That was risky of Soto luckily worked in his favor and gets himself a little league homer in the process and was also 4-4, and that beautiful bases clearing double from volpe.
1st oof 2 mistakes he made all because he stood at home admiring what he thought were homers 7:11 was the other .Why nobody covered 2b puzzling. 1st basemen should have covered 2nd.

They are afraid to create another Ellsbury. I don't know how you can be a very good machine if you are always broken. The truth is DJ doesn't have it anymore he is a groundout machine and has the lowest slugging in the majors. Front office needs to swallow their pride take the loss on the contract and give Cabrera more playing time

Soto should have been thrown out twice in this game because he stood at home plate admiring 2 hits he thought were homers. At 7:11 if someone covered 2nd base soto would have been either out or had a single off the wall that every hustling player would have an easy double. At least jog to 1st. Don't stand at home like a prima donna
Yankees are still brutal to watch with RISP. Every time the highlight shows someone batting with runners on it’s most likely a double play.

60 year fan, here. I am not liking the optics of all the empty seats behind home plate. The RICH, showing us all how privileged they are: They can gleefully ruin the optics of a MLB presentation by simply not going to the game. How lovely. I will be contacting the NYY front office about this. It is clear a rider needs to be established for season ticket holders. It could go something like this: " Your seats are guaranteed up to the end of the second inning of each game. If you are not seated by that time, others may obtain your seats for the remainder of the game by asking for a change of seating to an unoccupied seat. If you arrive after the end of the second inning of any game, and your seat has been filled, you may occupy the seat abandoned by the person now occupying your seat. Enjoy the game!"
