OmAhuja Yeah, true, he made some pretty nice plays at first. I remember in the video he stretched really far to make the play on 1 of the Machado throws.
After watching all 5 vids I feel that this was a good compilation with a few flaws. One I feel that you favored the NL specifically the Dodgers. Also I noticed several great plays the Indians turned were absent. I realize you cant catch everything *no pun intended* but you missed a triple play turned by the Indians against the Dodgers, while you had 4 other triple plays in the list. Also Cespedes had several outfield assists in the list while Brantley had none. Additionally Rayburn made an incredible diving play in right towards the end of the season. All in all I enjoyed the compilation, but felt the need to point out some plays that I thought deserved to be in the list (considering some of the other plays that made it) especially the triple play. Keep these coming though!
Nobody will be able to find every extraordinary play from the time period, if they did it would take at least an hour, if you want all highlights, check in daily to MLB.com daily updates
It depends if there's a "force play". Say there is a runner on 1st and a ground ball in the infield. The player can catch that ball without having to tag the runner, he just has to step on the base to get the runner out at 2nd. In other words there's no force if there is no runner on 1st base. If there is a runner on 2nd, the 3rd baseman or the catcher would have to tag him if he were to run because there is no runner on 1st. Does that make sense?
+Captain_of_Solitude I think Arenado does, 7:08? It doesn't even look like he's even throwing that hard. Machado does it effortlessly too, but not as much as Arenado. It's kinda hard to tell, but Machado does have an amazing arm.
Something against the Orioles? 3 gold gloves and you show 1 play by Jones from the playoffs...3 of what even were not the best by Machado, NOTHING by JJ hardy or Markakis. Most of those plays were not nearly as good as the Orioles highlight reels... But nice move highlighting Simmons.
Sir_Boss - Minecraft gaming And more! - and im cool but how could it be a triple play while there's only 2 player ( the one on the third and the batter) in the 5th inning?
If a ball is caught in the air the only way a runner can advance is waiting it is caught while waiting on the bag. So since the ball was caught he attpemted to go back but... you say how that went.
James White ok i kinda get it. so, basically the runner have to see whether the ball is caught or landed on the ground. if it's landed on the ground, he would have run to the base then. if it's caught in the air, he wasn't allowed to advance to the home base and run back to secure his 3rd. am i right?
Josh Hairison (or how ever it is spelled) deserves a highlight reel. He did amazingly in both IF and OF

When do you have to tag the player and when can you just have your foot on the base?

Dang, Machado and Arenado make those plays look so easy.
That Machado jump throw was crazy.
Both are remarkable players, but I think Machado has the stronger arm.
+Captain_of_Solitude I think Arenado does, 7:08?

Sir_Boss - Minecraft gaming And more! - and im cool

Machado is a prima donna who thinks he is above the game. Wonder why he keeps getting hurt? Baseball Karma baby. Be humble, not a diva.
I totally agree
