I'm sorry, but....... this is only proof that "Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down)" and "Holy War" are songs that differ in style and structure. AND EVERYTHING! It's like trying to compare, for example, DEEP PURPLE song and LED ZEPPELIN song. Several Reactors watched both "Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down)" and "Holy War" and stated that they liked the "Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down)" better. Does this mean that MV is better than Life? No. This means only one thing - different people have different musical tastes and different preferences. It all depends on what kind of music is closer to them. Not from the fact that one Music Video and another Life Video. Another proof - is that you recommend MV "Judgement Day" ..... ?!?!?! Although a few lines above wrote that Live Video is better than MV. According to your logic, @SlashleyReacts didn't like "Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down)" because it's MV. But you recommend MV.
P.S. It is necessary to determine the quality of Studio Albums not by UA-cam, but by how they sound on good (expensive) equipment& acoustics (YT does not give such sound quality)

LMAO.... LIVE these women are the very definition of Flawless Perfection. This song isn't even in their top 10 compared to their 60+ songs since their 2016 start. You experience this band and you only get that from a LIVE show. Guitars, try Scream for Me LIVE if you want to see a battle last so long it turns into a war. Their sound engineers are the same as Nightwish so the LIVE music is superb. Welcome to the Wolfpack and those of us here since the start know these women are so underappreciated it is criminal, then again some claim having this much talent in one band is criminal!!

Japan has a wealth of superb all-female and female-led bands making the 21st century's best Rock and Metal - Lovebites, Band-Maid, Nemophila, Asterism, Babymetal to name a handful. Also, fuck the haters and trolls and just keep being yourself.

You'll most likely never read this but im a much older person than yourself . I was a sergant in the British army and served 3 tours, cam out broken with many of the problems you see now as flaws. They are not and if you ever need to.s0eak I am here . Even if its for a different perspective
If you can handle non-stop thrashy power metal, Lovebites is the band. "Judgment Day," "Thunder Vengeance," "Glory To The World" are some great songs to check out. Love the tatts btw 🤘

I'm impressed with your attitude and really glad you liked this. I don't listen to LOVEBITES all that much but I own all their albums and DVDs and will be at the front of the queue for concert tickets. Now for a band I *DO* listen to a lot - They are called Hanabie, they are Harajukucore, and you are going to be mind = blown. So you don't make the same "mistake" (although it wasn't your fault), their calling card is "We Love Sweets" - not their best song, like this isn't LOVEBITES' best song and Domination isn't Band-Maid's best song, but like these, it does make all the statements the band wants to make. Don't sweat it too hard. I'm a HUGE Lovebites fan, but TBH, my first experience with them left me unimpressed. It was the MV for "When Destinies Align" and that may still be their most "stock" and basic Power metal song.
Not that it was bad, but it's literally nothing I haven't heard 1000x times before vis Helloween, Stratovarius, Angra, Dragonforce, Avantasia, etc. So I skipped Lovebites for a good 6 months, until Holy War popped up on autoplay while I was listening to Band-Maid. And I had a total 180 regarding their sound. From there went and tried out their "E" songs, and haven't looked back.
Still pretty bummed their founder and bassist, Miho, decided to leave, but the new bassist Fami brings her own unique spin, and the new album is fire.
Favorite track? Frozen Serenade.
and next need to be "Band Maid Freedom" live ;) bit more rock then metal stil just insanely good.
