I would respect your opinions a lot more if you framed them as opinions and not objective truths (which you are since you said one of your opinions was "fact"). It's completely okay and understandable that you personally might not like excessive singing. For someone who really cares about instrumentals, I can understand why that could get a little annoying. However, the vocal melody is what makes Bambi so good for other people. I also happen to really like the instrumental, as do a lot of others. It's personal preference and I think wording it like it's a genuine flaw in production isn't helpful. I do agree with some of what you said for Candy. I've personally never cared much about it and find it a little boring, but that doesn't mean that is objective fact. It is well produced and I believe all of these songs are.

I read a blogger that has reviewed both exo's music and their solo work and constantly stated that while they loved exo's work, their solos always fell short. While I love all the member's and don't fully agree with that assessment, I have a "bad omen" that you won't like their solo work. They all have very different styles from the group music and from each other. Here's how I would describe each member's style to give you a vibe of what to expect. - Baekhyun's music is vocally driven RnB, if you did not like this selection, it's unlikely that you would like most of his discography (with maybe the exceptions of the songs Runner and Young). - Chen is mostly focused on ballads (that are emotional and very well sung but can be generic/predictable specifically in terms of music production). There are some exceptions here and there in terms of the genre. - D.O.'s is mostly bright acoustic "coffee shop" pop, again with some exceptions - Suho's is mostly 90's brit rock (specifically his 2nd and 3rd album). His 3rd album had a David Bowie feel to it. - Chanyeol's album has more of an indie rock vibes - Kai's music is melo/lo-fi RnB and hip hop - Lay's music is mostly hip hop/RnB (his music is my least favorite along with Xiumin) - Xiumin has only one album so far and it was unfortunately really generic (this is coming from someone who absolutely loves him and his voice and wholeheartedly wishes that his next album turns out to be a masterpiece) - Sehun is the only exo member who does not have a solo album yet and only has one solo song.

Maybe they won't like him as much after this but that guy loves to sing, so possibly it's his idea to make so many high notes and so on hahaha in his live shows, in variety shows, etc. wherever he doesn't need to sing he's just humming or singing a song for me it's okay obviously (it's just a theory just in case) 😶‍🌫

Wow, I can't believe someone would say that about Baekhyun! You guys have some really strange tastes sometimes!!! Baekhyun is the best... What do you even know about the savior and king of K-pop?! Singing these days is like a dream for other idols because not everyone can be Baekhyun… Baekhyun is one of the strongest and most popular vocalists in K-pop, known for his soft, emotional voice and incredible vocal range. His delicate runs, flawless note control, and ability to perform various music genres make his singing truly exceptional. He also has incredible stability and energy in live performances, which makes him one of the best performers on stage.

If you don't like him singing too much you should listen to his OTS like my love and so on and definitely don't listen to all i got hahahaha, no but maybe in the albums you like it although I can't give an opinion because I'm a big fan of that voice I don't care much about what's behind it hahaha PS: maybe you like psycho

Just a reminder to everyone going rabid in the comments: music is subjective. Taste is subjective. For example I prefer amazing vocals over amazing production. (While having both is ideal). I love ALL of these songs and I disagree with a lot of what they are saying. (Aka I was flabbergasted by how much they disliked pineapple slice ☠️) But they are entitled to their opinion, you are entitled to yours. I actually completely agree with you when it comes to Candy. Even though I'm a fan of his music, Candy is one of his most generic and boring songs to me. And while I do see your point about him not giving the music the space to breath, I do love UN Village and Cry for Love. PS., I don't think you're going to like the majority of Baekhyun's discography because it mostly has the same elements you disliked in this song selection. The only Baekhyun songs that I think you might actually like are Runner (ft. Raiden) and Young (ft. Loco)

I really love baekhyun, but I see where you are coming from. However, it is his brand as an amazing vocalist and I love all of his songs because I enjoy r&b style which focuses more on vocals than track. If you want to listen to something more balanced, I recommend listening to his other b-sides, soundtrack osts, or collaborations. I'd recommend listening to his collaboration called Hurt with Seo Moon Tak. Also, some of the b-sides on the Hello, World album have more pauses and breaks such as Cold Heart and Truth Be Told which are my favorites. Thanks for the reaction
