The most disrespectful reaction from two mediocre listeners I’ve ever seen! SNSD (Girls’ Generation) has been considered as the Nation’s number 1 girl group and is a true manual of success for the following generations in K-Pop. They have achieved incredible success not only in Korea but also beyond its borders back then!
Exactly I think it’s kind of genius~ The lyrics are all about the different types of love situations and each having their own beats and the song meshes well at the end … it’s so good and they just don’t get it! Lol
The way they're missing everything with I Got A Boy, saying "they didn't even try" when the entire song is completely cohesive if you actually pay attention
I am genuinely curious about you guys' production works. You are the ones who don't even try. You don't research, you don't try to put yourselves in the time and history placement of when the songs were released. You just purely want to criticize without trying to understand anything. These are one of S. Korea's most iconic and important groups ever. And I don't mean just girl groups. I mean GROUPS. In general. Even nowadays, if they comeback, they sell out all through Asia and go to the top 10 on international streamings for at least two weeks. Into The New World set new standards for girl groups. Run Devil Run was a major concept shift, marking their passage from just sweet and innocent songs to more mature concepts. I Got A Boy was an experimental track, and was a massive success. It even allowed for other groups to feel bold enough to experiment as well. Lion Heart was a great comeback to showcase a mix of maturity and innocence. And, if you haven't realised, the "somber" thing is actually explained in the video as well. The guy is a lion heart not because he is awesome, but because he is collecting a pride of lionesses and breaking their hearts. FOREVER1 was a comeback meant specifically to their fandom and themselves. It's their statement that no matter what their solo activities might be, the group is still alive. And it's been so for 18 years now in 2025. They have been important for many circles. LGBTQI+, feminism, politics, artists. Yoona is known as the nation's ideal type. She single-handedly became the standard for visuals in K-pop girl groups. But every single one of them has their special achievements and were important to at least one cultural or political sphere in ASIA.
They are the Number 1 K-pop girl group of all time there's a reason they've done things no other girl group has like having the best selling album of the year in Korea
It's better guys to go listen to adele and leave kpop alone I mean it in the best way You don't seem to understand that kpop is a different style of music
Why do so many people watch these guys make hour long hate videos 😂 "It's not going to win any awards" for a song that's literally an anthem in Korea. ITNW was even used widely again recently during protests just this last year. I feel like if you're just going to hate, it'd be better to at least be a little more informed about what you're watching. And pointing out every member's shoe size doesn't really count as research 😂
I told you weeks ago when they said they wanna react to girls generation, they are not gonna like girls generation 😮💨 You literally just diss a NATIONAL ANTHEM. The first song is sang almost like national anthem back then everytime Korean win anything, they sang this song all together. Like Im not exaggerating, they really did. Maybe do some research on cultural background of the song before laughing at it. Critics on the music is fine but don't laugh and mock it. The song is 17 years old for god sake ofc the quality isn't the same as it is now.
Why can't they mock it? Is this song your religion or something? Don't be silly. And there are much older songs that are much better than this, so I don't know what that has to do with anything.
@xviper2k Give me a korean song of the same era that is musically much better than this. No not from the other country or diff years because that would only be different on musical tools exist to use and whats trendy at the time in that area. The song was produce 17 YEARS ago btw. Its not related to religion but what if I laugh and mock at micheal jackson song saying the quality is not good? What do you think black people would feel? Like I said you can critic the song but respect it at the same time. Just point out what you dislike, point what you like and move on. This is the only channel reacting to kpop that I got offended of out of hundreds that I watched. The other channels dislike some of kpop songs too but atleast they are being respectful about it. Whats even the point of reacting to genre of music you didn't like (still acceptable), refuse to learn and be open minded, laughing and mocking at it and still benefits from the views each time.
@@xviper2kthere are some things criticising them just ends up making you look like the idiot because of how well loved and legendary they are, case in point this song
It's always like that though, nothing these two say or feel will ever matter but people treat these videos like a word from them could ruin a whole legacy
no issues with you disliking songs, but you need to be a bit more careful with older songs and groups. I find it really sad that you're both disrespectful to old songs and holding them up to todays standards. In future, I would recommend acknowledging the date of the songs you review and just doing a tiny bit of research on the cultural/historical impact they may have had just so you avoid embarassing yourself with remarks like "It's not gonna win any awards", when its one of the more important songs in korea today, often used as a protest anthem (it was the main anthem used in protests for the recent martial law a few weeks ago too). Again, just to emphasize, its fine to dislike songs but some effort to avoid disrespecting things that have had a cultural/historical impact for a country would go a long way. Anyways, I haven't really listened to Girls Gen much although I really enjoy Taeyeons solo work since they are more recent ofcourse (for context, she's the leader of girls generation). "Run Devil run", "Lil'touch", "you better run" and "Villain" are their only songs I have in my kpop playlists, since a lot of their work is from older generations of music so its harder for me to get into since I only started listening to kpop with 4th gen (and slowly worked my way back through older gens picking songs I like). Although I'm down for recommendations too if there are more songs that align with the 4 i mentioned 👀
Very good comment! I actually like kpx because it is one of very few channels that have the guts to give negative critique to songs. That is refreshing. But guys @kpx you do need to do a bit more research since you obviously have the ambition to to make a little bit more serious content compared to the horde of (over)reaction type of channels. I guess you spend a few hours on recording and editing. Couldn't hurt to add 30 minutes of quick research and also put the songs in an age context. I'm not a huge GG fan and I do also think that I got a Boy is not worth adding to the playlist. But to say the "this would not win any awards" or that producers didn't put in an effort is both arrogant and ignorant. Back in 2012 this sound was what every k-pop producer was striving for. Big Bang - Fantastic baby or f(x) - Electric Shock are two other great example of how K-pop "should sound" during that time. So, 30 minutes on Google wouldn't hurt. Shoe size and astrology is not research.
I keep watching cause I need to see when the “fan” is a fan. Like this man is just as much a hater as the other. Like the lack of effort from these two basement dwellers with not justifications to the shitty opionions is so funny that it makes the garbage they put on this platform watchable.
It's hard to believe it's not their first time listening to K-pop ever 🤣 i didn't think I'd hear that "into the new world" wouldn't win any award in my life, bruh 💀
Guess you’ve got to acknowledge the year and time most of the music were made !!!! These songs were very groundbreaking so I don’t know how y’all hate them that much
"KPOP Hater reacts to GIRLS' GENERATION" and they didn't like snsd, one of the blueprints of kpop... wow, how shocking. At first it was interesting, but at this point i'm pretty sure they don't know what they are talking about in their videos, and they clearly don't care. Just stop giving these guys money.
@@xviper2k Los únicos que no prestan atención son estos dos tipos que se creen inalcanzables cuando no aportan nada nuevo con sus reacciones, solo bola de estupideces, nisiquiera tienen la calidad que ellos piden
I knew they wouldn't like Girls' Generation because as pioneers of the K-pop sound, they have a dated sound. But, it's the lack of respect and empty pretention that puts me off. I mean, first of all, what kind of music producer looks down on music? I get it, their whole concept is rage baiting, which screams immaturity, but, when it comes to songs like Into The New World, their schtick reveals itself for what it truly is, which is two narcissistic producers exploring their contrarian streak for the sake it... cause it was made in 2007. Cheap instrumentation? No, it's just an old fucking song. Cause, if it was such a bad track, it would have failed. "This is not going to win any awards." Unfortunately, sir, this is THE most important K-pop song of all time. I can't even begin to explain the impact of this song. Forever 1 is super generic, I wouldn't have recommended that to you. It was just a nostalgic 15th anniversary celebration anthem, which sampled ITNW and was made by the original producer of ITNW. I knew y'all we're going to have an aneurysm when you heard I Got A Boy. To be honest, it wasn't created for replay value. It's called the Bohemian Rhapsody of Kpop, because it was meant to break structure and push Kpop beyond. And it succeeded because it single-handedly ended up kickstarting the experimental music wave in Kpop. The song is literally about a group of girls sharing their respective boy struggles, which is why it's called I Got a Boy, each genre change is a new story. Run Devil Run is the song that got me into K-pop. I agree that it's repetitive.....now. Back then, it really really wasn't. So, wondering what producers were thinking when creating these songs, from a 2025 lens, has to be the dumbest thing I've come across. The voice you like is Taeyeon. Just as I knew you'd hate GG, I can say which a 100% certainty that Taeyeon will be your new favourite artist once you've done a deep dive on her. So, you should definitely check her out.
why is this channel still a thing 😭😭😭 like honestly atom is just s suck up to kazinho and ik dam well he pretends to hate it aswell and just goes along with the white guy like befr. and dont get me started on the asian guys hairrrrr like its so bad and his face pisses me off, and i also noticed another thing in other videos is that the asian guy would be like yeah that wasnt bad it didnt amaze me shit like that, and then the white guy would say smth good ab it and then the asian guy would all of a sudden love it and then they go around talking ab the production and shit like then go produce a song thats better then i dont think so 😂
Take the last two out to include Catch Me if You Can and Gee. I don't expect them to like Gee, in particular, but it's the song that got most of us into kpop.
GG is my ult group and the reason I got into kpop. The best part is they have such amazing b-sides. But their a majority of their title tracks are legendary and covered by idols all the time. Also fun fact that Run Devil Run was a Kesha song and then the demo got sold to SM.
No bc i entered this video so enthusiastically bc i'm a multistan and I'm just here for the vibes whatevs, nothing is personal BUT then Kazinho said "that horrid got7 video" i started sharpening my pitchfork
i'm sorry LOYAL TO SNSD FOREVER! Into the new world is literally the 2nd anthem of South Korea and y'all hate I got a boy BUT they shaped what you like in kpop nowadays soo in a wayyy you actually like it jsjsjs
Into the New World - I love how they said it sounds old or "retro." Bro that song is from 2007. It's almost 18. I Got a Boy - SM groups always have one song that is really experimental. You can't say they never try new things. 😂 Lion Heart - This song got me into SNSD. I love everything about this comeback. ❤ Run Devil Run - this song is a bop. You can't tell me otherwise. Forever1 - Songs don't have to be groundbreaking to be good. This song is so fun. They need to listen to Taeyeon.
I recommend you to check out Taeyeon’s solo stuff. She has many albums and started her solo career in 2015, and she is still active until now. She has an amazing and powerful voice, and her songs are always unique and diverse. Her voice is always strong and incredible. She is the one whose voice you commented on in the song “Run Devil Run.” I hope you react to her.
Suuuper happy to finally see this reaction, but here are my thoughts and comments: - The dance break in ITNW isnt actually included in the official track, it's just there to give part of the danceline something memorable as it's a vocal heavy song, and some members would be overshadowed if there wasn't a compelling enough dancebreak in the song, especially given it's their debut. The dance break instrumental is not actually included in the spotify, nor the DVD versions of the song. It did win many awards as well, given it's hopeful message and moving instrumental (At the time) and was used as an anthem in many social justice and human rights protests... Of course, this song was composed in 2006 and released officially in 2007, so the instrumental sounds a little tacky but nonetheless its a very beautiful song for its specific time, but I understand might sound dated now especially to non Kpop listeners, so I get the rating you guys gave. Interesting to see you guys say it dragged on though, for me, I feel like the repeating chorus gives it a good consistency and keeps it stuck in my mind. - For IGAB, I do agree with the production being somewhat sloppy. But I believe if there were available subtitles you'd understand why so much is going on and so much is being done as if it's like 6 songs in one. The lyrics and the theme of the MV and comeback were supposed to emulate the mind of a girl who's finally got a guy, but is afraid to be herself so it's chaos inside her head - hence why so much is going on at every given moment - It's like... Inside out if there was a lot of really weird bpm references (Let's bring it back to 1:40 refers to the BPM of 140 AND the minute 1:40 where the same part repeats in the mv) - I feel like it did it's purpose, and that was to be bold, crazy and uncoordinated in a way that fit the concept they tried to showcase. One other thing is, the intro with all the pink girly stuff and the guy at the door isn't part of the official instrumental or song either, just there to kinda "Whoop we got you haha" kinda thing. Thats all really, Id loooove to see more reactions to SNSD on here!!
Every time I forget about this channel I come back and remember you two know nothing about music. How is there so much SM on this channel and you still can't name Yoo or Kenzie? This channel is also proof that if you're going to react to another country's music you should really know the line between critique and disrespect. The people in the comments aren't exaggerating when they say insulting Into the New World (specifically the way you 2 did) is akin to insulting Korean culture and history. It's the national protest song and also got that way by being sung at women's universities in political protests and women's rights rallies. I stopped watching after I Got A Boy b/c you 2 still don't know anything about production and now you've proven you don't even know basic music theory.
Into the New World - You can hate on any K-pop song but ITNW and Gee, those 2 are just criminal to hate on. Their impact on K-pop is just too great, no one has impact like SNSD on girl groups. I Got a Boy - Fair enough if you don't like this at first, its a lot on a first listen, I didn't either at first, but I prefer the "Let me put it down another way" and "Lets bring it back to 140" than just randomly changing like some songs do nowadays because at least there's some sort of transition there, also as many people mentioned that's the whole point of the song and the lyrics show that, not to mention starting the "experimental songs" we hear nowadays in K-pop. Also after listening to it a lot its really not like 6-7 songs in one its more like 2 or 3 which obviously not everyone will like still but its not as much as people think. Run Devil Run - It may be "Repetitive" because they are saying the same thing over and over but it doesn't get repetitive because, believe or not its actually a great catchy song so it doesn't matter and their vocals are just too good especially in the final chorus, 5 member vocal line is crazy with the best main vocal duo in K-pop history imo with Taeyeon and Jessica, their harmonies and singing the choruses together were unmatched. Forever 1 - This song means a lot because it was the comeback after a long hiatus, so the "Girls we are forever" and "There's no one like you" those type of lyrics mean a lot to sones and it also samples Into The New World their debut song in the bridge, which I think is a pretty cool full circle moment Objectively I just don't know how great you guys are at critiquing these things, saying stuff like ITNW wouldn't win awards is crazy. I'm worried now if they ever react to Gee when that's pretty much the magnus opus of K-pop and pretty much boomed Hallyu in the west back in 2009😭
I'm more of a Wonder Girls fan, but don't understand this song selection... no Gee, Genie, Mr Mr, The Boyz, Catch Me if You Can? I could see them not being too impressed, and there are iconic songs here, but Lion Heart was always an average song and their reunion song had mixed reception. I wish ppl would put these lists together more thoughtfully, it seems a common issue. Anyway, I've been into kpop since 2008, and Gee is one of my fave 2nd gen songs, but I pretty much agree with them. IGAB hasn't aged well (it had to grow on me back then anyway), and I was never into their debut song.
I would die if they reacted to Orange Caramel 😂 but yeah, at first listen I would mostly agree with them, hoping for a second reaction to snsd❤❤ it's my ult group which I have followed since 2011 ❤❤
i see same type of comment every their video but they never learn something. if u don't want to research or learn something about kpop why don't u just leave. when you don't know something and talk like know it well it make you look so stupid. you can't even read or answer a comment. pls just quit doing react to kpop.
Yeah... after months of watching these reactions, this is the hardest one to watch - I have lived and breathed SNSD for over 15 years 😅. Not getting I Got A Boy is to be expected, but it is still a bit upsetting (?) haha. Hopefully you'll react to some of their other tracks (this selection was a bit weird, as it doesn't really show all of their colors - they have tried dozens of concepts that I feel you would appreciate more). But hey, that's the appeal, right? Watching people that have a different opinion on music - even though I absolutely love all of these!
Do yall like anything?? I'm geniunely curious. The last video I watched from this channel was about 8 months ago because I thought it was really irritating that you continued to do videos like this. I found you guys again and went through a few videos. You rarely ever have ANY positive opinions. Just stop reacting to these if you just wanna criticise every single thing when you know nothing 😭😭 I'm obviously not mad about the fact if you guys dislike a song or two but it seems yall just don't like kpop in general...
ITNW is a classic, but I think they chose you so many wrong songs. Like Genie, All Night, Flower Power and Galaxy Supernova are so much better songs. Even Karma Butterfly and One Last Time if you're picking bsides too
Definitely would recommend a revisit to SNSD with the songs Mr.Mr, The Boys, Catch Me If You Can, All Night, and Genie. As for Forever 1, the reason it’s so “basic” is because it was a tribute song to the fandom. It was released to celebrate SNSD’s 15th anniversary. The music video (which I know KPX doesn’t rate on) holds a lot of Easter eggs that only fans will pick up on, and the lyrics are meant to reassure the fandom that even though all of the girls have been off doing their own thing for a while, they are still “Forever one.” It’s sentimental and for that reason it should be a little basic. Not faulting the scoring of the song. Just trying to bring some context 😊

@@xviper2k who're you now? their underling ? i see you try so hard to protect them lol. the reason why they are suck is they never "learn" or do "research" about song or group they reacted to. they never even read the lyrics or focus to the mv but still talk like know everything well. i didnt care if they not like what i like. i didnt say that i like these song too. Boys - you really don't get it do you ? More young inexperienced men trying comment on music you obviously don't understand ... I've been a Musician for 55+ years ... but it does take a trained ear to appreciate what this is and the time of 2nd Generation k-pop this is spot on for 2007. As far as sounding cheap - perhaps you need to upgrade your monitors, it sounds just fine on my studio monitors and on a decent set of phones. Did I mention I'm also an Audio Engineer ? So just some advice from some one who's been at this longer than you have been alive ; Check yourself you don't know as much as you think ... and maybe a little less Snark.. makes you look condescending and a bit arrogant. Food for thought - I'll leave it to the SONEs to carve you up now - Peace.
The reaction they gave for I got a boy was perfect this song reminds me of Bohemian Rhapsody it's like the Bohemian Rhapsody for K-pop I got a boy by girls generation😂❤❤❤ it's just a mixture of everything from every genre you can think of in one song and it kind of works almost to a degree🎉😊
The first song is literally the most iconic gg song ever in kpop tho 😅 it did win a ton of awards aswell and every single group has made a cover of it 😭 let’s remember that this is only their debut and it was released in 2007, idk why so much complaining about the backtrack neither when its just fine for that year lol
Fun fact: Run Devil Run was originally Kesha's song and was sold to SM Entertainment in which they only replaced the vocals. Imo Kesha suited that song better than GG but sounds decent either way.
It's a music criticism channel. If you're so immature that you can't handle the opinions of others even when they clearly explain why they feel that way...then yes, it's rage bait.
@@spectral__ True but i feel like there's some common and objective ground when rating music and I'm not expecting them to rate these extremely highly but I feel its just common sense why they are regarded as the #1 K-pop girl group of all time when listening to them

@ Who regards them that way? Not everyone. That's your opinion and is *not* objective. Many would say 2NE1 is. Or Blackpink. You have massive nostalgia bias. Nothing about any of these songs screams, "best girl group." Honestly, the best thing about them to me is that they don't pander to whiny children who seem to think everything they love is perfect. 🙄
Even though I'm hurt by these "terrible opinions" 😭😂 since this is my favorite group of all time, I do appreciate that you guys still acknowledge the vocals that these girls have! Not everyone has the same taste in music, but something SM excels at is vocals. I will give my biggest disagree on Into the New World since that song sounds simplistic, but it also sounds nostalgic and easy to listen to. Also, the dance break is not part of the studio version of the song, so it doesn't break the cohesiveness of the song. The dance break is mainly just for dance break when performing. The song might sound cheesy but the vocals and lyrics make the song sound powerful.
GG wanted to try every style of music so I see why you guys wouldn’t like them. But you guys don’t understand Into the New World and I Got a Boy. And they did try in I got a boy😭 if you listened (and I MEAN listen) instead of just jumping right into hating. You should see the impact into the new world has today.

Why do so many people watch these guys make hour long hate videos 😂
"It's not going to win any awards" for a song that's literally an anthem in Korea. ITNW was even used widely again recently during protests just this last year.
I feel like if you're just going to hate, it'd be better to at least be a little more informed about what you're watching. And pointing out every member's shoe size doesn't really count as research 😂
agreed. idk why make fun with idol height, mbti, shoe size or even hobby? is it necessary?
Because we are all sadists and want to hear their criticism lol
they’re lowkey act like* a racist ☠️
I told you weeks ago when they said they wanna react to girls generation, they are not gonna like girls generation 😮💨 You literally just diss a NATIONAL ANTHEM. The first song is sang almost like national anthem back then everytime Korean win anything, they sang this song all together. Like Im not exaggerating, they really did. Maybe do some research on cultural background of the song before laughing at it. Critics on the music is fine but don't laugh and mock it. The song is 17 years old for god sake ofc the quality isn't the same as it is now.
17 and half years old*
These guys are hacks... so lacking in knowledge
Some ppl used to call „I Got A Boy“ korea‘s bohemian rhapsody lol
I just know this is going to go terribly 🤣 but I'm afraid whatever they say isn't what their legacy says!

Naahhh 😭😭 Even my friend who hates K-pop passionately likes Girls Generation songs 😭
The guy on the left just deliberately love to hate things ... Come on bro u can't even produce a verse 😂
He's often the more positive one, even though it goes against the channel's concept, so that just goes to show how much you (don't) pay attention.
They also liked Seohyun's vocals, but atp is it worth to recommend them someone like Taeyeon? I rather not

For "Into the new world", the dance break is not part of the full song. So maybe that's why it sounds so jarring.
No, the dance break has always been part of the song.
@uc6758 The actual full song has a shorter dance break that's not the one that's in the music video and it sounds more cohesive with the song.
@@uc6758it’s not as long as in the mv lmao
2nd part with Genie, The Boys, Mr. Mr., You Think and All Night please.
Take the last two out to include Catch Me if You Can and Gee. I don't expect them to like Gee, in particular, but it's the song that got most of us into kpop.
Actually, All Night was a pretty good song, but I kinda forgot what that song was... lol

Lion Heart - This song got me into SNSD. I love everything about this comeback. ❤
Run Devil Run - this song is a bop. You can't tell me otherwise.
Forever1 - Songs don't have to be groundbreaking to be good. This song is so fun.
They need to listen to Taeyeon.
Forever1 isn't meant to be groundbreaking. It succeeds in being nostalgic about all previous SNSD songs and highlights the vocals very well
not winning any awards?? LOL
Old k-pop and SM are the best
i agree TVXQ, Shinee, snsd and many more. love 2nd gene sm artist. So much talent in vocals.
Into The New World is the national anthem of SK. They use it for women empowerment rallies and protests .
Maybe they didn't like sm music style
But i love it, SM music is my style
Every time I want to piss my self off I see their reactions
Suuuper happy to finally see this reaction, but here are my thoughts and comments:
- The dance break in ITNW isnt actually included in the official track, it's just there to give part of the danceline something memorable as it's a vocal heavy song, and some members would be overshadowed if there wasn't a compelling enough dancebreak in the song, especially given it's their debut.
Forever 1 - This song means a lot because it was the comeback after a long hiatus, so the "Girls we are forever" and "There's no one like you" those type of lyrics mean a lot to sones and it also samples Into The New World their debut song in the bridge, which I think is a pretty cool full circle moment
Objectively I just don't know how great you guys are at critiquing these things, saying stuff like ITNW wouldn't win awards is crazy.

Yeah... after months of watching these reactions, this is the hardest one to watch - I have lived and breathed SNSD for over 15 years 😅.

You should also listen to Main Vocalist Taeyeon's solo songs.

Boys - you really don't get it do you ? More young inexperienced men trying comment on music you obviously don't understand ... I've been a Musician for 55+ years ... but it does take a trained ear to appreciate what this is and the time of 2nd Generation k-pop this is spot on for 2007. Why was the boys not in this list 😭
The way I've been waiting for this video, lol. Can't wait to see what you guys think!

@@cedrikewers4684 because #Kenzie (Kim Yeon Jung) is the one who is indeed songwriter and producer behind both of that song #ITNW and #Forever1 . Even in the teaser of forever1 they're also add that intro but everyone don't notice.
Having to pick only a few songs from their 100+ song discography is hard. I agree with other comments that Mr. Mr. or Catch Me If You Can wouldve been better variety. Also, when will you do Taeyeon? She is the lead singer of Girls Generation and she is hitting her 10th year as a soloist this year! If you finally get to her I recommend: I, Why, What Do I Call You, INVU
sounds like you guys would like the kpop group Kara more. their songs have key changes
Coming from a channel with 10k subscribers, i just fwd what their remarks are. Just watching the mvs from the backdrop hahaha
Its ok not to like a song, but the reasons... Is just?
