How about having a charity dinner event where a certain barrel just so happens to be in attendance and perhaps just might be partaken of during the evening.

That's perfect. You're selling tickets to an event. Have the baRREL with a tap so you can enjoy, and there is no crime against sharing with friends.
Here's an idea to work around the Louisiana ATC rules. Why don't you host an annual mega crawdad/shrimp boil where complimentary whiskey is served. Fifty-five gallons of whiskey could serve 1,700 folks drinking four ounces each leaving two extra gallons of whiskey that'll either be absorbed by the barrel, spilled, or left over for the next annual fund raising event. Call it seed whiskey😉.
At $50 a ticket, you'd gross $85K less expenses for hosting the boil. Also, if all proceeds are going to charity, I bet most of the items needed for the boil would be donated as well thereby eliminating you incurring any out of pocket expenses.
If I lived closer, I'd attend that type of event, but it's too far for me to travel to Louisiana cajun country.
This is probably the best idea. Would be cool if anyone who was an LA lawyer would be willing to figure out what the line was, so stale could walk it.
I love the idea of a charity event that is BYOB...and the barrel just happens to be there. 😊

Yeah i assumed from the first mentions of possibly bottling and reselling the barrels contents would be a huge obstacle. Id assume everyone would do this if they could. I think to sell the liquor as your own you have to have some sort of tracking of ingredients and things like that which couldnt be done in this fashion. Best bet would be to have a charity event and use this as the alcohol thats “given away for free” as long as the person has drink tickets or something similar

Once you bottle the barrel it has to meet (the pre packaged goods requirement) standard .. however,hosting an event , selling tokens and then using token to obtain a house drink is not illegal. I guess if the drinking glass is in the shape of a novelty bottle ……🎉
Maybe you can auction off a "Stale Kracker" experience for the kids that includes a swig from the barrel, where it's not focused on the barrel but you can include it in person. I think everyone would know what it's for without you needing to specifically saying it.

don't see why you couldn't take it to a whiskey distiller and have them distill that bare'elle and bottle it with your name on it, raffle em off, the right distill you could tighten up the proof some.. age it in that same bare'elle after you charcoal the interior of it, why not? give it a 30 day steep in the old infinity.. bottle it up, generic style, the old white label .. you could run it again and add a little water, make it special ..
honestly I think that'd be a hoot! run it again then pour it into gallon moonshine jugs with cracker printed label .. all sealed and all legit .. not sure what they would charge to run that bare'elle again then bottle and label it? but it can be done, prolly have to have the distillers name on it for sure but that's OK it be like OG Cracker Bare'elle run or whatever.. ask around at the very least you can sell the bottled run locally or the distiller can sell it, cut the money up for the kids.. something like that?

Im from Texas and I work for habitat for humanity. And there are affiliates that will do fundraising with beer and alcohol here and we can’t sell it either BUTT if people wanna make a donation to your charity then you GIVE them a drink or a bottle.

I don't drink any whiskey from a plastic bottle, don't get me wrong I drink bottom shelf whiskey, but the bottle has to be glass. Hopefully you can raise some money for a good cause with the infinity barrel.
what you can do is, do a givaway or sell tickets whatever you want.with bottles of your infinity barrel in a bottle that looks like a bottle of whiskey off the shelf. That will work. they do it all the time. Just put what you want in the bottle.
