@@David-fv7zg how would you know how much other people have split in their lifetime? I hope he takes the advice of some of these comments because his technique isn't that great no matter how much wood he's split.Looks like he's standing too far back, and i'm pretty sure I just watched this guy almost swing the axe into his leg as I'm typing this lol.
Enjoyed the felling axe review. Though I have no practical use for one I think I need one. Does your wife share your love of sharp things and chopping s#%t?Maybe you could have a competition?
I got the same axe. It performs well on medium size logs, for large "boys" I use the German splitting maul. Back to Hultafors axe - the bevel of it is not in the center! Who ever sharpened the axe at the factory did a poor job. It does not affect the performance but it does not look nice. I wish I had a grinder to fix it.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience with this specific model. I've had uneven grinds and bevels on axes from both Hultafors, Gränsfors and some other makers, but I've never had a problem getting them replaced. The only maker I've had ZERO issues with so far is Toporsib and Fenix. But as you state, even if the grinds are slightly uneven, it does not affect the performance too much. But if it is VERY uneven, then it'll become a real life problem in actual use. I also agree that the Hult Splitting Axe works best on medium-sized logs, then again, depending on how one defines "medium", heh. I'll pick up a Gränsfors Bruks Splitting Maul in the future. Should be an interesting axe to wield ...
That swing is kinda timed, drop them shoulders and throw that belly back. It's speed and follow through force that really produces.
He has split more wood in a week than you have done in your life....LOL

Really? Almost hacked his leg off. Good thing it wasn't "shaving sharp" 😂
Sticks terrible!
This was your first day in life with an axe?

Quest'ascia è pessima! Si incastra nei ceppi a causa della sua forma.

A file not a grinding stone. $20 and some time will fix that
Yikes
Holz spaltet man am besten im Winter solange noch nass ist.
