This has now easily become one of my top 5 all time favourite covers ever done. They nailed this song. Absolutely nailed it and went beyond with it. I got chills.
Amazing band I randomly came across.. I have not even finished listening to their cover of heart of gold.. yet... stoked to listen to their entire music catalog...
Afterwards they all nestled beneath a tree and dropped acid while a caricature of Charles Manson pranced around naked, preaching the "hippie-gospel" as kids from across the street, recorded them on their smart phones. "Look mom, grandma and her friends! Just like the old pictures in the photo album stored underneath the coffee table"!
Aren't they listed as a "cult"? I know its supposed to look that way on stage, but i saw stuff online that listed them as a real "religious cult". So what's the real story?
As many as Tim says they need, fella You're watching GREATNESS Don't try to "platform" off it by acting "too cool for the room" Just good advice, Bruh No anger
I was drunk in a small French town in 1990. The cover guitarist in the bar was in told me one golden rule: sing your own voice. It makes me sad when experienced musicians try to mimic a famous sound like the whining vocals of Neil Young. Make it your own, man. Other than that, this song is beautiful.
You'd think 21st century hippies world smash gender roles and have more women playing instruments instead of singing backup. These guys are in my playlist. Still.
Viewing other of their videos you may note the lineup of musicians, their instruments, and genders, is fluid, including no less than Annie Clark/St. Vincent (on guitar, of course).
Get over yourself. When choosing musicians for a piece you pick what fits the arrangement and sound you're looking for. In this case, they wanted female voices. I guess you didn't notice the woman on cello? I love how some people go looking for things to get irate about. Save your indignation for things more fitting.
I've had eight years to discover this and it's the first time I've heard it.
smfh.
Amazing cover.

Same here.
How many people do you need in your band?
Polyphonic Spree: Yes
fuckin cult man. theres so many bands you can be in that are not that polyphonic. also he looks like a piece of shit
and this cover is the boringest i ever heard. goddamn.
As many guitarists the eagles need
Depends, how many people can we fit in the bus?
Very good, very funny 🙂
As I wrote on the original posting, nice to see The Manson Family Singers perform such a reverent tribute to Neil Young. Solid A.
Av club was such a great series.
This is fantastic. It could be used in a Italian western.
I’m glad to see the kids of Waco actually made it out before the fire.
And they are stockpiling musical instruments instead of weapons
Underrated comment!
That would explain where they learned how to bring down the house every time they play.
Savage😂

One of them female singers has some amazing pipes . . this is really a well-recorded song. Instruments and voices are just dead-on perfect.
Its definitely not the black haired one. She's barely there at all
wonder what her name is!
It’s the shorter brunette, Jessica Jordan.
The one with dark hair resembles a young Cher (Think Sonny & Cher era Cher)
Her voice is angelic!
Daaang what a cover !! As good as Charles Bradley's (RIP). Awesome job Polyphonic Spree !
Incredible cover!
Have their album from a few years ago, thought they went away, great band!,
Love, love, love this.
Wow, this is great!
St. Vincent brought me here. The lead singer is from Tripping Daisy
The Manson Family vibes have always freaked me out, but damn, this is so good.
I miss old AV Club.
So do I.
INCREDIBLE!!!
love TPS............ amazing!!!!!
Awesome!
Describe polyphonic spree: "Like. .20 people cover a song by a 3-4 piece band and it somehow works great"
Brilliant! 💛
Starting to see how the AV Club was so great...
one more you're nuts guy's dad hair cut threw me.
heart !
Do you know that guy was the lead singer on Trippin' Daisy? love him.
I don’t know why I’m smiling...but damn
very fun
Amzing cover :) Thanks
I don't know about the heart part but one of the female singers here clearly has a voice of gold
Todd and Lorraine are amazing
Polyphonic Spree is the band equivalent of Theseus's Ship.
Why didn't I hear of these guys sooner/// Are you guys still around ???
The bass player is my favorite
I can see the sorrow in your eyes 2:22
Bright eyes
Looks like they just rolled out of bed on the commune.
Way better than the original. Rare cover W! Fire
Are they a band, or a cult? That's not a judgment, I just want to know where the bus is
is good
Which ones are Todd and Elaine?
Nice. The George Martin arrangemet.
Tmanaz480 what is they?
❤
There is so many of them, dividing the performance fee must be a bitch.
Imagine the hotel bill when they're on tour.

I'm not sure if this is a cult I would join..
I've never wanted to join a cult more in my life
Aren't they listed as a "cult"? I know its supposed to look that way on stage, but i saw stuff online that listed them as a real "religious cult". So what's the real story?
Why do all of those guys have bed-head? I mean, can't they clean up a little before going to rehearsal?
doesn't matter, we're here for the music
They did.
Justin Case because we had literally jut woke, rode life rules.
As many as Tim says they need, fella
You're watching GREATNESS
Don't try to "platform" off it by acting "too cool for the room"
Just good advice, Bruh
No anger
when people ask "What does Too many Cooks in the Kitchen mean?" I just send them this video.
Talk about a super spreader event.
Bet it smells in there

You must have never listened to Tim DeLaughter before this. He's very much singing his own voice, not mimicking.
Those are just his vox. He's had the same tone since his days in Tripping Daisy and before, he's not trying to sing like Neil Young
Хиппи недоделанные 🤣🤣🤣
Is this a cult?
