Just the right amount of restoration, not to much so you don’t want to use is but enough so it still looks good. Well done. Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺

Να είμαστε πάντα καλά και όλα θα τα καταφέρουμε με υπομονή, επιμονή και πολύ μεράκι!!!
Great job restoring this! I would also know the color you used? Im gonna restore mine matodor 160 soon and i really liked the color you found.
Simple law of physics; never, ever use plastic or glass containers for hot bluing.
Otherwise, a well done restoration. A vice anyone would be proud to have on their bench.
Thanks Shed Man X ,I didn't expect the oil to heat up so quickly !
Complimenti molto interessante
Domanda: cosa è quelle pasta chiara che spalmi sul metallo?
Grazie mille, questa pasta rimuove il vecchio colore.
Do u prefer swivel vise or non swivel? I mean with rotatable base.
I prefer with swivel base.
I wonder if you could share what paint/color you used. Do you know if it is the same as the factory color,or «just» close?
Also, what kind of oil did you dip it in?
Last, would it not be a good idea to temper the screw after this to ensure that it’s not getting brittle?
The color is the closest I could find, I couldn't find the same one even though I had a piece with me. The oil is engine oil and I mostly did it to paint the screws and not to harden them.
@@restorecreate And what is the color / brand name?
Does your vise have a jaw alignment system? If yes, could you demonstrate it? Thanks.
Slav Kochepasov ,the jaws are integrated into the vise.
Did you polish or did you just use the edge with your angel grinder?
Im restoring the same vise here in Sweden as we speek!
I used just the angel grinder with 240-800 grid of sandpaper.
I'm doing the exact same vise currently. Where did you source the paint and decals?
After the paint remover,i took a piece of the color and i went and made the same color, and the decals with a photo from the internet i went to a sticker shop and made new decals, but there are not 100% the same.
Awesome! Thank you for the information! Another question; does the main nut just sit in place? The “adjustment” on mine doesn’t lock it into place; it stays loose.
