Shawnigan Lake, BC, Canada - CL-415’s ...Returning For Water

Joining the BC Wildfire Service, this pair of CL-415 ‘Super Scoopers’ from Ontario, are lending their support in fighting the Old Man Lake wildfire near Sooke, B.C. on Vancouver Island.
After burning for more than two weeks, the Old Man Lake wildfire is finally listed as under control (as of 2024-08-08).
At time of filming however, the fire remained out of control and these water bombers were returning every 10 to 12 minutes to
replenish their tanks at Shawnigan Lake.
