This man captured my heart at a very young age, he haunts my dream's with that beautiful face and piercing eyes! He soft spoken, perfect speaking but yet so full of passion and life and wanted to share it with people everywhere he went and every day of his life! I truly wish I could have met him in a pub somewhere, just to have a conversation with him and to look him in the eye. He has been my favorite actor for decade's❤
One of The Best actors Ever. Very underrated. Too many made fun of him on talk shows because of his drinking. I could go swimming in his gorgeous blue eyes. Very sexy, gorgeous face. Awesome sense of humour. So bloody talented. And gone way too soon. Perfect music for this tribute.
Olly Bolly, you are to be congratulated on your tender and touching tribute to a fine man and wonderful human being, I applaud your disinterest in his drinking and carousing, there was so much more to the man as those that truly knew him would agree, God bless you both.
Congratulations! I first saw Olover Reed in The Curse of the Warewolf when I was very young. It left an impression on me. I'm sick of seeing all those clips of when he was drunk. We all have our demons.
there was much more to Oliver Reed than just being a drunk. In fact he wasnt that at all.......................................an artist of the first rank and a man who revelled in excess as an expression of his joy in life.A great man.
"Do not go gentle into that good night - Rage, rage against the dying of the light." Reed had a charisma & gravitas that no other actor ever came close to - less than a handful since the very beginning of film made convincing intelligent but dangerous men (the very best male archetype of all). When casting for Proximo, Ridley Scott lamented that "there are few Robert Shaws now" .... Scott knew the rarity of the breed & managed to land the only man better for that role. Alas, "there are no Oliver Reeds anymore".
A great actor, and a true professional, one of my heroes..... I would have loved to have met him, ........ if there is an after-life, he would be at the top of my list with Sid James... God bless you Olly....
Alcohol dependency to the side, Oliver Reed was a mega talented actor and one of life's true characters. A truly talented man was Mr Reed and always convincing in his roles. RIP, Mr Reed. Thank you for your films.
alcoholism is such an awful disease which I also have been battling myself for many years, and is sad as it holds you back from fulfilling you true potential by far! so imagine how much my more of a genius he would of been! The late great Oliver Reed gone but never forgotten! now R.I.P u are now free! ✌
one of the greatest 'presences' in screen history...and he went out the way he would have wanted to. in the place that he is gone, we shall have a drink together someday
Few tributes bring an unexpected wellspring of tears. Didn't realize how much I missed him and his profound talent until I watched your compilation. Bravo and thank you.
Great actor, great artist, great talent and greatest legend of '70 and '80... I grow up with his movies. Thank you for beautiful moments and imagionation that you provided!!! Once more, thank you Olly
He died too young there was still so much left on the table he was an extraordinary actor come back oliver and show today's young how to act they could certainly use a lesson
A really nice tribute to a very interesting man and actor. A great looking guy who had a strong persona and always the scene stealer. A very versatile and talented actor who was always convincing. I loved him- one of my favourite British actors. Thanks for putting this together
Oliver was a man who had lived a life to its fullest - a bit too much from time to time. He was making a new rise with Gladiator, only to die before his prime.
thank you for this great post, for putting it together. I've heard a lot of people criticising Oliver lately. It boils down to this. The man lived his life as he wished to live it, and that's the end of it. A talent we will not see again. Thanks for a superb post.
Seht euch die Trailer im jou toube an leise weht der Wind des Todes eine Wahnsinns Rolle für Oli und die Musik dazu von florence besser gehts nicht mehr ihn zu sehen ist wie eine Sucht
he went out the way he wanted,he would visit the graveyard in churchtown at dusk to watch the rooks nesting,it was near to his passing maybe he felt it was time to settle,LEGEND HE MADE THE AIR MOVE
i love you oliver reed and always will your wife if she had really loved you would have helped you to quit drinking i know your fans would have done what they could i really missed you oliver rest in peace xoxoxoxo
He burned SO bright and flew SO fast and high, but like Icarus flew to close to the sun lost in the glory of flight. RIP Oliver Reed. You will always be MY Athos.
''There are artists who can wrest us up, & place us into themselves. These, These are the 'One's' who continue to wrest us up... Even beyond Their rests in peace!'' -gilpin 9118
Yes in his best moments.....he did make the air move. It is such a shame that drink made the fool of him. He was great, but could have been so much better..........To lose him in the middle of Gladiator is tragic.
