The emotions I felt seeing Jerma tear up on stage are indescribable. For how long he's been doing what he's been doing, seeing him brought to the verge of tears while fighting the overwhelming urge to cannibalize the audience is simply horrifying.

I know there are annoying gatekeeping gremlins in every community and jerma is no exception but let me just say I cried a little bit reading your comment. I started watching him when I was 12, in 2012, and his content and fan base just mean so much to me :,) I’m so glad to hear he’s still making life more and more special for more and more people, just like he has mine.
Jerma really is the people's champion. I just hope that when he was referring to the audience, he also meant the people watching along at home. A lot of streamers I like watching weren't even nominated for anything, much less names I've never heard of, and they deserve praise too

Genuinely, he has helped me through so many tough times by just being a silly and genuine guy, not even mentioning the wonderfully creative things he gets up to. He is a gift to the platform and nobody else is doing what he is doing. He has worked so hard for years and I'm so glad to see him getting recognized for it. He deserves this more than anyone :)!!
He's a fantastic entertainer. I feel like he exploits the genre of live entertaintment to the max. Im so happy that he gets to do what he genuinely loves and makes a living out of it. I hope he still gets these silly cool ideas and keeps trusting his talent for more experimental stuff (dollhouse, christmas, etc)

Jerma has not only changed my life.
But honestly saved it a few times.
I've been jobless and mentally broken for years due to being raped and tortured by people i thought where my friends.. and i just am not cut out for this world..
But I want to be.. I want to be an actor.. I want to direct action movies and change the world through inspiration.
Currently I'm dealing with a lot. but everything else has been worse for me.
I really just want to say thank you Jerma because you make me realize that its okay to be myself. And i will be honest.. i need help starting my life and getting to be what i want to be.
I don't have friends.. and I hate social interaction. But that's why I want to inspire people.. people like myself who are hurt.. and help them reduce the hardness of their shell.

It’s crazy to imagine what this must be like, having essentially coworkers watching what he gets up to when messing around in his room. He’s really made me more comfortable in my skin and the idea of being exposed to people in terms of “weirdness” and being “too silly”. I hope he knows how appreciated he is ❤

I really expected them to just show clips of his newer, non-zero budget, big spectacle streams. Now, don't get me wrong, I love those streams, but seeing clips from 10+ years back with his tf2 and gta videos, Jerma rumble, various one off videos, and the one and only EGG gave it sincerity that took me off guard. A good and proper tribute to a man who has always poured his energy into entertaining for the sake of it, no pretense or ulterior motive. Crazy that his work has affected my life and so many others for this many years. Whether he goes for another 20 years or calls it quits tomorrow, I wish him the best. Jerma is legit objectibly the best thing in the streaming world right now, he has an amazing personality, extremely funny and actually talented with the best events on the platform.
Jerma is the only streamer I watch. He’s such a genuinely kind, funny human that he deserves all the awards. Truly an incredible human. Chaotic but compassionate.

I think what makes Jerma so deserving of this award is his humbleness. Never for a second is he even jokingly bragadocius. Never for a second does he take his position for granted. Never for a second does he forget the people that brought him to where he is now. Yes, he has innovated in the world of streaming, and his content is some of the most unique on Twitch, but deep down, he is a genuine and kind soul, and I think that's something that's pretty rare in the streaming industry.
I never really understood the appeal of jerma, and why his fans loved him so much. I don't use twitch or twitter a lot, and I don't know a lot about Jerma, so that kinda explains why. But watching this made me in a strange way relate to him so much lol. If there is even a shred of chance that I someday pursue something similar, I hope I am even a little bit creative or respectable or just... likable like him and the community is even a little bit as nice as this one, cuz you guys are awesome.

I will never stop loving Jerma. He is one of the few streamers who can truly capture my attention and entertain, and even in that select few he is leagues above everyone else. He is so genuinely funny, creative, and simply wholesome. I believe he is the greatest streamer of all time and I will not stop following his endeavors until either he retires or I am dead.

It’s been a cold, dark, depressing, scary, and lonely couple of years for myself and pretty much the entire world. I found Jerma at the very end of 2021 with his try not to laugh challenge and his positivity, creativity, and goofiness helped me through a lot. In a world where selfishness and cruelty seems to be rewarded more than anything, it’s so nice to see a kind humble guy get recognized for all the joy he brings to us.
