One booked I really like was Pillars of Wealth by David Greene. It’s a BP book but it wasnt just talking about how great real estate investing is. A good portion of the book talks about how important it is to save your income, live on less than what you make, and delayed gratification.
It also talks about how you should have some of your own money in the game and not leverage 100% of the funds to do a deal. I think that is something that isn’t talked about in the real estate space. While it maybe nice to put little to no money down, if it goes bad that is how you can lose your shirt.
EXACTLY! Too many people keep pulling out their equity to buy more deals. And while it can help you scale, it also puts you in a very risky position if you don't have enough liquid reserves in case something goes wrong.
Hey Sean ... I wanted to know your opinion of the cashflow board game by Robert Kiyosaki ... is it worth the money to buy the game ? Advanced version of the game is around 250 dollars ..
The game is GREAT for me! My suggestion is go look for a local Cashflow groups & learn from the people that's playing it & doing it in REAL LIFE! Nothing better than interacting with REAL INVESTORS that you have met at the Cashflow circle or group.
It's a fun game, but you can play the online version for free and get the gist of what it wants to teach you.
