As someone who watched this when I'm the same age group as them in the anime (15-16), I agree. One thing that I also like is how none of them are just background characters, that all of them have their own moments which makes it feel more like a classroom.
God, I wish it was like that. For me it definitely wasn‘t a very realistic depiction, but rather how I wish real life could be. It is the ultimate fictional universe, and an antithesis of Evangelion.
The characters confront their personal problems with the support of the others, and got so done with it that they almost have no chance of sliding back into them. (This is a point that other series also have, but here all the students are at peace with themselves after the first half of season 2 (which is why the school festival is so rewarding to see) with many having their episode in season 1, while in other series the characters will struggle for far longer and if they get it at all, find peace with themselves only in the end. (sometimes even after the plot ended))
They also don‘t really develop new problems, which makes the support they provide even more stable and wholesome.
I‘m going back and forth on if this is dangerous (since we always like to reflect certain aspects of fiction onto the real world, and it just isn‘t that way), making peoples lives outside far better (since we could build from inspiration within our circles a similarly supportive atmosphere), or just to powerless to do anything, since it is „only“ fiction.
@@nerdineverythingnerdinnoth4984 I'd argue that the only reason they were able to make peace with themselves was because Koro-Sensei was AMAZING at forcing them every day to confront their flaws and constantly improve. It is a pretty realistic depiction of how students who are supported will succeed and go from being at the bottom to recognizing their own strengths. It isn't that it's not realistic, but most kids don't have a teacher like that, or a classroom where everyone is basically a family.
I like how op1 is like a huge party, op2 is still cheerful but a more subdued, op3 sounds happy but is actually pretty sad if you really listen, and the op4 makes you ugly cry. I like how the ops get progressively sadder

I love how after the Reaper arc, they edited the intro from him facing away to him facing the camera with his true face. Little details like that are awesome.

Like how in the first opening, there's one scene there that shows a little bit of what happened from what you've been through the episodes, and it used to change every episode with the first opening, it was cool.

Not only is Assassination Classroom great for its humor and character development, little scenes like this that show major foreshadowing are reasons why this is one of my favorite animes.

+Yamato Sam well the thing is, remember in season one they had a summer break, and went to the island, in the manga? that makes them go to the fall term (where the Anime is). after certain events happen, I won't spoil, they go on winter break and come back for the spring term (where the deadline to kill him is at). so they were in the term before the island (which I guess you can call the previous spring), then the fall, then the spring. 3 terms. if I'm wrong let me know, cause I don't want to be giving out wrong info lol

Out of all the shows, anime’s, movies, this was the only one that actually made me shed a tear
Its quite beautiful as to why it makes people cry. Some stories are just characters we follow for the thrill, the anticipation of what will happen next? what to them? But with Korosensei, we knew his fate and came to accept it, but as time went on, Korosensei taught them things, great lessons about live love and everything in between. In a way, He was OUR teacher too. So when its finally time to do the deed, it doesn't feel like we're seeing another characters cliché death. It feels like we're saying goodbye to not just their teacher, but ours too. And that's what makes Assassination classroom a master piece in my opinion. Because just in the way that in the final episode the students could almost still hear Korosensei as they read his words, like he's still with them; He is still with us too
I remember vividly that this was the first anime to make me cry.

I love the continueus shot of koro-sensei flaying thru the 365 days worth of the children in the class. One for everyday he spent with them

I am depressed, I just finished re-watching Anatsu Kyoushitsu/Assassination Classroom, i wish they made 365 episodes, one for everyday with Korosensei, if they could re make the anime, and obviously include the original episodes, but with the time gap filled, even with fillers i don't care, you'll understand how i feel right now, i cried, today, literally, when korosensei died, wtf, that ain't fair on us

One out of many things I love about this opening is how at first you see Koro sensei looking at the moon destroyed and the next when he's not there it is whole like it was in the past. Little things like makes me love the opening even more.

Just finished the anime for the first time last week. What made me lose it was when he said “i wish i could see my class one more time” and when he was just so happy about all the pictures he took with the class
Was anyone going to tell me that Isogai, Maehara, Kayano, Karma and Nagisa sing the opening theme, or was I supposed to learn that while watching the opening and reading the English translation as it momentarily showed up on screen?
Hands down best opening in the series.

I always shed a couple tears when I hear that song let alone watch the opening itself, but what really gets me dying is the countdown in the opening... 86 days... Then some episodes later 30 until in the last episode it says 30 mimutes... It's so heartbreaking.
Korosensei is a better teacher than many irl teachers despite being an anime character

i really think these lyrics are from the perspective of korosensei and some parts are from his students thinking about him before they suddenly realise they don't want to kill him and at the start it's like korosensei realising how much he actually cares for his students and how far he'll go for them (like literally would die for them) and now realising this just makes this opening super sad, but the music is so catchy and almost happy and upbeat yet sad at the same time

I feel like the openings are following the story, the first op is more upbeat from them just learning about what they have to do, the second is about them learning to be happy, the third is them questioning whether this is what they want, and the last is about them letting go and saying goodbye therefore moving on to become better people. That's what I thought after I finished the series at least
The art style used in this OP reminds me of the one used for Danganronpa's executions.
