Back in '84, I drove solo from near (sort of--1.5 hours away) Chicago to Alaska, arriving on the morning of Day 8 in Skagway. I was gone 31 days in total, and drove 9,244 miles. That was an amazing trip. My cruise experience was about 7 hours on the Alaska State Ferry between Haines and Juneau. I also went to Denali for 3 days, where I saw the mountain (about a 30% chance of seeing it w/o cloud cover), got about an hour north of Fairbanks, and took a 2-day tour of the Arctic (Nome and Kotzebue). Absolutely amazing! At around 5:10--I hope you enjoyed the "mountain thing".😂

I went on a giant Norwegian cruise ship in the Caribbean as a work reward once and honestly wasn't that impressed because the ship was so packed and the shore excursions were so short and when I travel I want to mingle with the locals, not spend my time socializing with a bunch of tourists. But this Alaska cruise ship looks smaller than the one I was on and the amenities look *really nice* plus the scenery passing by makes me want to book a Norwegian Alaska cruise now! Thanks again for the great content. I love what you do and your fun, real world attitude makes it that much better.
