As a realtor, you MUST mention or demonstrate two things to a client looking at Maricopa. 1) highway 347 during commute hours. Between 6 and 9am heading North, between 3 and 7 heading South into town. If people are going to commute, they need to know what they're in for. 2) the smell. Yes, the feed lots have sold and will eventually be gone, but the egg farm isn't going anywhere. Particularly when the temperature drops, the smell is unavoidable everywhere in town. Some of us, especially those of us who grew up with the smells of the country, it's fine. For city dwellers, they will groan and complain incessantly. Oh, and bonus 3) your utilities are going to be considerably more expensive than in The Valley. Global Water and Electrical District #3 are your main utilities, and they're pricey.
@@LivinginArizonaOriginal your Wright on other than 347 rush hour traffic no complaints 👌 everything isn't going to be perfect when buying a home especially if you have kids. If you're raising kids Maricopa is perfect
Good to know! We're moving from freezing Idaho to Maricopa cause we were so impressed with how welcoming and family friendly it is. And yes, the housing prices are great! They've come down a lot even since your video! I didn't even know they had the dark sky ordiance there, so neat ✨️
Holly cow! You guys are going to love it here! Welcome to our beautiful sunny state! Yes, the home prices have dropped dramatically which is amazing for home buyers. If you guys need a guidance on your move here to AZ in purchasing a home I am always here to help! :)
Been here 10 years mad I didn't move to Maricopa sooner very family friendly especially if you have kids growing up perfect place 347 getting to the city or back to Maricopa during rush hour is a beast tho be ready for that other than that I love it 😀

Been living in Maricopa since 2008. Love it here! The city feels very small, yet has some amenities like Copper Sky that makes it feel much bigger. Not to mention city hosts awesome events like Great American 4th. But seriously people are great here. The way the community comes together for people when they are need reminds me of the Midwest.
@BryanSnider - Thanks so much for your input! I appreciate it. We currently live in Laveen. We just offered on a home in Maricopa. This information solidifies our move anxieties. Hopefully we end up sealing the deal & moving to Maricopa. 🙏🙏
@@LivinginArizonaOriginal I lived in Tucson for a few months and I don't miss the heat. I did like some of the things there that I experienced. Can't imagine enjoying anything in Phenix with the overcrowding and even hotter temps. The older I get the harder it is to take the heat.
We lucked out getting a 2000 square foot home for under $360,000 here back in march. Same home in Phoenix would have been well over 400,000. Now prices are cooling off and even going below but still a good deal.

It's very peaceful place to live, but it's expanding like crazy here.
It is very peaceful, and yes much like the rest of the valley

I don't know why you say the average is 500k and call that "affordable"...there are lots of 300k or less new homes going up listed now.
Yes, NOW there is, where as when this video was created there were not that many under $500k
Thanks for sharing!
Been a much bigger drop since this posting. I am sure it will drop quite a bit more summer of 23'

Never would I live in a overcrowded desert. Not to mention the people that now have taken over the whole Phoenix area

First of all Maricopa is not in phoenix. Secondly don't know who you're talking about having "taken over the city." Sounds racist.
