I butchered that didn’t I. There was some seating but not like in a traditional church. Just around the columns. There’s enough space in there for 5000 people though 🤯
Enjoyed the video, always fancied visiting Bulgaria. Fyi the lack of seating in the Cathedral is normal for Eastern Orthodox Churches, most people stand when they go to worship.

Thanks for your honest vlog. I visited Bulgaria as a young girl .. but was ‘Sunny Beach’ resort and we did some driving outside that area .. always good to see a bit of local culture. Some beautiful buildings in Sofia. 🙌❤️

Bulgarian here. There are vegan options in the menus in every restaurant on the main street. The vlog shows you just did not make research of the city before going around. Bulgaria in general is an ancient country, existing way before Australia and New Zealand and there is plenty to see and enjoy.
Thanks for sharing, we did zero research before coming 😅 we didn’t expect to arrive in Sofia until only a few days before! But I’m glad we got to experience a bit of it 😊

These Roman ruins were not found then. This is ridiculous! They were as long ad I remember. They were not on display. It was known they are there because Sofia is a very old city. They didn't just stumble upon them by accident
Well that was the info that we gathered from the site with the information placards 😅
@CJ Explores No. This I how you interpreted them. They were uncovered during the excavation and restored for a visit. but they were there and it was known. . If you go on the other side, in the underpass you will see the other remnants of the walls which are integrated in the underpass, which was itself built in the 1970s. The Roman history of Sofia is well documented. They didn't discover it in 2009. Please ha e some respect for historians!

There are many bakeries where you can get breakfast in Bulgaria, typically people in Bulgaria eat banitsa for breakfast. It’s just not the best country to find vegan food

which city do you think is better and more interesting, Belgrade or Sofia?
For us it was definitely Belgrade! BUT, we did only have 1 day there… I bet there’s so much more to see
its similira to Belgrade but much more suddle,organized ,prettier .
We only stayed a little while in Sofia and we’re quite exhausted so probably didn’t give it the best chance to wow us 😅

@@cjexplores Might consider prefacing your vlogs with a skim-through tag on places like Bulgaria with an ancient 7000 year history, remarkable nature, culture and traditions. Looking for vegan food in a traditionally meat culture - but does have vegetarian dishes, and complaining about smoking in a smoking culture is cringe. Dont judge. Peace

You guys went to some terrible and expensive places to eat. There are way better options but I guess your navigation took you to the wrong restaurants.
