@@Bluecrossgamingchannel he's becoming a better situational hitter, that has to be terrifying to the rest of the league. He sees the ABs where all he has to do is hit it to the right side, or in the air, to move or score a runner, and he's really damn good at doing that. Plus he's so strong that any solid contact can turn into a homer, and that's happened several times this year, just trying to get it deep enough for a sac fly and it goes to the 2nd deck.

@@jackharrington697 we knew he would, Cole is too good to ever be bad. Even when he starts to get older and lose some heat, he'll still be a good pitcher, because he's smart. Clemens and Johnson always had my respect for that, steroids or not, they found a way to become a different pitcher and still be good without the killer fastball.

Lemahieu has been exhausting to watch th3 past three seasons. We need to play Cabrera and get some spark out there. Played phenomenal before he came back into the lineup.
Cabrera isn’t that great. How about the Yankees trade for McMahon.
A win is a win, but 4 hits by Soto, 2 from Judge, we had the big double by Volpe, but for this team to consistently win like we did for most of the first half, it can't just be Soto and Judge, we need depth.

@@bigrich6075 hey man, at least I'm not the typical doomer on this channel, talking about how much we suck and Boone needs to go. We're good, we just need a few more pieces. Stanton should be back soon, hopefully we can pick up a corner infielder with power at the deadline, maybe a reliever or 2. I expect them to make moves too, we're gonna get better. This team is a legit WS threat, just a few more pieces will get them there.

I was there! I got up to get a sandwich, realised I had dropped my credit card, ran around until an employee pointed me to the lost and found, and when I got back to my seat, they had scored four runs.
Absolutely worth it though. The stadium was packed and was rumbling louder than the subway between innings. When Judge was at bat, it was deafening.

chillax, grisham is almost league average in wrc+, 4th highest after the first 3 in the lineup. He and wells have been the best hitters on the team outside of our 1-3 (and stanton)

How about Soto with 80 walks this season with still over 60 games to go and Judge with what 86 RBI's. That's tremendous
Imagine some depth behind that. Dominguez, Stanton, and some extra firepower at the deadline. Got my eyes on Walker.
@@LurchFettermanDon't think the Martian is going to give us much this year, if anything. Oblique injuries take awhile to heal, and then he's starting basically from scratch. Hopefully, he's in our starting lineup next year. Better pray for GS to come back healthy and hit like he was, along with a big acquisition here in the next 11 days.
Cole finding his stride is the best thing for us. Need him to be his best come postseason

Soto was doing Soto things, and we came out with the win.
Does he ever have a bad at bat? Seriously, it's uncanny. I've seen a first pitch popup here and there, but for the most part almost every time he steps in, he either gets on base or makes the pitcher work his ass off to get him out.
They won and finally Cole looked great. Still our offense is entirely reliant on two people
@@johnszczerba9979 I was saying the same, big double by Volpe, but they basically never win if Soto or Judge don't contribute. Wells was heating up before the break though, Rice is looking good. Look for a big piece at the deadline, Stanton will be back, we could be killing it.
We are a hard hitting third baseman away from a seriously troublesome lineup.
@@ThebusterugglassBregman? I know that sounds crazy, Astros are in 1st place now too. But his contact is up, he's having a bad year. It's a high risk/high reward kinda thing. Peak Bregman is a beast.
@@LurchFettermanMore likely Chapman from the Giants. I don't think the 'Stros will trade Bregman now that they're in 1st, plus it might piss off Altuve. I think Houston will give Bregman (if they don't come to a longer deal) the one year offer, so that if he turns that down, they get the supplemental draft picks when he signs with another team.
So we supposed to pretend that we weren't more consistent with Cabrera? At least we could go 1st to 3rd and not clog bases for the FEW times DJ actually gets on.
Cabrera isn't that consistent or durable though. He's good in his role, as a fill-in.

I almost wish he would take a lil off his sinker to control it better. Mo's cutter is arguably the best pitch in history, and it didn't really move that much, he was just so damn precise with it he could always put it in that untouchable spot. Holmes could do the same if he's throwing high 90s with just a little bite, it doesn't have to dive 2 feet.

Soto is a dog, you just don't get an easy AB against him as a pitcher. Volpe needs to tune into that and get super aggressive, an Altuve type leadoff guy, then Soto and Judge would be the most lethal 1-2-3 in baseball. I think Volpe just needs some more bat control and plate coverage to get there, but he's still young, and we've seen him make major adjustments.

so basically, he went to try and extend the double into a triple. the ball hit him as he was sliding but he was safe anyway, and the ball was thrown out of bounds so you get to move an extra base up when that happens, so since he was at 3rd he took home.
