i still enjoy these older videos so much. the intro brings so much nostalgia because when i first start watching Rhea's videos I was in a very dark space. these simple living vlogs brought light into my dark days & helped me gain such an appreciation for life even... if it's quiet & calm.. on a bad day it's helped me see that something as simple as making a meal can bring soo much joy ☺️ it's also helped me realize my dream of going to japan even more. thank you Rhea for all that you do & all that you have done ❤️
We're independent woman so we could stay at our room all day long and the best part is sleeping in the heavy rain 😌
Melani Meylan my fave!!!
@@Veerow2005 with thunder?
Melani Meylan omg. Yasssss 👀😭😍
@@Veerow2005 Nice 👍
it's soo nice.
As an introvert I really enjoy this video, most of the time I spent my sunday not going anywhere just relax at home
Reza Dranie me too. It takes all I have just to get through the week with work and family responsibilities etc. When Sunday comes I need to decompress I try to go nowhere if possible
Play games all day and eat junk food on Sundays
this is my typical sunday. people never understand why l dont wanna go out every weekend. i love how you set up the table for every meal. l just jump onto the couch with a plate in hand.
Its not a must going out every weekend. There are many homebodies but they are not seen since they are at home. Its an absolute delight to be a homebody 😀
Exactly, our room is our comfy zone. Best place to recharge our mind and spirit.
I just eat in my bed, nothing like crashing with a box of pizza next to you...I throw out a mattress every 5 years. Not really throw out but chop them up as the foam is useful for roofing.
@@suziek888 I have found this to be very enjoyable 🐰
Silence is so relaxing....
I absolutely love how you eat everything and not put anything to waste.
Emma Fazz , I know she is so slim, too! I love that she enjoys all of her food. It looks like she is a good cook😋
Egg waa wasted. When she made lunch
She wakes up at 9:30 and says it's late... I had a day off and woke up at 12 and I was proud of myself for not sleeping too late haha!
Surise even if I wake up at 9 or 10 on a day off I roll in bed until noon lol
LOL😂😂
Surise 😂😂😂😂😂☠️
Dude here if u wake up at 8:30 that is also called late
At least u work
One thing i really observed is that she gives time for every little thing she does.. she doesn't do it just for the sake of it.. i really like that.. all we have to do is to go slow and focus on the present things.. it is beautiful.. thanx for sharing this amazing video!!🙂
“I will sleep until dinner time.” Lmfaoooooo I laughed cuz that’s me too lololols
why is it funny though
@@rishaa682 it is joyful. she takes delight in having something in common.
I was thinking, a bath then nap? My hero!
@@rishaa682 why been salty tho ? Let her laugh or do whatever she wants dah
that's a mood tho ngl 😂
I like how you stayed in pajamas all day, this is real life.
I don't know if it's just me but I sleep in jeans and shirts because pajamas make me feel vulnerable.
HERPY DERPEDY jeans? Is that not seriously uncomfortable?
olivia 333 No it isn’t? Lots of people stay in pajamas all day. Not just Asians.
@@Alina-kj2zw even if i am a guest i wear pyjamas,it's normal
olivia 333 So now I can tell people I am part Asian?
I love how Japanese people are so efficient, clean and organized its inspiring 😁
@xar xar woah! She is? I will subscribed now.
@@hik7768 she's not a Japanese though. She's a Filipina living in Japan ☺️
I will never, ever complain about the size of my kitchen again!
chaserkitty saaame!!! 😅
True soooo true. I'll do the same
Far easier to clean though! 😉
Hey at least she has a window in her apartment. All the videos I have seen was like a jail no window. I felt claustrophobic just by watching
Same here 😂 I have fallen back in love with my cute little kitchen
Im an impatient person who’s always on the rush. Felt good when i watched yr videos. I feel alot calmer these days. Im learning to take it slower and i feel better now. Thank u
Started off watching your salary woman video , and then this. Enjoyed it . Love, from Nigeria 😊
JENNY LIVING same here and now I’m binge watching everything
JENNY LIVING Jenny darling, same here. Just got recommendation to watch that same video and I’m hooked. I had to go back and start watching her old videos.
The self respect and appreciation in this video is immaculate * *three chef kisses* *

4:26. Simple happiness. Eating my dinner while watching your video.
I love UA-cam. It has given the entire World the opportunity to peep into the daily lives, as well as their fridges, of people living on the other side of the world and whom you will never meet and understand that, after all, once you have skimmed the surface we are not that much different.
love this comment

Hello! I have a suggestion. Since you have small kitchen and you have small space when slicing or cooking. Why not get a big chopping wooden board that you can put on top of your sink so you can cover it when you’re not using it then use it as sort of table
I think that would be a great idea.Thank you! 💕😊
Sa Alcabasa Am always scared the food mite slip n fall over into the sink. Great suggestion.
Exactly what I was thinking then I saw this comment!
13 November 2019, Palermo, Sicily.
May I step in with another suggestion?
Do not make your bed in the morning as soon as you have got up.
At night we sweat and shed skin cells. Dust mites love both of these things and really thrive in damp, humid climates. When you get out of bed and make it right away you are trapping a lot of the moisture. Instead allow your bed and duvet to air out for at least an hour. This can help reduce the moisture and reduce the number of dust mites as well.
@@benedettobruno1669 yes! I turn back the covers and occasionally spray with lavender
I'm looking forward to see more of your vlogs! I really appreciate the English subtitles. 😣 Please show us around Japan! Good luck on your channel! 🤗🤗🤗
Steffi Lim thank you for watching.. Yes, I'll show more about Japan. Thanks you😊💕
Rainfall puts negative ions into the air which have a positive effect on the mood. Similar to how we feel refreshed by the flowing water in the shower or when by a river or waterfall. It is my favorite time to open windows, as long as the rain doesn't get in and the temperature also permits. It is how nature cleans the air and makes the home feel so fresh and clean!
Jessica Hill exactly ! I dont understand why some people dont like the rain ! It feels so positive !
I love rain.. I love cloudy windy rainy weather
Always bring a good moods for me.
I especially like the earthy smell after the rain...like soil or clay that's disturbed by the rain. There's something so calming and familiar to it
I would die for a single independent life like dis
Why? Are you not single nor independent?
Me too... Im a mom of 2 imagine the havoc they gives all day 😂
Wish i could be as indepedent happy on her own skin and calm as her.
Me second. I wish i have the financial ability to rent an apartment and live by myself.
Me: Stays at home.
My Step counter at the end of the day: 14 Steps
You seem to live such a peaceful life. I am envious. While I do not think I myself could do minimalism at my current point in life, I find it inspiring. I hope you continue to have such a peaceful life.
Finishes lunch : “I will sleep till dinner time”.. LMAO
😂😂😂😂
Wonderful feel of relaxation. I also live alone but in an apartment in the US. I have been studying Japanese off and on for 30 years. I have a disability and cannot work. But i read and study things, and enjoy my life. Best wishes to you!
So simple, so calming. I live like this on daily basis, and I enjoy watching your videos whenever I need to find peace.
You are so wholesome!
I really adore how neat she is. It's best to have a minimalist lifestyle. I'm trying to purge my excess things but it's hard when many things are sentimental.
Clearly you do not have cats. ;-) You "vacuum" by using a lint roller on the carpeting?! I started to cry during your cooking segments. I'm not sure if it was because of the beautiful music, or the fact that you honor yourself so much by treating each meal as an event. I admire how you find such happiness in simple things. I can learn a lot from you and I'm MUCH older than you are. I just learned that Marilyn Monroe used Vaseline on her face, so you are doing the right thing. :-)
Vaseline is toxic
@@eleonoratreu4720 A little more context on that assertion? I found nothing about Vaseline being toxic if used on skin.
@@spacewolfcub It depends on what kind of vaseline you use, the most high quality one (which is white) is not dangerous, but the less refined it is, more it's carcinogenic, even the yellowsh one is quite toxic for your body. And sometimes you can find the yellowsh one as a beauty product too so, pay attenction to the quality.
@@eleonoratreu4720 are you referring to petroleum jelly? Because Vaseline is a specific, branded product.
@@alixmeek8478 Yes, because it's the most known so people tend to refer to the petroleum jelly as Vaseline.
this is soooo calming and wholesome!!! life goals
If you really pay attention you can see that she doesn't really have abnormally huge portions of carbs. Looks like she eats really yummy things but in moderation.
Your pajama sets are adorable!
The bed spread too
It amazes me how your tiny space looks so tidy, while my quite large space looks always so messy 🙈🙈
I hope I can learn from you. To enjoy the simple things again.
today first time I came across ur channel.... loved ur vlogs... very interesting to watch ...almost watched 4-5 videos...japaense apartment very coollllll !!!!
Wow. Thank you so much😊💕
🇮🇳💕
Apparently I’m not the only women doing this ! I love this channel ! Life really is this calm and this has reminded me to enjoy the blessings !
I love this video ❤️, It's so relaxing and I love your little kitchen.
I assume there was some personal information in the scene with your immigration paperwork. I would leave anything out that might even hint at important personal information, for safety reasons. I couldn’t read any of it of course, but please please be safe.
Jessica T Thinking the same thing! Thank you for saying something! 👍
Thank you for your concern. I'll be careful next time😊
I love the way you eat all prepared and serverd really well just like self treating everyday👍😊
This is sooo my life, cooking and working from home. Happiest life ever
Omg I knew you’re Filipino because you used Spoon and Fork 😂
Ah! So that's why!
Ah, I saw that and found it strange.
I'm totally going notice my Filipino co-workers eating now 😂
Philippines ❤️❤️❤️❤️
And the stepping on the bed...Japanese never do that they kneel and avoid stepping on bed or places where they also roll their faces whilr sleeping 🤔 also Japanese meals typically pickled sides 😊 also the morning shower which i notice in the other videos...most Japanese (& Chinese) take a shower only in the evening 😅 but kudos on the minimalist, simple Japanese way of living....very organized & tidy home 💖
The cleaning the sink part was therapeutic. Especially when you said you do it after every meal. 👍🏼
I also love to stay at home on weekends. Wake up late...watch tv, enjoy every meal...and rest.
I work at home as programmer. Stay at my apartment for months without going anywhere at all...
@Lady Jane 😁 happiness is when we say "I am happy", in spite of the conditions...
I work remotely as developer support, it's definitely an adjustment when you come from a public work background. However it's also a slice of peace.
Why?
lol i would love to work remotely. Currently studying programming too so hopefully one day I get to be like you
Bliss!
This was so nice to watch. Good healthy meals, keeping clean, having some me time, all day, alone at home. That's good for the soul
I am feeling so rich in living space and so poor in my appreciation of it.
Thank you for the reminder❤️
It's so amazing to see someone on the other side of the world who is so similar to me :) It gives me a great sense of peace that my little routines are shared by others! I love being at home on my days off and making nice little meals while watching tv. You have such a cute apartment too. Many good wishes from the USA ^-^

New to your channel! My current introverted life brought me here LOL. This was very nice to watch. I, too, enjoy the simple things.💖
What a simple and admirable life.... So calming... Since you live by yourself, can I make a suggestion? Maybe you can go for hikes, take long walks, visit new places on weekends. I just feel that you might get lonely being inside your house. But I love your channel. New subbie...
I also like staying at home in weekends and making food for myself

I have watched some of your videos and just found out that you’re a Filipino, glad to know a youtuber from Japan. #proudtobepinoy #usa
I’ve just finished watching all of your videos after being recommended the latest one by UA-cam. You have such a positive influence on myself and so many others with your relaxing content that reminds us all to take life slowly and appreciate all the little things.
I often feel anxious about work and your day in the life videos have reminded me that work is only part of our day and we can do so many things to make the rest of it happy and fulfilling. 💜 Thank you!

Oh my sweet Jesus! I have just realized... your apartment is exactly like the one I used to live in when I was in Kyoto. It was called Leopalace Luna.

I admire of your way in life . Although you live alone , you don't prevent yourself from eating all meals . Keep going
i love how simple but very detailed her videos are.. so minimalist 😍😍😍

Как здорово, что случайно попала на ваш канал. Очень интересна Япония, японский народ, для меня вы просто космос, Но глядя на ваш быт, я понимаю как мы похожи, у меня примерно также проходил день, пока не было мужа и ребёнка. I love napping but unfortunately it also depresses me. When I wake up I feel melancholy. Instead, I just get to bed early.

Hi I just learned about your channel like a month ago, but I absolutely love it. Do more on the cooking stuff because I enjoy watching you cook. It’s relaxing
Your videos are truly amazing! I love watching them
Your bed looks so comfy.😴😴😴
I need this positive vibes after all my defeats.
It's always nice to see someone in Japan for work. studying and embracing the culture. Just by the way she uses her utensils to eat katsudon, I'm guessing she from the Philippines or elsewhere nearby. Great videos by the way.
I Love your videos!! I stumbled upon one and now I've been binging. They're so relaxing to watch! ~Love from England!
So you’re not Japanese then, learning the kanji and such? How are you finding learning? What do you do for work there since you aren’t native? I’d love to live there.
I would love to learn some of those recipes 😍 I love noodles and rice dishes 😍
I know this is near 2 years old, but it's 115 degrees (F) here and I am so terribly envious of your rainy skies and open window!
Just only today I found this channel. Loved it, subscribed. Gonna watch all past videos. 😊
Normal day for me as a lonely person, the silence in the video felt very familiar, so different compared to most vlogs.
girl i love seeing this but a word of caution maybe next time dont allow your id to be so clearly in the video!. jsut for safety reasons.
Omg.. i love her house. Look so comfort and cozy. 💕
These videos are so calming to watch. I like her minimalistic lifestyle.
I enjoy your videos!
Do you ever prepare extra food and heat up another day? (Leftovers).
For instance, when I cook pancakes, I make several and put a few in the freezer, to use as quick breakfasts on other days.
(I mostly eat at home, and I love my leftovers!)
Yes I also prepare extra food and heat up leftover food😊
I LOVE your videos ...you seem like an absolutely lovely young lady...I hope you continue to make content...I was wondering what you do for work... blessings
This video is honestly so soothing!🥺💞
It was so nice to spend this relaxing day with you. Thank you.
Just gonna ask since I couldnt find it in the comments... dia she just straigth up drink BOILED water?? Could have sworn she was gonna make some tea or something
It probably cooled then sh drank it why
Are you asking why she doesn't make something out of the boiled water? Well it's normal if it's already a habit. Just like drinking your usual water but a warm one.
It could also be because her tap water is bad... she mentioned getting a water filter for that sink in another video but here she doesn't have it yet.
Its normal to boil water before drinking in most Asian countries, if you straight up drink from tap, good luck to your tummy.
@@Mouliuable that does clarify things, thx a lot
Curious to know if you're actually happy living life like that on your own or if something depressing happened in the past because I can see that you say a lot about struggles in life and living.
And also found out you have a husband from one of the video and couldn't see him in any of your videos of you guys happily enjoying a day.
I hope everything is fine, wish you the best.
I love your blog. Cheer!
This comment i feel related to me somehow. Living overseas i feel rejected by people just find it so alone, struggling and depressed
Konjengbam Lilima they are having a long distance marriage and they married 3 months ago. She says in one of her more recent videos. She is also into Marie Kondo’s style of living (minimalism, simplicity, appreciating the little things in life etc) etc so I think she is happy with her lifestyle :)
Living without the husband is a waste of life/time.
Metalhead goes Vintage I think it’s admirable and shows her strength and independence which is vital for a healthy relationship. Too often couples become consumed with each other and they end up over-relying on each other to make the other happy. It’s unfair to put all that on one person and it’s not their responsibility either. Your relationship with your SO should never be the most important thing in your life. You need a balance of friends, family, alone time, fun, hobbies etc. I’m not sure I understand why she is wasting her time at all. She has a career and is living in Japan. She’s got a budding YT channel. How exciting! She’s clearly young and has the next 50 years to enjoy spending time with her husband :) There’s no need to be critical because you don’t understand or agree with her decisions. Just be kind! Be supportive.
I just saw in one of her videos that she is working on her husband's visa, so I guess he is not there yet. I think we can all benefit from trying to take better care of ourselves and destress.
Aww your videos are so lovely! I'm really enjoying them 😁
This lockdown I'm binge watching rhea's channel for peace and comfort !
