I’m freaking out with the video and your work, nice explanation, humility and good vibrations around. I’m impress with the elegant specimen. Congratulations and thanks for sharing. We want more!! Arigato!
I've been waiting for this one since you posted it on Instagram, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The thumbnail rocks, the bend rocks harder. Don't forget to post a comparison when all the bars and tape are off!
Right on! Thanks Pedro! Been a very busy start of the year, glad I got around to it. Looks bad to say but it sold already 🙃 Maybe I can beg the guy who bought it for a photo 😆
Amazing transformation! Would be interested in aftercare after work like this? Do you tone down the fertilizer until it shows signs of a healthy recovery?
That's right. In this case, it was done in winter though. As spring came around it had restored it's leaf color and buds began moving evenly. So it will likely be fertilized as normal.
Looking great, at least a thousand times better than previously. Just curious, what will happen if you did the bend during summer? My country doesnt have winter.
While it can be done in growing seasons, I find the water flowing through the trunk makes it much stiffer and more likely to break. Definitely practice it many times before executing it on a valuable tree if you can.
@@BonsaiHarmonyThanks for your insight. The practice in my country is to let the tree dry for 3 days before bending. But a lot of times I forgot about this & payed the price for it. I will make sure to remember this for next time.
That's definitely another option, and I mention that in my deciduous wiring video. You do have to know your trees to know how much you can let it dry out too.
BANGING styling my dude.

What is baton tape? Never heard of it before. Thanks
It's a vinyl tape used to strap down temporary structures like green houses. Perhaps more common in Japan, but available anywhere
is it okay to do this on mid to late spring?
It can be, but juniper should be allowed to grow freely until summer at least to regain strength from winter dormancy.
@@BonsaiHarmony thanks for responding, love your analytical approach in describing things as you go!
