Yes, he placed tied 18th with Turkey. Totally undeserved. It should have placed top 5. Considering the lyrics and music, I can say Carlos was ahead of his time with this one. Such a shame.

I just read this poor guy was killed in a car crash. Very sad.
Yeah, August 26th, 1988. All the country mourned him. Even today for the people who was alive then it stills a traumatic loss. And he died one day after a great fire destroyed the center of Lisbon.
For me much better song then song From UK. Portugal deserve to be in TOP 5 .
