Have you successfully taught adults? I took private lessons to learn to do a cartwheel in my 30s. I was about as successful as Jimmy. Figured it’s something you have to learn when you’re a kid.
She seems so sweet but she really gives credence to the old saying "those who can do, can't teach" She had no idea how to instruct them. She just kept doing flawless cartwheels and hoping it would transfer 😆 Love her though!
When you're a kid, don't weigh much, and think you're invincible, you don't think about getting hurt. Someone in their mid-fifties, however? you can totally overthink the whole thing. And it doesn't just apply to cartwheels. I never bothered getting a driver's license as a teen and now I would be terrified to even try.
LOL they remind me of a rather obese guy I saw once at the beach trying to do a handstand on the sand while a friend cheered him on. It was both hilarious and painful to watch. Conflicting emotions.

She kept saying “it’s easy, just do this… [proceeds to cartwheel].” That’s when I realized that until I build upper body strength-and confidence in the strength-I can’t do a cartwheel.
