  • Pediatricians, Dr. Ana and Dr. Sami (The PediPals) join the Glaucomfleckens to talk about how they met and started making content through trauma bonding, the need to make sure you get your dosages right with babies, how to balance social media with your day job, and how they deal with negative comments.

Oh my goodness, if you have people upset about deodorant, there are now so many all natural versions, so they don't have to fuss. Routine eye checks for kids are important, but sometimes parents don't have the money. Thank god for the Lion's club in the 80's. I didn't get my first pair until age 8. I was over the moon! I had no idea that grass had individual blades and trees had individual leaves. The world was so detailed and amazing. I can't believe people wouldn't want their kids to see better.

17:30 love these kinds of medical stories, where all people involved get to laugh it off because no one got hurt. Call it a learning experience and everyone gets to move on with their lives.

As always, it was fun and some really good advice in there. That said, you'd think that paediatric is the one area that always runs on full staff, cause tiny humans are so damn fragile when things go downhill! Like .... incredibly way faster than with any adult. Not to mention they naturally have a low capacity for self-regulation, too.

Enjoyed this episode 😊 Also, NPR did another episode on pharmacy benefit managers. The host said her eyebrow was twitching just trying to understand it all. She said the drug companies are starting to run negative ads about the pharmacy benefit managers. She played part of one and it was harsh. I guess they’re tired of looking like the bad guys. Your September vids have really helped me understand some of it.

Sexual dimorphism. When one sex (is) of a notably different visual appearance (than the other). Like the difference in size between Male and female angler fish.

My 3yo had rsv/pneumonia and they called something for us that just had so many drs come in and try and figure out what was best to do. If theh wanted to send ua back to the icu or what. She needed high oxygen for awhile poor girl. Otherwise they were like she is not having trouble.
Now i get to figure out how to pay the bill. Its 68,000 and the hospital is going to give us some assistance. But her damn medicaid lasped but she wasnt added to chip. I did the renewal and usually if we dont get Medicaid we get chip. My other four girls have chip. But no somehow she didnt get chip ugh

Is it possible to get emergency Medicaid coverage? Something of that sort was done for my adult stepbrother in Florida when he had a sudden aortic dissection. He was a student and didn't have any assets or income. The hospital staff handled this.
