I’m going into lockdown for the first time. Ty for this video and reassuring me if it didn’t happen right away to be patient. I already feel like a nervous hen momma 😅 and they’re not even here
Update they hatched 🐣 first on day 19 another day 20 and the last on day 21 all started pipping around the same time. Being patient and letting nature take its course is the best action 💯
Oh no my heart just breaks at the end 😔 but I’m glad you got them all good 😊 I have same incubator Thanks to your video I have a better idea what should I change to have a bunch of chicks
I’m enjoying your video. My eggs started to hatch yesterday. I mean I saw movement and heard chirping and it was out!! Super strong but was exhausted and slept all day practically. 5 hrs later (still wet), another egg hatched with all proper techniques to come into this world… but this morning both are still very wet??? What am I doing wrong? Humidity was 68, this morning 70. (3rd egg pecking now) ❤️ I’m a bit concerned and confused about them still looking wet. My husband says it’s because of the humidity? But according to instructions on the manual of my incubator, and other websites the humidity is at the proper level… Any advice would be appreciated the sooner the better lol ❤️🐥❤️
Amen! I am incubating babies right now and they are doing so well. I am currently using the nuture 360 egg thingy (forgot what it is called) and I only have 2 that seem kinda iffy but all are at different stages but not too far. No more than 5 days apart. I have this weird oblong egg which is rounded on both sides but still looks like a egg but like a pill at the same time. That one is the oldest one. It got in there on the 23rd of last month.
It looks like you removed the already hatched chicks from the incubator while waiting for others to hatch. I thought this was a big no-no, and the point of lockdown...so you don't lose heat and especially humidity. Did you open it while hatching? Is that detrimental? It appears you still had a very successful hatch... What kind of chicks are these? Did I miss you saying it? I'm guessing Barred Rocks?
I have two days left in the incubator the first the first egg shell is cracking already how do I know when the egg how do I know which eggs are bad or have no life?
We don't take them out immediately, but we do take them out before long. Our incubator holds the humidity really well, otherwise you shouldn't take off the lid.
Hey, where did you get the white flooring? I have the same incubator and was wondering. Seems like the hold is too big for baby chicks and they might hurt their legs
The flooring is shelf lining. It's a waffle weave pattern made of rubber or plastic. I use it too. It's non-slip, the chicks won't get their little toes caught in it, and it washes easily.
The water does it last the full 18 days or do you haft to keep refilling it?? And how come you candle lit them with a torch doesn't the Incubator have a built in one
You have to keep refilling it, a little everyday works. I just prefer a dark bathroom and my flashlight as opposed to trying to use the light on the incubator. It does work though, just the room usually isn't real dark. I started another batch yesterday, so more videos soon.
Sorry to hear you only had 1 hatch. I don't think the humidity matters to much until the last three days. Just a little water the first 19. Then 65-75% humidity the last 3 days.
Our incubator is very stable and so all the eggs hatched from day 20 to day 22. You can always pull an egg and candle it to look for any life after day 22 or 23.
How are you getting that many In one day I’m struggling getting enough eggs in one day and having to put them in different days so my day 18 is off 😩 can I collect two days worth them add them all together?
You can collect for up to two weeks before putting them in the incubator. A hen only lays one egg a day. They do the same before they start to actually lay on them. They collect until they have enough then start.
They are called heating plates. It is the temperature of a mother hen below it, and the chicks love to be underneath it and push their backs up against it, like they would a mother hen.
@@hatchingchicks1014 from the 1st pipped does it usually takes 12 to 24 hours to completely scape the egg? The second question that I would like to know some info also, is how many days from hatching when you remove them from incubator?
I had 30 eggs being taken care by two broody hens in the coop. Only 5 hatched and just 2 of those lived more than a couple of hours. A few minutes ago I ordered a Mann Pro Harris Farms Nature Right Incubator along with a Govee Hygrometer as insurance to be sure temp & humidity readings on the unit are accurate. I will never let wannabe-broody hens sit on eggs again.
I’m glad I’m not the only
One who gets SO anxious at hatching!!!
The little babies look so cute and fuzzy now!! I can’t believe they came from these little brown eggs!
Excellent hatch rate, good job. Nice video too. Thanks.
Thanks for watching! We were very happy with the hatch rate!
Why do you have a oval shape on the end of the egg?
Mine are hatching right now. One out, several pipped and one starting to zip. Thank you so much for sharing this video!
Very exciting! Hope you had a great hatch.

Interesting video! Fun to watch! And really is something to watch the beginning of life!
It really is!

Did they live? Sorry I’m late in responding
Nice ending video of the chicks outdoors
Thanks, it was fun to have them outside.
God's creation is amazing!
Very much so!!

Yes, HE is the one who created everyrhing in the universe.

I put my incubator at 100.5 F and humidity between 50-60 F and that works like a charm and I live in the deep woods in KY very close to TN!
Loved watching this. Great job
Thank you!

I thought the same thing, i have 13 more days on mine hopefully i don't mess up
I open my bators to get chicks out all of the time. The others hatch fine. Just hurry and get the one out and put the lid back on quickly.
It depends on the quality of your incubator. This incubator has no problem getting the humidity back up.
Sir Nice video... May I ask the Temperature and Humidity of your incubator from day 19-21???thank u for your answer.
65-75% humidity, especially on day 21!
Great video!!!
Thanks 😊

What are you using for the bedding? First timer here
Do you recommend I get this incubator?
It’s the best one out there
Name of this incubator please

Yep!
Did the fan up top cause any issues, I see where some can stick there heads up by fan
It is worth putting the heater plate on a slope Then the chicks can decide how warm they want to br

How long does it stay inside the incubator when they hatch????
It can stay up to a day, but we take ours out in groups. Our incubator doesn’t lose humidity to bad.
I watched my hens help open the eggs shells
to help the babies.
Ok interesting
How many days past 21 days did the last egg hatch?
Our incubator is very stable and so all the eggs hatched from day 20 to day 22. You can always pull an egg and candle it to look for any life after day 22 or 23.

You can collect a weeks worth, put them in a cool place and turn the eggs a little every day or so.
Does the red light inside stays flashing or does it need to stay red all the time
Flashing is totally fine!
What is the heater you're using?
They are called heating plates. It is the temperature of a mother hen below it, and the chicks love to be underneath it and push their backs up against it, like they would a mother hen.
@@hatchingchicks1014 thanks I'll look them up.
What if I only make one little hole and then stop
It starts with only one little hole and then waits for 12-24 hours to finish hatching

Did you use the egg turner ?
Yes, both incubators automatically turn the eggs. That is a must for me
breakfast could be of scrambled eggs
There are plenty of other eggs for that! ;)
Use a toilet paper tube with flashlight it will help focus the light
interesting, thanks
i just had to throw away 35 eggs i incubated in the Styrofoam incubator and they all died except two and three of them were like this
What when wrong? I too had to throw away like 14 eggs from the styrofoam one. 16 hatched

"Meeting each other" looks painful in chicken-culture...
Chicken-culture is ruthless from the get go
The poor little guys get pecked at before they are even awake!
Ewww you can’t eat eggs 🍳 while watching little baby chicks hatch 🐣!!!
.
Don’t take the chick out of the egg wait until day 25-26
You can candle and look for life.
