25 Cops Killed in Baragoi, Iteere

A total of 31 bodies have been retrieved from Lokorkor village in Samburu with many more bodies still believed to be missing from Saturday's brutal ambush of police officers by cattle rustlers in Samburu. Police Commissioner Matthew Iteere has given the official number of police officers killed during the ambush as 25 with 7 more missing but a Citizen TV crew that flew to the scene of the massacre counted as many as 31 bodies with red cross officials saying that with the rugged terrain that is making it difficult to navigate the area, the number of those killed could be even higher. Iteere should resign.... and then the govt should send the kdf to deal with these cattle rustlers who i suspect are ethiopian troops or oromo mercenaries... they should wipe them out, this is a real war.

A sad day for Kenya , when 25 officers were killed and 48 in a similar ambush incident. But we need to ask who is funding the arms for these rustlers .? One of the survivors said their was about 400 of them. This is like a private army and they must have had bigger and better weapons than the police, there is a bigger picture here to be investigated . In fact government devolving power to Governors and giving them control of counties was the worst thing they could have done --these guys fly around in helicopters and act like kings and have budgets to fund all sorts of things. They also have massive amounts of private security akin to private armies also well armed. So again we need to ask who turned a blind eye and allowed these rustlers to exist with this amount of weapons and ammunition in their areas. Again you don’t find these things hanging in the trees for free, somebody somewhere is funding them. This again is like the politically motivated invasions of the ranches in laikipia district when they were heavily armed as well and who funded them .? A sad day for all those police that lost their lives.
