In terms of compatibility, the DS4 windows program allows the dual sense to be recognized as a xbox one controller. So it can be used with pretty much anyything. The dualsense also has great gyro for shooters if you're down with that
Aye, you aren't wrong D! There are ways! Thankfully, with out the box native support for Dying Light 2 (and maybe likely Elden Ring pretty please From Software), the native support is pretty sweet thus far for new games!
Steam compatibility + DualSenseX is perfect in my use. Its so nice to be able to customise the adaptive triggers for things like gun firing for that extra immersion
Yep wrth! Customisation is what PC is all about after all 😀 I love the overall improved support (both official and third party) of this generation PlayStation controller. With the bigger push in to PC definitely helping that cause 👍🏾
Well, the like ratio suggests it's somewhat divisive at best but I'll take it, thanks Lebourreau! We have support (needs fixing in some setups) for Far Cry 6 and the speaker audio (only feature that was missing) is now fully supported in Deathloop, so PS5 Controller support is growing slowly but surely 👍🎮
I recently started playing GTA4 (old game i know but the story line and gun sounds were always my favorite out of the entire saga) and wanted to use the ps5 controller but rockstars launcher didn’t support it unfortunately :( But man oh man on the ps5 it makes the games feel incredible
Agreed Jose! I wish it worked consistently everywhere so that we gamer's had a consistent choice in the matter (without modding/ emulation) as when it is fully supported it's a GREAT feeling device! 👊🏾

At this point my favorite countroller still seems to be the Steam Controller. I tried buying a DualSense 5 and the new xbox elite controller and neither were able to supplant the steam controller as my go-to, much to my chagrin. The steam controller having been discontinued is what lead to me trying to find a replacement for it, as I recognize I will eventually need to replace it.

Ahh the gamepass compatibility is a bummer. I don't play super many games on there but it would suck to buy a controller that just doesn't work when I do play something off of that. Mine works beautifully it's really just a lottery to get one of these things, same with the ps5 itself,for example. With my ps5 I did not get so lucky, it was loud, it had fps issues and it crashed every week at max. As a result I had to send it back to get repaired, it will be back within a week or two repaired or replayed 😕
That depends on whether you care about proper use of haptic feedback and support for adaptive triggers, which has to be implemented by developers and is a world apart HateUTub (got FC 6 working fully with it, oh boy 😃). But for just basic Xbox like compatibility I'd say you are right 🎮

Yeah like certain games already have their like metro deathloop and a couple other games they ready have that like PS5 compatibility later on there but other games do not but then obviously if you mean no plug it into your PC you can and you change your sound to the PlayStation 5 you can feel the vibrations to a completely different to how they would normally feel
I think I get adaptive triggers feed back when I use my Xbox controller for Forza horizon 5 bc I can feel the LT and RT triggers vibrate when I break or press the glass
Been using a PowerA xbox controller (wired) with the buttons on the back, but after two years, the analogue has broken. Movin' forwards is now responsive. Ruinin' my Skyrim Elysium Remaster playthrough. Was bound for a problem - (who has ever played a heavily modded version of skyrim, all the way through, without a problem?) - anyway, just bought a new ps5 controller with 3 years insurance. I have played with them before on PS5 - and can only hope for some sort of trigger feedback integration into some PC games, as that is what I will be using it on. Uhm, bit clunky, can be uncomfortable for long time use, but the features are top tier - I will miss those back buttons, but, I like and enjoy a challenge. So, xbox powerA with back buttons are a favoured PC controller, even tho' it only lasted a couple of years (affordability, tho'!) Then PS5 controller!

@@just4knives57 It works perfectly for Diablo II Resurrected although you may have the haptic feedback (vibration) issue as is the case with Far Cry 6 (not sure if they implemented adaptive triggers for it) of which there is a fix (just tested just now for you, vibration isn't working for me currently even after the fix). soooo i got my ps5 controller like a week ago for fort and the joysticks felt amazing right but the buttons felt like trash dunno why the bumpers were just a take it or leave it situation and and i dont care the hold of the dual shock is better than the ps5 controllers just the fell of holding t felt perfect also i wont use the ps5 mic like never soo its kinda useless
Aye, fair enough Bzxny! I think it's definitely situational where it might perform best, I mean thankfully you have fall back options, for the games like Deathloop and Metro Exodus that utilises its special feature, for me, it feels nice (assuming it's working the way its suppose, I know some have drift or issues potentially too unfortunately). Hopefully it because available to more games and you get more use out of it. Maybe see as well it you need to calibrate it a bit or tweak some settings in Fortnite too to see if that helps 🙂
Yes. Windows detects it as 2 wireless / dualsense controllers in testing so I'd assume it will work as normal too. However I have no games I'm aware of to test the functionality right now. Should work just fine though! You may need to use the Steam fix to make it operate as a normal Xbox controller in games that don't support the features natively. I can guarentee it doesn't support the new PS5 features (although I think they're doing a PS5 update or something which may pass over to PC version), but honestly without testing it I can't say for sure right now, it works fully with speaker audio in Deathloop however after an update and if you're lucky it works in Far Cry 6 with Haptic Feedback (many people including myself only get adaptive triggers and no vibration in that one). So yeah, Xbox is still the go to for all around support. If I find out different or more info for GTA 5, I'll let you know Flix! 👍
my Dualsense on PC stopped working the haptic feedback, I believe the problem is in the audio. before I formatted the PC it worked normally, I've been trying to fix it for months and nobody can help me ;(
Man, that sucks Murilo! I wish I knew a solution for you. Did you get it early enough to maybe refund it? I'm sure you've already tried removing it from system devices and reinstalling again as well as trying a different USB C cable?

Doesn't Steam natively emulate this to X-Input like the DS4 controller? Between that and/or DS4Windows emulating, I can't imagine there being any compatability issues. I just ordered mine and excited to play Red Dead 2, AC: Odyssey, Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 on my RTX 3070 with this DS5 controller.

I believe this to be true, I guess in this video I'm looking more at out the box and native compatibility as well as native support for things like Adaptive Triggers (Far Cry 6, AC Valhalla and Deathloop support this for example which has to be developed into the game on pc, not emulated). A beautiful experience when all the native features come together as one, welcome to the family man! (Beautiful list of games too, AC Odyssey just dropped some new free story DLC too!)
@@The1nteger Oh nice, I wasn't aware there were already some games with native support with the haptics/adaptive triggers. I'd assume most PS5 games that make it to PC will include support natively. Also, don't get pumped for me! I've been in the PC game a while, I just upgraded to an i9-10850k + RTX 3070 and wanted to upgrade my PS4 controller as well. I've got quite a few controller games sitting in my backlog, gonna use this new controller as an excuse to play more of them! Really hyped for this controller though, got the midnight black version to match my PC setup.. I didn't even notice they started making different colors so I snagged it immediately.
@@Aliothale Oh no, I meant for the Controller Alio, it's worth been pumped for if you are experiencing the full feature set working in a game for the first time especially with full pc fidelity too (Far Cry 6 with a big freaking gun, something else, awesome in Deathloop). I'd suspect you're right that most PS5 to pc games should support it natively over time which means full immersion time (I suspect Cyberpunk 2077 will get support in 2022 too!)
Yeah PS5 controllers great on a whole bunch of systems especially if you have a device that can basically you know using on almost every system that has a that uses a priority USB port like whenever a new console comes out I always buy the controller like I've got a whole bunch of controllers and yeah I've got most of the console already I haven't got a PS5 but like I never knew but whenever well-known console comes out always go by the controller just to know how it feels I don't know I've always done that for years and I've never stopped and the PS5 is no objection I will I was going to get it Xbox but I realise it nothing's changed it's still the same and it's basically still the same for Xbox 360 so what I mean is that is actually like I haven't bought Xbox I've bought Nintendo just because well Nintendo when I spoke their faces similar said for you know the boiler is switched around still you know no Nana dead zones on Nintendo away bird in Xbox but anyway yeah based environments great man using gyro flip stick steam import just yeah PC gaming has a place
Yeah, compatibility is getting better and in comparison the xbox controller is solid but lagging way...way behind. The PS5 controller just FEELS next gen especially in games that support native features on the PC and PS5 itself.
Ps3 was the best form for controller but ds5 is good with all the extra features and an actual decent quality microphone to go with it since i use studio headphones without their own mic
That's a very measured perspective from someone with an xbox-like username 😅 And yes, the microphone is incredibly accurate on the PS5 when I use it for search so the quality is indeed pretty darn good 👍
I had bought ps5 controller back in February for my pc. I tried to use adaptive triggers but those broke down in a day, I returned the controller and now I'm thinking of getting it again. I sold my ds4 today. What do you suggest me? I have used ds4 on pc for past 6-7years, love it.
Hey Kaif! Man...you're putting me on the spot there. Okay, so, disclaimer, before my DualSense, the Xbox One controller was my go to for compatibility reasons. I'd still argue that if you need a controller that is going to work all the time for anything that supports and controller and don't have one, you should have the Xbox One Controller / Elite as your no-frills always reliable go to. On the otherhand, you're the 2nd person here to say they had a problem with the PS5 DS, so I'm starting to think there are models with issues. Mine is early days to say if it is technically solid but no issues thus far thank God (amazon link in the description if end up buying from there. wink, wink). However all that aside, assuming you get a working controller without issues as you'd expect, when it's compatible I'd say it's the best feeling controller of them all right now and would be my first choice in the majority of circumstances (when it fully works). Now if the rumble worked on Diablo 2 Resurrection (last I checked, it doesn't) and the haptic feedback features work on PC for the upcoming Far Cry 6, the it's easier to recommend. But as it stands, you can only enjoy full compatibility with like 3 games on pc (Deathloop, Metro Exodus, AC Valhalla & F1 2021 I believe) and it's still not as fully compatibile in standard mode vs the Xbox, so it still might be considered a luxury purchase at this point. Hope that long-winded response helps you make a decision, let me know what you decide and if I remember, I'll try to update if / when it's fully compatible with more PC releases like FC6 👍
@@The1nteger just ordered it again. I have all the other controllers, xbox one,360(Xbox one's are of my brother) also Logitech. But the best one yet is ds5 for sure . I don't know if you've noticed but its tad bit heavy. I don't think any other controller can match this.

@@just4knives57 It works perfectly for Diablo II Resurrected although you may have the haptic feedback (vibration) issue as is the case with Far Cry 6 (not sure if they implemented adaptive triggers for it) of which there is a fix (just tested just now for you, vibration isn't working for me currently even after the fix). soooo i got my ps5 controller like a week ago for fort and the joysticks felt amazing right but the buttons felt like trash dunno why the bumpers were just a take it or leave it situation and and i dont care the hold of the dual shock is better than the ps5 controllers just the fell of holding t felt perfect also i wont use the ps5 mic like never soo its kinda useless
Aye, fair enough Bzxny! I think it's definitely situational where it might perform best, I mean thankfully you have fall back options, for the games like Deathloop and Metro Exodus that utilises its special feature, for me, it feels nice (assuming it's working the way its suppose, I know some have drift or issues potentially too unfortunately). Hopefully it because available to more games and you get more use out of it. Maybe see as well it you need to calibrate it a bit or tweak some settings in Fortnite too to see if that helps 🙂
can u connect 2 PS5 controller in one PC
Yes. Windows detects it as 2 wireless / dualsense controllers in testing so I'd assume it will work as normal too. However I have no games I'm aware of to test the functionality right now. Should work just fine though! You may need to use the Steam fix to make it operate as a normal Xbox controller in games that don't support the features natively. Does this controller work with gta 5 on steam. If so, does it support the features. I doubt it though
I can guarentee it doesn't support the new PS5 features (although I think they're doing a PS5 update or something which may pass over to PC version), but honestly without testing it I can't say for sure right now, it works fully with speaker audio in Deathloop however after an update and if you're lucky it works in Far Cry 6 with Haptic Feedback (many people including myself only get adaptive triggers and no vibration in that one). So yeah, Xbox is still the go to for all around support. If I find out different or more info for GTA 5, I'll let you know Flix! 👍

my Dualsense on PC stopped working the haptic feedback, I believe the problem is in the audio. before I formatted the PC it worked normally, I've been trying to fix it for months and nobody can help me ;(
Man, that sucks Murilo! I wish I knew a solution for you. Did you get it early enough to maybe refund it? I'm sure you've already tried removing it from system devices and reinstalling again as well as trying a different USB C cable?

Doesn't Steam natively emulate this to X-Input like the DS4 controller? Between that and/or DS4Windows emulating, I can't imagine there being any compatability issues. I just ordered mine and excited to play Red Dead 2, AC: Odyssey, Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 on my RTX 3070 with this DS5 controller.

I believe this to be true, I guess in this video I'm looking more at out the box and native compatibility as well as native support for things like Adaptive Triggers (Far Cry 6, AC Valhalla and Deathloop support this for example which has to be developed into the game on pc, not emulated). A beautiful experience when all the native features come together as one, welcome to the family man! (Beautiful list of games too, AC Odyssey just dropped some new free story DLC too!)
@@The1nteger Oh nice, I wasn't aware there were already some games with native support with the haptics/adaptive triggers. I'd assume most PS5 games that make it to PC will include support natively. Also, don't get pumped for me! I've been in the PC game a while, I just upgraded to an i9-10850k + RTX 3070 and wanted to upgrade my PS4 controller as well. I've got quite a few controller games sitting in my backlog, gonna use this new controller as an excuse to play more of them! Really hyped for this controller though, got the midnight black version to match my PC setup.. I didn't even notice they started making different colors so I snagged it immediately.
@@Aliothale Oh no, I meant for the Controller Alio, it's worth been pumped for if you are experiencing the full feature set working in a game for the first time especially with full pc fidelity too (Far Cry 6 with a big freaking gun, something else, awesome in Deathloop). I'd suspect you're right that most PS5 to pc games should support it natively over time which means full immersion time (I suspect Cyberpunk 2077 will get support in 2022 too!)
Yeah PS5 controllers great on a whole bunch of systems especially if you have a device that can basically you know using on almost every system that has a that uses a priority USB port like whenever a new console comes out I always buy the controller like I've got a whole bunch of controllers and yeah I've got most of the console already I haven't got a PS5 but like I never knew but whenever well-known console comes out always go by the controller just to know how it feels I don't know I've always done that for years and I've never stopped and the PS5 is no objection I will I was going to get it Xbox but I realise it nothing's changed it's still the same and it's basically still the same for Xbox 360 so what I mean is that is actually like I haven't bought Xbox I've bought Nintendo just because well Nintendo when I spoke their faces similar said for you know the boiler is switched around still you know no Nana dead zones on Nintendo away bird in Xbox but anyway yeah based environments great man using gyro flip stick steam import just yeah PC gaming has a place
Yeah, compatibility is getting better and in comparison the xbox controller is solid but lagging way...way behind. The PS5 controller just FEELS next gen especially in games that support native features on the PC and PS5 itself.
Ps3 was the best form for controller but ds5 is good with all the extra features and an actual decent quality microphone to go with it since i use studio headphones without their own mic
That's a very measured perspective from someone with an xbox-like username 😅 And yes, the microphone is incredibly accurate on the PS5 when I use it for search so the quality is indeed pretty darn good 👍

I had bought ps5 controller back in February for my pc. I tried to use adaptive triggers but those broke down in a day, I returned the controller and now I'm thinking of getting it again. I sold my ds4 today. What do you suggest me? I have used ds4 on pc for past 6-7years, love it.
Hey Kaif! Man...you're putting me on the spot there. Okay, so, disclaimer, before my DualSense, the Xbox One controller was my go to for compatibility reasons. I'd still argue that if you need a controller that is going to work all the time for anything that supports and controller and don't have one, you should have the Xbox One Controller / Elite as your no-frills always reliable go to. On the otherhand, you're the 2nd person here to say they had a problem with the PS5 DS, so I'm starting to think there are models with issues. Mine is early days to say if it is technically solid but no issues thus far thank God (amazon link in the description if end up buying from there. wink, wink). However all that aside, assuming you get a working controller without issues as you'd expect, when it's compatible I'd say it's the best feeling controller of them all right now and would be my first choice in the majority of circumstances (when it fully works). Now if the rumble worked on Diablo 2 Resurrection (last I checked, it doesn't) and the haptic feedback features work on PC for the upcoming Far Cry 6, the it's easier to recommend. But as it stands, you can only enjoy full compatibility with like 3 games on pc (Deathloop, Metro Exodus, AC Valhalla & F1 2021 I believe) and it's still not as fully compatibile in standard mode vs the Xbox, so it still might be considered a luxury purchase at this point. Hope that long-winded response helps you make a decision, let me know what you decide and if I remember, I'll try to update if / when it's fully compatible with more PC releases like FC6 👍
@@The1nteger just ordered it again. I have all the other controllers, xbox one,360(Xbox one's are of my brother) also Logitech. But the best one yet is ds5 for sure . I don't know if you've noticed but its tad bit heavy. I don't think any other controller can match this.
