*Sorry but my understanding is when turtles look like that they’re already sick. If you see a turtle like this- don’t do this!* Instead call dnr or a local rescue agency and try to pinpoint its location. Algae and stuff is able to grow on them because they cannot submerge (often called bubble butt) which prevents them from feeding right and exhausts them. Even if you remove all of the stuff (which you shouldn’t do because it causes pain for the turtle-they have nerve endings on their shells), it won’t solve the underlying issue of not being able to submerge right. You can see it in the video- a turtle would naturally submerge to run away from a scary creature at the top of the water, but the turtle can’t. It just bobs away to the best of its ability. Not trying to be a buzzkill tho I suppose I am, just trying to tell people what actually to do in this situation.

Wen the turtle was swimming away he was so cute😊
Not all heroes wear capes, some ride jet skis.
As sweet as this is it's important people know how sensitive turtles are and the things stuck to their back can hurt them when being pulled off and cause deadly infections if not properly cleaned....
The salt water should help heal the wounds
Always that one nigga crying

You think they’re better off with the barnacles on?
@@memenazi7078 is that what I said? No, it isn't.
All the people praising this dude helping this turtle. He didn’t help the turtle, he made it worse. Learn how turtles are and get affected. Their shell is not just some form of protection. They feel through it as well and it’s not good nor is okay for the turtle to have those removed. It hurts them
What's worse being hurt for a bit or dieing
We need more people like this in the world!
Did you know there's a good chance the person that made this video glued those barnacles on for the video, and it hurts the turtle.
I have always tried to help animals❤ we needed more people like this
“Past simple… Not so simple”.
This HURTS the turtle btw
He is a good person and I would do the same to save an animals life
Thank you for saving my brother you got my respect
I love human people. Helping animals is very commendable.
If any of this is inaccurate plz lmk, I’m not an expert. This is info I’m trying my best to remember from the turtle rescue in the Florida keys.
Hm. Maybe should have taken it to a wildlife rehabilitation center? To see if it's possible to save its life I mean.
@@Readysetgo2007 this is actually the correct answer!
@@UnoDosTom Yeah... I wouldn't want to leave it like that and call someone and then not know if that someone found the turtle. Better to transport the turtle to the wildlife center yourself if possible.
Haters
That turtle had ONE chance and it worked :D
You got to remember to still be very careful as Turtles can feel what's touching their shell don't be too rough
To balance out the sweet comment section:
HE DESTROYED A CRABS HOME, HE IS A MONSTER. Ah that’s better
Nice
Next time that dude is in the ocean he’ll be hearing “RIGHTEOUS! RIGHTEOUS!” As a token of the turtle’s gratitude.
Thank you for saving a sea turtle guys make sure to help our ocean 💙 ❤️ ♥️ 💜 💕
That might have hurt for the turtle though because turtles can feel through their shells but we need more people like him❤
People who do this for animals are immediately angels and go to heaven :)
what about ones that GLUE barnacle and moss to turtles with super-glue? because thats what this is. those barnacles are OLDER than the turtle.
What it that person immediately turned around and murdered someone
Not according to the bible. This guy is a likely candidate for hell, no matter what he does.
@@digimbyte where is your proof?
is no one going to question the fact that this turtle was harassed by a crab
That was so nice to help him out while he was struggling
I love watching these videos, in fact I have 3 turtles 🥹
We need more people that don’t ignore we need more people like that guy❤😢
He glueed those rocks, filmed it and tore them off, causing the tortoise unimaginable pain.
@@rainyfox2eally? I knew that ripping off the barnacles was a very bad thing but this is even worse.
this made my day... we need more ppl like him to help animals. he could just leave him but he dident and i love animals so this made my day
