good question! Dnair could work but i'd imagine it'd make the team a fair bit softer to a fighter on lead, especially one with quicker pacing than it, like Ape. so although dragonite, is a little more frail than dragonair, i think it's preferable for this comp solely thanks to the fighting resistance!
