Some people they see your collection or others collections and they think “ oh I want my collection to look like that . But they really have to count the costs” space , money , what hits home , patience for price drops , don’t get in a hurry, display shelves etc it’s a lot!
Me being a "newer collector", I'd say 5 years now, Patience is the best advice EVER. I only say this for me, and it may help others too. I began collecting when i lost my parents, right before i took the dive into memory lane. I wasted so much money, bought things i ended up not loving and more. If i gave it time, back then, and had tons of patience i would have considered it better. (lots of stuff given away and trashed because of doin it wrong, don't be me!)
Number one piece of advice I would give is don't collect something cause of value or to impress other collectors. Only collect stuff you have a passion for and you will be much happier in the long run.
Fantastic advice thanks! Be careful, dont tell him you got all this stuff, he might want to "come over" and check out your stuff and find out where you live. And then start scoping you out, find out when you are not there.
Collect what you can stomach. Think about plastic materials, space, esthetics. Why you need it in your collection. Are you satisfied with your purchase. Do you want to hang onto it. What is it's intrinsic value. Does it after time give you the creeps. Who sold it, what's the company line?😂❤ lot of thinking behind some of these characters and their designs.
My advise is try not to worry about having the complete sets of things. My bros and I collect as much as we can find but if it's not a full set, we don't care too much. Sometimes trying to get a full set will drive you crazy
I can see wives having come in from the car taking grown men out of there crying. Then being denied promised McDonald's on the way home. Followed by more crying.

There's a lot to consider for sure!

I think we've all given in to impulse purchases at one time or another.

Very few people ever get the option to drop by!

There will always be a next one...

Great advice guys. Love how you two touch on all aspects of the collectors lifestyle.
It's a lot to think about, we may have a follow up video.

There are a lot of people who are completists that really sweat having all the variants.
Focus and do your homework. Prices, accessories for completion, reproductions..etc. Buy collector books , information and knowledge is the key.
