- Whaz UP my dear boys and girls it's your PRB12 here and WELCOME to another review of Pokemon horizons! And this Time we finally uncover the mysteries surrounding Arboliva aka the guardian of the paldea forrest! But even though the focus should be on the main story of Black rayquaza....
...oddly enough the most interesting part , but also the most unexpected part was a focus on RVR member MOLLY...because she has a lot of resemblances to DAWN & SERENA?! WTH?!

I went into this episode expecting it to be about Rayquaza, Roy, etc. but what I DIDN'T expect was a Molly focused ep and ...it was ACTUALLY AWESOME!

The conversation between Molly and Liko really did remind me about what Dawn and Serena went through.
Hey, bud. How about making video about possibility of the return of Ash Ketchum in Horizons? If it happened - I’m really praying for if he will return in HZ, return of his personality from XYZ. To somehow smooth edges over after the last 6 seasons.

@@aliastheabnormal Couple reasons. First- Gen 9 has chances to end in the year 2026, to the 30th anniversary of Pokemon franchise. And it will be a suitable time for Ash’s return for several episodes. Second, I already said that - To somehow smooth edges over after the last 6 seasons.
Mollie just made it clear she's a nurse joy but instead a travelling one. The fact that she mentioned that she came from a long term family of doctors working at pokemon centers and bound to be one yet rejected it. The punk look fits her well too, never thought i'd see a joy lookin like that.
Tbf to Liko, Dot's regular personality and how she is as Nidothing are vastly different. She might have not had the best look at the costume either to tell if it's the same exact one, given how high up it was and how mentally busy she was at the time.
I'd probably assume fangirl too tbh, like what are the odds that she'd be living with the content creator she so admires?
I feel this episode was decent. I like the strategy the kids used to distract and topple Arboliva (tbf here to Arboliva here too, it was upset over the forest so might have been lashing out at them more over that than general distrust of humans, since it sounded like last episode, Brassius knew that Arboliva), the second Ancient Ball raises some questions, and getting some background on Mollie was nice. It also seems like it's possibly setting up for more next episode, given how the preview shows a woman who looks a lot like Liko, presumably her mom, so we might be getting more information there. (Maybe if she knew someone would come after her daughter? Since she did hire RVT as bodyguards.)
One of the things I really like about the new pokemon anime is that the adults here are finally taking responsibility and protecting the children.
Of course, I didn't care when I was a kid myself but growing up it kinda bothered me so it's nice to see the kids getting treated like ones meaning they receive the protection and guidance they deserve

I really enjoyed this episode, especially since it gave us some backstory and focus for Molly. Also, I'm looking forward to how the plot with Titan Arboliva and the forest will conclude in next week's episode. Anyway, I give this episode a 8/10.
I really loved this episode!! Seeing the bonding between Liko & Mollie was great, and the message of how you don't have to have a set goal or path in mind for your future *regardless* of whether you're a child or an adult. Hearing an older character like Mollie say that she hasn't planned out her future was SO nice to see :'D On top of that, I was surprised to see another ancient pokeball??? Like I don't know if this is just a me thing but I honestly never expected there to be more than one of them, so it pleasantly surprised me and I'm shocked people aren't talking more about it! Also I wonder if Roy's story is going to start going in the direction of seeking out more of these ancient pokeballs across the world, and can act as like a set of trials that lead up to finding and capturing the shiny Rayquaza once he's properly earned it? Anyway, wherever this new show decides to go I'm really excited to see it!! I can't believe we're only 11 episodes in with how much has already been established and how attached I've grown to these characters already-- it's so good!!!!!

Nemona left because she will use her Final evolution of by fuecoco to make it worst at the forest. But her brother also have a fuecoco as well.
I was surprised Dot was going to tell her outright she's Nidothing. Of course Liko has Ash level dense when it comes to this
there was at least one episode (maybe 2, i think one was during Unova, and another before) where Ash encountered a "field nurse Joy" a nurse Joy that didn't have a Pokemon Centre ....i think in the episode the area where she was was really rugged, isolated with many wild pokemon but off the beaten path, so few trainers, no need for a pokemon centre (which is for caught and trainer pokemon) and not really for wild pokemon to use on their own
you could see there are definitely call backs and ties to Nurse Joy (lots of pink, Chansey, being the nurse and motherly caregiver figure in the group), but i like she isn't just a nurse Joy out of uniform, a surly look, concerning nature, cares for others which may be a little stressful and tiring (plus she appears to be an older character, younger than Ludlow, probably similar to Murdock, maybe a little older than Friede, and older than Orla), this (as an older fan) is appealing to me
in every world, you need doctors to treat patients in the hospitals, and others who go out there and treat them in the field....she's a field nurse, and i like that
I like how when Molly saw wooper, she immediately jumped in and stood her ground and not just for Liko and Roy but even the wild pokemons !
She's chill but can be serious when the time comes, the grew on me really fast.
It makes me excited to see the others, Friede also seems to have a similar problem too, maybe they all "outcast" ?
(Maybe not the right word but like, they chosed to be different, kinda like one piece where they aren't just comrades but almost like a family)
Could those ancient balls leads to area zero?!!
Honestly I don't mind that Molly's story outshined the rest of the story, while yes, it's kinda upsetting that we didn't get forest garden lore, it made me hopeful about one of my biggest fear about the new anime, that's the rest of the Rising Volt trackers would get less focus than liko, roy, and friede. Seeing this episode makes me hopeful the rest of the members will get more background about them too.

I'm glad we got to see Nemona in this episode as well even if it was brief in just guiding them to the Arboliva's forest. Although I Really Do Hope that in the future that Nemona will extend her Invitation of a Future Battle to Roy like she did in this episode Towards Liko as well; Liko has SO much more Battle Potential than Roy, if only Nemona got to see Liko battling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I do have to admit that getting to see a bit of character background on Mollie felt kinda nice too; as she and Liko both have in common on both setting out on adventures to find what their future goal is/will be.
I got a theory, ep 13 or 14, Roy Will fight Nemona, why i think of that? Simple, ep 11 Nemona says "next time we meet each other lets battle", i think they will keep Nemona promise and make ep 13 or 14 Roy fight agaisnt Nemona

Maybe Nemona will show us her over starter Pokémon fuecoco final evolution. In a future episode. Roy fuecoco decided not to evolve but he wanted to be strong as Charizard.😊
Nemona is probably bugging King Kai to train at his planet alongside Goku.
The only interesting thing about this episode is the reveal that there are more than one ancient poke balls as it will probably be important for the story later on down the line. Everything else was just there to fill up space. Liko's conclusion to the connection between Dot and Nidothing was also quite funny though and reminiscent of Ash but that's pretty much it.
Yeah kinda true, but I still enjoyed the character moments of molly since I was worried that they will just sideline ever RVR member that isn't Friede.
But overall this episode really was uneventful even though it was supposed to be a continuation of the Rayquaza mystery story.
Fun Fact: Mollie is voiced by Lillie's and Miette's (2nd) Seiyuu!

I hope the "Liko thinks Dot is a Nidothing superfan" doesn't last very long the reason why I love Liko is because she was different from Ash and removing that ruins her for me
I also love when you said"I know guys" you show Serena being disappointed by Ash
Damn that was in teresting ending... don't remember if there was any time an episode ended on a cliffhanger like that that wasn't the clasic "evil team arc" that past series had back in our days

It would be SOOO cool if the explorers would have rankings like the 12 Kizuki in demonslayer. The lower six and the upper six. 6 is the weakest and 1 is the strongest. This would been really interesting and just image the strongest from the explorers has a darkrai or something 😳
Molly made me think of wasted potential with brock which sucks because he could have become a traveling pokemon doctor , Unless he was already one. please someone let me know if I'm wrong
If I recall correctly according to the Arceus special, Brock is still a doctor in training within a Pokemon Center facility, but only goes outside on his flying car whenever he does house visits.

I guess that explains the Chancey. Molly a Joy? Guess Brock won't be helping her probs anytime soon considering what he's like. Not to mention, seems all Pokemon Centers don't run some sort of a drive and it has to be company policies holding everyone back. I can empathize.
For the love of god writers please don't make her a coordinator we've got enough coordinators

Definitely a solid episode, even though it lost a lot of points by baiting Nemo and then just letting her leave! >:(
That of course left more screentime for Molly, which in the end was a great choice, but still ... couldn't Roy have vanished into the woods instead, and come back at the end of the episode? Or not, who cares.
And Molly's Backstory as it is far is one of the most interesting in the series, even though it's not clear if she was trained as doctor, when her design is clearly supposed to remind you of Nurse Joy. Not to belittle Joys, but that has always been a clear distinction, and if she wasn't a Nurse, why would she not want to go into a Pokemon Center? Liko's assumption that it reminds her of her past could be wrong, but I doubt they'll add much of a twist there.
I also liked that the story in the forest seems to be a small arc (like they should have done in Journeys!), and the scene between the rest of the crew back at the Airship.
But they really need to get into gear with the battles... so far they have been okay at best, but more often boring or stupid.
"Oh, I should watch my pokemon ... That's right, I could use the ONE other attack it has that is valid in this situation ... twice!"
I really do hope we will get more Nemo, because I'm really tired of them cockblocking us in regards of Nemo screen time. XD
Tbh at least this time I didn't really mind the Roy scenes since they have been kept rather short and there wasn't really anything that personally stood out to me for it to be shortened or even cut out completely. Even the Liko/wild pokemon conflict as overused as this trope already is, at least was important to show Molly in "action" while also further showing her motivation of being a nurse.
But since we're on the topic of Molly: I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT! not only because it was interesting, but mostly because it actually and FINALLY gives the other RVR members that aren't Friede some much needed screen time! If these people are going to be constant main support characters of the show, we have to get to know them better (also can't wait for the Orla focused ep!

i wouldn't be too hard on Liko, there have been characters who dress up as pokemon in the anime since the Lighthouse episode (Kanto) and in the game since the Pokemoaniacs of Hoenn, and the internet thing has existed in the Pokemon World since at least Serena's videos, and this game gave us a streamer...i'm sure there are Pokemon Cosplayers in this world, those who dress up (maybe conventions, maybe websites) who dress up as their favourite pokemon, or personality/trainer
Though I doubt it would happen, I like to see collab between gurumin/nidothing and nanjamo/iono

Tbh I didn't want to do rating yet since it's a brand new Gen with brand new characters, so that's why I wanted to do the same and just try something new, but without changing my style too much like e.g. no ratings, I actually change bg music depending on the scene/situation and even though it's Hella risky: I even input more clips from the anime into my reviews while in the past I tried my best to Not do that ^^

I feel like the purpose of this episode was to develop a character over plot do I'm not all that diessapointed.
It seems Horizons is slowly getting away from the epicness it got from the first episodes. I hope the writers we’re not being influenced by unnecessary fanatics.
I think the epicness was more so to grab the attention of new viewers since it was a brand new anime with totally different characters and now they're contracting more on story telling and establishment of characters.
But I do hope that the epic moments will make a return soon!
